Chapter 104
Nina gulped, having received her first assignment from the captain. As Depney said, Gavin Conell is downright unfriendly. Even the way he spoke was also a little rough.
Because she had been ordered, finally Nina joined the other crew to clean up this place. She didn't know that the crew also had to clean their workplace, because all this time, she thought that there was already a cleaner who would do it.
"Hi, new employee, huh?" Asked a red-haired young man who suddenly appeared beside Nina who was busy cleaning the glass.
"Ah...n-no, I'm an intern!"
"Oh... you must still young, right? What's your name?"
"Nina!"
"Nina? Ok? my name is Jean Spinger. Just call me Jean, I'm one of the cameramen here. If you need help, just tell me, ok?"
"Okay, thank you Jean!"
"Hehehe...no need to thank, beautiful women are always welcome at-"
Pleeekkk...
A punch from a sword made from a pile of paper landed on his head.
"Ouch..." Jean winced as he rubbed his head.
"W-who? Hehehe...C-Captain Gavin?" Jean who was initially angry, immediately smiled stupidly when he saw the scary face standing behind him.
"Finish your work!" Gavin said with an eerie aura that sent chills down everyone's spines.
"I-I'm sorry, Captain. Nina, we'll continue this later, shall we?" Jean said as he walked quickly to where he should be.
Seeing Jean running screaming, made Nina begin to realize how scary this person was. He brought his paper beater with him just to punish people who didn't do their jobs properly.
The look in his tired eyes looked very intimidating, not to mention the sentence he uttered when he saw the crew not doing their cleaning duties properly sounded very disturbing. Nina felt very wary and hoped she didn't cause any trouble here.
"I'll check your work. Clean out that cupboard over there too!" He said which means command.
"Yes, Sir!"
"Wait!"
"Ah...y-yes, Sir?"
"Don't touch the cameras over there, you understand?"
"I understood, Sir!" Same with Jean, Nina immediately ran fast to avoid this scary man.
She had no idea where the fun in this group was. Everyone looks like they are working hard, even though they are just cleaning. Not to mention the dictator-like leader, this group is far from pleasant.
After the cleaning was over, Gavin stood in the middle holding his paper sword. With his cold and arrogant style, he looked around his surroundings which looked very clean. Yes, really clean shiny as he expected.
"Now assemble!" He shouted. The crew immediately gathered and left the remains of their work, including Nina the apprentice.
"Oi, Brat! Come here!" Shouted Captain Gavin, glancing at Nina who was standing at the back of the line.
"I-I am I, Sir?" Nina asked confused.
"Who else is the brat here?"
"Yes, Sir!" Nina walked over to the scary captain and stood beside him.
"Introduce yourself!"
"Introducing, I am Karenina Morales, I'm 21 years old. I am a student at New York University majoring in communication science. Please help, thank you!"
Clap...clap...clap...
Applause was heard from the crew of 30 people. They smiled kindly, for some reason she felt happy because it seemed like she was welcome here.
"Nina, do you have a boyfriend?" Jean asked excitedly as he raised his hand.
"Um...that-",
"Hey idiot! What are you asking? Don't make her nervous!" Said the blonde haired man standing beside Jean.
"Nina, how about you help me make the concept of the event? It will be fun-" Depney said with a big smile.
"You don't decide, four eyes!"
"Come on, Gavin. We need some good ideas to keep our program at the top of ratings!"
"What's your specialty?" Asked Captain Gavin.
"I-I'm pretty good at writing and drafting stories."
"Okay, you join the group of the four eyes!"
"Yeah...hooray...!" Depney shouted happily.
"But, I will see your ability for one week, if you are not good. You are forced to be transferred to another group!"
"Okay, Sir!" She said as he stepped back into place. Quickly, Depney pulled Nina and embraced her intimately.
"Nina, let's start now. Please help, okay? Don't hesitate to show your bright ideas. They are very useful for our program!"
"I will try!"
“Oi brat, listen to me!”
"Forgive me!"

Nina sat with dreamy eyes, on the first day, I don't know how many times that gloomy face scolded her. Even though the event hasn't started yet, her mentality has been thoroughly tested.
Those eyes didn't even stop watching her, making it hard for her to breathe calmly. She had only been in this place for four hours, but she felt more tired than when she had to clean Aiden's apartment.
"Why are you relaxing there? Photocopy this document now!" Ordered the captain who did not let her rest a bit.
"Okay, Sir!" She quickly received the document and walked quickly to the copier in the corner of the room.
"Uh...you nut! He won't let me rest at all!" She muttered who was finally able to let out the annoyance in her heart that she had been harboring for four hours.
"Yeah...the paper is out, where do they keep the stock?"
She checked the cupboards filled with important items. But there was no paper that he could use. Looks like they kept it somewhere else.
At the right time, Depney and Colin came out of the editor's room with serious faces while reading the pile of papers in their hands.
"Depney, where is A4 paper stored? Captain Gavin asked me to photocopy this document!"
"Looks like we're out of stock, let me ask Darren to pick it up at the warehouse-"
"No, let me take it!"
"You know where our shed is?"
"No!"
"Go down to the first floor, continue straight until you reach the baseman. Before the baseman's door, there is a door that says warehouse in front of it. Well, later there will be a warehouse keeper and just ask him for the papers. Can you do that?"
"Yes, I can!"
"Okay, if it's hard to find the place. Just ask anyone you meet, okay? They'll know!"
"Good!"
Nina immediately rushed to carry out her task, which even though it sounded trivial. But at least, even if only for a moment she could escape the terrible stares that were constantly directed at her.
Nina got into the elevator and went down to the first floor, after arriving, she only needed to walk straight through the corridor to get to the warehouse that Depney said. With her hospitality, Nina was immediately assisted by the warehouse keeper.
After getting what she was looking for, she brought three packs of A4 paper which can be said to be quite heavy. However, Nina knew that she was not complaining and asked for help from people who seemed to have their own busy lives in this place.
"Ugh...it's too heavy.!" She muttered as she stepped into the elevator.
Shevstood alone in the lift that began to take her through floor after floor. Upon arriving at the third floor, the elevator door opened, the man who Manager Claude said was the President Director of the TV Station entered the elevator alone without the usual crowd following her.
She was surprised, being in the same elevator with this man was really the thing she avoided the most. She paused and looked down to hide her anxiety. While her mind was spinning violently, forcing her to reprimand the director or remain silent as if she didn't see him.
"Ouch...what should I do?"
