Chapter 97

Nina ooked down, she couldn't look at Aiden's eyes any longer. That tenderness will only make her more and more carried away in love, if it's like this, it will definitely be very difficult for her to let go of Aiden. 

But, how can she compete with a woman like Samantha who is beautiful, elegant and has everything? The ideal daughter-in-law of the in-laws out there. A miserly and greedy woman like herself would only be seen as a parasite that sucks the juice from the lives of those around her. 

"Don't think about it too much! I don't want to cause you trouble because of this problem. Let's just live it as it is, my mother will definitely support whatever I want. Believe me, all I want is you!" Aiden whispered in Nina's ear. Aiden gently touched Nina's hair to make her feel better. 

The scent of the perfume that Aiden uses is like aromatherapy that makes her soul calm, coupled with the touch of Aiden's soft and warm hands. Nina had never felt so peaceful around a man before. 

"Thanks, Aiden."

"Thank you for what?" 

"Thank you for loving me. You know? It means a lot to me!" 

"So that means you accept me as your boyfriend?" 

"It means?" 

"Can we make our relationship official now?" 

"Your status is still Samantha's lover, right?" 

"I've cut my ties with her!"" 

"But she still can't accept it, right? Besides, the news of your breakup has not been made official either. If anyone finds out that we are together, you could be accused of having an affair and your reputation will be ruined!" 

"What? Have an affair? Hahaha...turns out I can have an affair too, huh? So, this is what is called cheating? Ok, I understand now!" Aiden said with a laugh. He didn't really care about jokes like that because he felt he had never received Samantha's love. It was just a unilateral decision he made when Aiden's feelings were in turmoil because he had just been rejected. 

"Aiden, this is serious! You know that Samantha might have a lot of influence in the fashion world. I heard that her family are important people in the world of fashion as well as entertainment. Her family is not just any family, that's why-"

"Nina, listen to me! I don't care about that kind of bluffing at all. I've had enough of being pressured by her like I'm her slave. You don't need to be afraid, I'll be fine and I'll solve this as soon as possible!" 

"How are you going to finish it?" 

"I will make a statement in the media when my relationship with Samantha is over!" 

"If you make a statement like that, the paparazzi will definitely find out the reason for the end of your relationship. They will also definitely look for the issue of infidelity which makes the news even hotter." 

"Is that so? Looks like you're an expert at this kind of thing, huh?" 

"That's because I follow the infotainment quite often. The lives of the stars and their love affairs are to be used as a reference, therefore there is a possibility that your life's matters will be dragged along as well!" 

"I didn't think that far ahead-'

"Don't be so naive! Don't you realize that you are very famous right now? News about you is almost always on the internet, not to mention the gossip of actors and singers who often mention you in scandals so that their names will bounce back? Because of that You better be careful too-" 

Aiden didn't understand why he, who had never even been involved in other people's affairs, was brought up just because he was currently on top. Strange, because he almost never reads the news on the internet, let alone the lives of the stars. However, seeing Nina who was actually worried about her career, made him feel moved. 

"Calm down! I'll solve my own problems, you just sit pretty and watch, okay? When everything is back to normal, I want to show the world that you are my girlfriend!" Aideb said while stroking Nina's head. 

Nina didn't know why she could feel so worried about him. The reason for this, was likely due to Cindy's story about his past life and how his mentality had been destroyed by the words and actions of other people who were so mean to him. 

"Okay, I believe you."

Aiden woke up naturally, got out of bed and headed towards the kitchen only to confirm that his mother was really here. 

His nose felt the aroma of his mother's delicious pancakes that used to be his favorite breakfast menu every day. This sweet scent made his eyes open wide. 

Aiden could see his mother slapping three pancakes on a plate and topped with maple syrup and a slice of butter. 

"My favorite boy is awake, huh? Let's have breakfast!" 

"Mom, please don't say that! I'm not a child anymore!" He protested who felt that he was too old to be treated spoiled like this. 

"Why? The last time you came home you still looked happy when I said it, why are you acting so mature now? I'm suspicious, don't you think-"

"Could it be what?" He asked while sipping a glass of fresh milk. 

"There's been a woman who took your chastity, huh?" 

"Cough..." Aiden immediately choked, the milk that was in his throat immediately gushed out. 

Aiden's attack of shame recurred, spreading from his toes to the top of his head. His face started to turn red, he hadn't felt this embarrassed in a long time since the banana girl walked into his life and trampled on his pride as a man. 

"Why are you so surprised? Your words are right on target, aren't you?" 

"W-what are you talking about? It has nothing to do with it-"

"It doesn't have anything to do with it? The last time you came back to Alberta, you still asked for a pat on the head before going to sleep, besides that you still asked for a glass of warm milk to be made. But now, you've changed a lot and it must have something to do with that girl, right?" Mrs. Emila stared at Aiden with intimidation, making him unable to avoid it. 

In an instant, he immediately realized that all this time he really was more like a child than a 26 year old man. Of course he still clearly remembers how embarrassed he was when thousands of inappropriate messages entered his social account. But now, he was getting used to adult things, even now he really liked it. 

Seeing this beloved son who looked confused, made Mrs. Emila feel sorry. Apparently, she realized that she used to really restrain Aiden because of deep trauma when him almost left his life. In fact, he even criticized Aiden's intention to continue studying in Harvard because he was still worried about Aiden's unstable mental condition and tended to hurt himself. 

When she found out that he was modeling, her worries grew even bigger. But over time, Aiden proves that now he is okay and he is ready to accept the love of his life. 

“I'm eelieved that you are okay-"

"You mean, Mom?" 

"I always worried about you, I'm afraid that you'll decide to leave like before. But it seems, my worries are too much. You look much better and happier, am I right?" 

"Yes, you're right, I'm much better and now, I have a goal. So don't worry anymore, mom!"
