Chapter 38

Aiden opened his eyes, sunlight was pouring in through the windows and the morning breeze was blowing softly, gently blowing the curtains. 

He raised his head, his eyes immediately fell on the alarm clock on the table, 7.00 am and today is Aiden's last day off, because starting tomorrow there are many work schedules waiting. 

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, he stepped into the kitchen, toasted some plain bread and spread it with strawberry jam. For him, this is a boring breakfast menu, Aiden wants to eat other dishes that are more delicious such as cream soup, meat omelette, pancakes with maple syrup or sandwiches. 

Unfortunately, he is not good at cooking. So he had to settle for toast and strawberry jam. 

"That's right, why don't I just use her to cook and clean my house? I'm sure she won't be able to pay off her debts. If she works at my house for one year, I think it's enough to pay off her huge debts." Aiden thought while thinking a new plan in his head. 

Drrrrnggg... drrrnggg... 

Aiden's phone rang. No wind, no rain, Nina the banana girl called him this early in the morning. Even though last night she was angry for no apparent reason. 

"What?" He asked loudly, as if he was replying to what Nina did. 

"Why are you so angry? Are you crazy?" 

"Are you the one who's crazy? Have you forgotten that you snapped at me last night?" 

"Oh yeah, that's why I want to apologize for being rude to you. I'm sorry, I was really upset last night and you kept calling me. Sorry, Okay?" She asked hopefully. But it sounded insincere to Aiden's ears. 

"Well, if you really have a problem, what can I do. There's something I want to talk to you about!" 

"Me too," 

"What do you want to talking about?" Aiden asked. Though he had guessed that this must have something to do with her debts. 

"Erm... that about my debts. I want to ask you-" 

"I knew it! You're being cute like this because you want it. Your way of thinking is predictable!" 

"Hehe... how about we meet this afternoon? Can you or not?" 

"This afternoon? Where?" 

"At the cafe where we first met, you remember the place, right?" 

"Yeah... well, what time is it?" 

"How about four? 

"You're planning something, right? You sound really excited!" Aiden asked suspiciously. How is it possible that people who are in debt can be so excited to meet people who give debt? Isn't this weird and suspicious? 

"You're always suspicious of me, aren't you? Once in a while try to think positively, don't stay negative!" 

"You don't need to teach me, you're the one who makes me have to be vigilant so you don't keep on tricking me. When you meet at a cafe, you expect me to pay for all the food you order. Right?" 

"Hehe... you know that I don't have any money. Treating a meal like that won't make you poor, right?" 

"Well, I hope you have something good to say. Otherwise, you'll know the consequences!" 

"Don't be so fierce, Aiden! Oh yeah, you wanted to say something earlier. What's wrong?" 

"No, later when we meet. It's better to talk about it in person!" 

"Okay, see you at four?" 

"Yeah!" Aiden shuddered, for some reason the hairs on the back of his neck were crawling. This was a bad omen, he sensed something was about to happen to him. But what? 

Meanwhile, Nina was smiling so wide her lips were about to slip away from hers. She never thought it would be this easy to ask Aiden to meet. In fact, she had prepared some ammunition to make Aiden melt. But apparently, she didn't need to use it. 

"I have good news!" She said who immediately approached Courtney and Jennifer on the couch. 

"What news?" Asked the two girls simultaneously. 

"This afternoon you two can meet Aiden!" 

"Huh? Really? Kyaaaa..." Courtney and Jennifer screamed hysterically, making Nina cover her ears spontaneously. 

"You guys really like screaming, huh?" 

"H-how come? Didn't you say last night he was very busy?" 

"Maybe it's because it's Sunday, so he has time to relax. How about it? Do you want it or not?" 

"Of course! Kyaaa... Aiden, finally...!" 

"All right, then where is the money? When will you give it to me?" 

"Wait a minute, we haven't met Aiden yet. When we meet him, we'll give him one!" 

"No! Maybe later you don't want to give it to me!" 

"You don't believe us? We live in the same apartment!" Courtney said. 

"That's right, we can not lie to you!" 

"Yes, all right. Four o'clock this afternoon at the Orange Cafe. You have to dress pretty and don't forget to wear perfume, Aiden doesn't like women with smelly armpits!" 

"Jenny, let's go to the beauty salon!" 

"What?" 

"Yes, all to the spa. Pedicures, manicures, our appearance must be perfect. Do you remember? Aiden is a famous super model who is currently the craze of many women. Don't let us embarrass ourselves in front of him!" Courtney said hotly. Her burning passion made the room turn hot. 

"You're right, let's go!"

Aiden sat in the exact same place where he and Nin first met. Even today, he is also the one who has to wait as if he needs her help. 

"That idiot, it's always been like this!" He thought angrily. He repeatedly glanced at the clock on his hand which showed 4.10 minutes, 10 minutes past their appointment time. 

Ten meters from where he was waiting, Nina and her two friends were standing at the door of the cafe. Five minutes ago, Nina peeked inside to confirm Aiden's whereabouts. 

"Okay, good luck?" 

"What? You're not coming in with us?" Jennifer asked. 

"If I come, he will be nervous. So you two better off. I'll be waiting outside!" 

"You already told him that the two of us are your friends, right?" 

"Of course, you guys take it easy! You just need to approach him who is sitting in the corner. Introduce yourself, sit down and chat with him. That's all!" 

"Okay, come on Jenny, let's go inside!" 

"I'm so nervous, I'm sure I'll faint if I come face to face with him!" 

"Don't faint, it's a bother! Never mind, it's okay. He's a good man and also friendly, there's nothing to worry about. Especially if he knows you guys are his big fans, he will definitely be happy." 

"That's right, then we go in first!" Courtney and Jennifer stepped boldly into the cafe which was quite crowded. 

Jennifer was shaking, she didn't feel ready, even though this was something she had been waiting for for a long time. Meanwhile Courtney was impatient, looking directly at Aiden's handsome face. 

"That's him! So handsome like an angel," Courtney said. 

"That's right, my goodness how is this? Are we really going to talk to him?" 

"Of course, come on!" Courtney and Jennifer approached Aiden carefully. 

"Hey Aiden, sorry to keep you waiting!" Courtney said with a clumsy smile. Aiden immediately turned his head, looking at the two unknown women who suddenly stood in front of him. 

"Who are you?"
