Chapter 99

Two minutes after leaving the manager's room, Nina took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. A few seconds later, a wide smile tugged at her lips. She elt very relieved, not expecting that she had passed the first stage before trying her luck in this big company. 

While her friends in arms were still busy deciding where they would intern for the next three months, she actually received a special recommendation from the professor who was known to be fierce and strict. As the man had said, Professor Stevenson was a very selective person, if anyone managed to grab attention, it was certain that person had some special abilities. 

"Can I smile now? Ohohoho..." Because she couldn't hold back her joy, she even laughed stupidly while dancing happily in front of the open elevator, right when she showed that ridiculous expression. 

Tin... 

The lift door opened revealing three men and a woman in formal attire standing in the lift. 

Nina paused, frozen like a ridiculous mannequin. The four people looked at her confused, the two men and the woman started to hold back their laughter, while the man who stood in the middle looked coldly at her with a sneer. 

She gulped, the look in that man's eyes was really haughty and frightening. Seeing that man, the three people nearby immediately fell silent and did not laugh. She immediately stepped aside to give way, after they got out of the elevator, she rushed in to hide her embarrassment. 

"What am I doing? Ah...no! How is this?" She shouted hysterically. Not to mention being accepted at this company, she even acted ridiculous and embarrassing like that in front of the other employees. 

The happiness she felt a few minutes ago, immediately turned into painful sorrow. She walked unenthusiastically out of this skyscraper. If she were to be accepted as an apprentice, if she were to meet those four people again, she would definitely be very embarrassed. 

"How about this?" Her heart is desperate. Nina was worried that if one of them complained to the manager about her embarrassing behavior, she would definitely not be accepted. 

Dring...dring... 

Her cell phone rang, she immediately took the cell phone out of her bag. 

"Yes, what's wrong?" 

"Where are you?" 

"At some place!" 

"What's wrong? Why does your voice sound so sickening?" 

"Nothing, what are you doing?" 

"I'm going to the supermarket, want to come?" 

"Yeah, fine. But I'm outside!" 

"Where? Let me pick you up?" 

"In front of the Number One tv station!" 

"Hah? What are you doing there?" 

"I'll tell you later, pick me up now!" 

"Yeah, wait there!"

Nina got into the car and sat down with a gloomy face. Aiden immediately brought his face closer to check the condition of this banana girl. 

"Since when you wear a skirt like this, what business is there?" 

"Earlier I gave a letter of recommendation from the campus for an internship there!" 

"Wow...you're really great, aren't you? Hahaha.. to think that your brain is useful for other things too!" Aiden said with a laugh. He ruffled Nina's hair which was still neatly styled. 

"Hey, get your hands off my beautiful hair!" She shouted while brushing Aiden's hand away. 

"Besides, what's with your clothes? You want to join such a big TV station with this appearance? Are you kidding me?" 

"What's wrong with my appearance? Pretty good, right? Nothing wrong!" 

"You're too cute, what if someone bothers you?" 

Hearing Aiden's cute joke almost made her lulled. Her lips almost smiled, but she hastily held back so Aiden wouldn't think that she was easily persuaded. 

"Very well, Sir. Thank you for the compliment. But this is how I survive in this competitive world!" 

"Is being my girlfriend not enough for you?" 

"Not!" 

"Oh...is that so? So there's still something missing? If you need anything, just tell me!" 

"Are you sure you will?" 

"No! Hahaha..." Aiden laughed funny while driving his car. His heart felt happy because he managed to give resistance to this woman. 

"Okay, well, anyway, since when did you want to give something to me? My debt still has to be paid, right?" 

"Of course! You have to work for me until your debts are paid off, understand? Hahaha..." Aiden's laugh irritated her. In fact, half an hour ago she was still trying to hide her face because of embarrassment and now, this annoying man is making her mood even worse. 

Minutes later, the atmosphere in the car was very quiet. Ever since she was teased, Nina didn't say anything at all. Aiden glanced at Nina who was sitting beside him, her sullen face only made her look even cuter. 

"Are you angry?" 

"Don't talk to me!" 

"Wow...well, my dear is angry? Want to eat ice cream?" 

"I can't be persuaded with food!" 

"Then, what do you want?" 

"Nothing!" 

"Really? Clothes, bags, shoes, anything is fine!" 

"Seriously? You want to buy it for me? You're not kidding, right?" 

"Seems easy to persuade, huh?" 

"W-who said that? Even if you bought it for me, it doesn't mean I forgive you!" 

"Forgive me? What did I do wrong to you that you should forgive me?" 

"You're guilty for pissing me off! Oh yeah, don't forget the ice cream too. I want two!" 

"You said you don't want ice cream?" 

"Now I want!" 

"You crazy !" 

Aiden parked his car in the mall parking area. Before getting out of the car, he realized that he couldn't walk in a crowded place with Nina like this. 

"Aiden, are you sure you're going to come out? What if the paparazzi take your picture? You could be in trouble, right?" 

"Don't worry, I'll wear this hat and sunglasses!" He took out his camouflage gear which he hoped would make people not recognize him, bearing in mind that many of his photos were displayed on the various products he starred in. 

"But-" 

"Come on, take it easy! No one will notice, people are too busy to care about us. Come on!" Aiden opened his car door and stepped out confidently, while Nina was still unsure. 

Aiden held her hand and led her to walk side by side like a normal couple. His grip on her hand made Nina flutter, it was like a dream to be able to walk hand in hand like this with someone who was impossible for her to be with. 

"Why is he so cool?" She thought. She walked with her head down with a red face. Her self-confidence increases and she thinks, maybe this time at least she can feel what it's like to be the female lead in a romantic novel. 

Aiden took her to the department stores selling branded goods, most of which he had worked with. Aiden who entered, immediately looked at the women's clothing section that might be suitable for Nina to wear. 

"Try this one on!" He said while showing a red mini dress that looked very elegant. 

"Wear this shirt?" Being a calculating person, the first thing Nina did was look at the price tag of this shirt. 

"What? 2000 dollars? Crazy! A dress like this costs that much? Does it have gold lining? If it's like this I'd better just ask him to pay off my debts!" She thought who felt very shocked. 

"Why? You don't like?" 

"N-no, that-" 

"How about that on display?" Aiden said, pointing to a mannequin wearing one of the main fashions for this season. 

Seeing his appearance made Nina tremble, her poor soul started thrashing. She looked around her, this place was the place where socialites and aristocrats bought the clothes they used to wear at parties or even, their everyday clothes. 

Nina who was just stunned by all the considerations that made her self-esteem drop, didn't realize that she had already asked one of the shop employees to give her a dress that was on the main display of the shop. 

"Try this one too! I love this one!" Aiden said who looked very calm. What are the habits of rich people like that? Buy something without having to look at the price tag first? 

Nina wasn't sure if she could take a peek at the price tag on this black dress that looked so much prettier. She closed her eyes for a moment while mentally preparing herself, so she wouldn't faint when she found out how much this shirt cost. 

"I'm die! 5000 dollars?"
