Chapter 76

Aiden paused, confused by what he had just said. Since when did Aiden have the courage to reveal his heart to other people? as if for the first time in his life, he no longer wanted to be under the power and pressure of others, as he had felt in the past. 

"You're cool, Aiden! I agree with you. But the problem is, are you ready for all the obstacles that you will experience in the future?" 

"I think it would be very unprofessional if he brought personal matters into work, I don't think he's that type of person!" 

"That's what you think, Aiden. But Samantha is a person who will do anything to get what she wants. I just want you to be careful, because if you get into serious trouble with her, you can be sure that I and our agency will be affected," Chloe doesn't seem to be messing with her words. Maybe because she already knew who Samantha really was, that's why Chloe had doubts about the relationship Aiden was in. Moreover, seeing Aiden who is not at all happy.

Aiden's cell phone rang. Suddenly he felt uneasy, especially when he had to read the name that appeared on his cellphone screen. 

"I'll pick up the phone first!" He said. 

"From Samantha?" 

"Yes," 

"Ok!" 

Aiden stepped away from where Chloe was, with a heavy heart he picked up the incoming call from Samantha. 

"Yes, Sam? What's wrong?" 

"Where are you?" 

"I'm having a photo shoot, what's wrong?" 

"Are you mad at me? Am I bothering you?" 

"Actually yes, sorry-"

"You're so honest, Aiden. I really like honest men, so I know what to do next!" 

"What's the matter? You want me to do something for you?" 

"Yes, there's a party tonight at the Grand New York Hotel, I want you to come with me!" 

"Tonight?" 

"Yes, tonight. How about honey? I hope you don't have anything else planned tonight." 

"Not really, but I want to get some rest early tonight because tomorrow I'm going to Paris." 

"What time do you leave tomorrow?" 

"10:00 AM." 

"Then that's fine, right? We can go home before the party is over. There are many important people who will be attending the event." 

"Actually what party?" 

"A friend's company birthday. I already said I would come with you, if I end up coming alone, it will make others suspicious. So, you should come too!" 

Aiden took a deep breath and let it out slowly. It was really hard to accept the invitation, he had thought about spending the night with Nina because tomorrow they would be separated for a few days. If he had to go out with Samantha, it meant it wouldn't be a special night. 

"Aiden, why are you silent? Or maybe you already have plans with Nina?" 

"No! Ok, what time do I pick you up?" 

"Seven o'clock!" 

"Okay, I'll come!" 

"Thank you my dear, I love you-" said Samantha. Aiden who didn't feel the same way, immediately ended the conversation. This is sickening bullshit. Where is the admiration he used to feel for Samantha, disappeared somewhere.

"Why is your face like that you don't have the will to live!" Nina said, just as she greeted Aiden who had just come home. 

Aiden ignored her and just walked in. She wrinkled her forehead, she didn't understand at all with Aiden's unpredictable way of thinking. 

"Aiden, what's wrong? Are you in trouble?" 

"Tomorrow I'm leaving for Paris and I don't know how long I'll be there either!" 

"Is that so? Don't worry, I'll still come to clean and feed Squishy. You don't need to worry!" 

Aiden smiled bitterly and walked straight up to Nina while giving him a look that her could quite decipher. 

"I want us to spend time together tonight." 

"Okay, I don't mind!" 

"Is that true?" 

"If I said no, you would still insist, right?" 

"Yes," 

"So what?" 

"Samantha asked me to accompany her to the party, it seemed like a very important party and she-"

"Then go!" 

"You don't mind?" 

"Why should I mind? She's your girlfriend right? I think she has more rights over you." 

"Don't talk like that! You are the most entitled to me. I want to be with you, I want to hold you all night." 

"We can do it when you get home from the party." 

"Is that true?" 

"Yes, I will wait for you to come home." 

"Are you serious? You're not going back to your apartment, are you?" 

"No, but don't go home too late. Otherwise, I'll sleep first!" 

"I'll be home soon, don't go anywhere? promise?" 

"Promise!" 

Aiden smiled, his unease disappearing after meeting those beautiful eyes. He realizes that the best thing he wants to do is spend time with the people he loves, even if they don't have a normal relationship like that of other people. 

Aiden is getting ready for a party, wearing a suit that is formal, but more relaxed. Nina even helped Aiden put on his tie. 

"Why do you keep looking at me?" Asked Nina who stood in front of him. 

"If I went to a party with you, I would feel happier." 

"It doesn't matter who to party with, it's just a party right? You just need to come, have a drink and talk." 

"Don't go anywhere! Just watch when I get home you're not there!" 

"What if I run away?" 

"I'll find you and drag you back. You know you can't run away from me, right?" 

"Hmm...but I've run away from you before, you still remember, right? When you were waiting for me in front of my apartment and caught me like a thief." 

"Hahaha...you screamed and made people pay attention to us. You used that chance to run away, you crazy woman! You made me run like a fool!"

"Does that mean, you want me to wait for you?"

"It won't mean anything if you're all he wants!" Nina said. Aiden was silent, it was true that everything would be meaningless if that love had already grown in Samantha's heart and it would be very difficult for her to just let him go. 

"Therefore, I hope you can wait for me." 

"Aren't you also challenging me to find another man and date him? Is that still valid?" 

"You want to do it?"

"Do it, if you can! I feel guilty because I'm the only one who is selfish by continuing to be in a relationship with another woman, when you love me like this. It seems, I also have to test your feelings. Is it true that your love is only for me?"
