Chapter 110

"Hahahaha..." Three minutes since she said that the director hated him, Aiden's laughter didn't stop. 

I don't know what made him feel that it was something funny and deserved to be laughed at for three minutes. Nina was very upset because Aiden seemed to be dancing happily above her misery. 

"If you keep laughing, I better go home alone!" She said threateningly. 

"Hahahaha...I'm sorry! Fine, I'll stop laughing!" Aiden said while suppressing his urge to laugh in order to keep this woman from feeling like she was ready to pounce and swallow him alive if he didn't stop it 

"Is it nice to see other people suffer? Is that something that really excites you?" 

"No, I'm not laughing because your boss seems to hate you. But since I remember that incident, you know how ridiculous you were at that time, right? The way you fell, the expression on your face and when you argued with that designer. It's really very funny !" Aiden smiled, there was happiness radiating from the look in his eyes when he recalled one of the most embarrassing moments in Nina's life. 

Because Aiden reminded it again of the incident that she really wanted to forget, forcing her to dig up the ruins of her self-confidence that she had accumulated since her pride was trampled when all her friends on campus laughed at her and made it a joke. 

Nina really wanted to cry at that time, not to mention the amount of debt she had to pay Aiden. Who could survive in such an unfavorable situation? Ridiculed by everyone and must be in debt with no small amount. 

"Come to think of it, since that incident we've gotten closer, haven't we?" He said. His eyes wandered far away, towards the funny and annoying memories he went through with Nina. 

"Of course it's because I started dating your deceitful friend of yours!" 

"Hahahaha...he hasn't contacted me in a long time!" 

"Didn't he apologize to you?" 

"No, it seems he's afraid to meet me. Because of him, we were trapped in that empty building all night!" 

Aiden started to drive his car when he felt that Nina was calmer than before. However, when he glanced at his girlfriend, he felt that there was something Nina didn't tell him and that made him nervous. 

"So, how was work? Wasn't anything fun that you put on such a glum face?" 

"Actually it's quite fun, because my co-workers are nice and can accept where I am. Yes, even though the crew leader is a bit annoying, but-" 

"Crew leader?" 

"Yes, he is like the director and person in charge of the program where I joined." 

"What show did you join? You haven't told me yet!" 

"Speak up with Mr. Kevin!" 

"Wow...it's great that you joined that big program, who was the good person who put you there?" 

"Claude Robinson, do you know him?" 

"Yes, I know him. We've met a few times, but to be placed in a program with the highest ratings like that, it turns out you're great too, huh?" 

"What do you mean apparently? You underestimate me, huh?" 

"Haha...no, it's not like that. I've been invited to be a guest on the show and I can tell, the crew on duty is really great and professional. They're pretty friendly too, so I thought you might enjoy being there!" 

"I hope so!" 

"Why? Did someone bother you or say something bad to you?" 

"I already told you that the director is cruel and he hates me. Never mind, don't talk about it anymore!" 

"Hahahaha...alright my dear, you must be hungry, right?" 

"That's right, I'm really hungry!" She said suddenly excited. 

"Let us go home!" 

"To your apartment? You want to order me to cook dinner, right?" 

"No! My mom invited you to have dinner together, so you can't refuse!" 

"Y-your mother? But, why wasn't Samantha invited to dinner?" 

"Because my mom knows that I won't be happy if you invite her. Therefore, you have to come!" 

Nina felt very touched, even though she had been reluctant to come to Aiden's apartment since the first meeting which was very embarrassing at that time and until now, she has not had the courage to meet her lover's mother again. 

"Don't your mom hate me?" 

"Why should my mom hate you?" 

"Of course because I already-", 

"Forget it! Things like that can happen to anyone. After all, we both love each other and it's not a mistake. So, stop blaming yourself!"

Even though she had been determined to correct her mistake at that time and act elegantly when dealing with Aiden's mother, when her feet arrived at the door, her anxiety returned. 

Her heart was pounding hard, she repeatedly inhaled and exhaled to relieve her nervousness. This feels more thrilling than facing the gloomy-faced captain who never smiles. 

"Come in!" Aideb said as he opened his apartment door and pulled Nina's hand to enter with him. 

Even though Nina had often come to Aiden's apartment, for some reason the atmosphere was different this time. There was a strange warmth that she felt the first time her feet stepped on the floor. The warmth of a mother, the love that she had not felt for a long time. Even she forgot what it was like to have a mother. 

"Welcome?" The friendly greeting immediately greeted her with a gentle smile that made Nina's eyes widen. 

Mrs.Emila who was still wearing an apron, immediately approached her when she knew that Aiden had come home. Seeing that sweet smile made Nina's eyes barely blink, warmth filled her soul, making all her fears and worries vanish. 

"I've brought the girl you want!" 

"Just got home from work? I just finished cooking, let's have dinner together!" 

"B-but-" Nina who felt embarrassed immediately looked at Aiden who was standing beside her. 

Aiden smiled gently and held Nina's hand tightly to assure her that she was accepted into this family. 

On the dining table, served delicious food that Mrs. Emila cooked alone, so she asked Aiden to take her to the supermarket to buy groceries. 

Nina was very impressed to see the fine dining class of a fine dining restaurant served in such a special way. She felt ashamed of herself for making Aiden  eat those cheap instant noodles. 

"Why are you silent? Let's eat! I made all of this!" 

"Ah...y-yes!" Nina started holding her spoon and fork, tasting the salmon sticks that were on the plate. 

When the first bite entered her mouth, her eyes immediately opened wide because of the delicious taste that filled her mouth. Yes, it tastes a little different from restaurant food, but it's even more delicious because it's made with love. 

"Very delicious, really delicious." She said honestly from the bottom of her heart. 

"Delicious, huh? Thank you, let's eat together!" 

"Enjoy your meal!"
