Chapter 107

As the captain had ordered, Nina had come earlier than yesterday because she had to join in on cleaning duty. She arrived at the office at 7.45 or 15 minutes earlier. 

For some reason, yesterday's cycle happened again today when she just walked in from the door and walked around the reception area. Behind her, the main director and his loyal aide or secretary walked with him. 

This time, she tried to be more alert, when this tense atmosphere began to be felt. Quickly, Nina looked back and avoided the path that the big boss who was known to be cold and arrogant would take. 

She stood with her feet together and bowed her head in respect, though she still didn't have the confidence to say a direct greeting. 

When the man and his aide passed right in front of her, she stopped walking and looked at Nina who was standing like a strange mannequin in the middle of the road. 

"What are you doing there?" Asked the man sarcastically while narrowing his eyes and making him look colder. 

"G-good morning, Sir? I'm standing here to greet you!" She answered who felt nervous. Spontaneously, her answer made the people in that place speechless and looked at her in shock, as if they couldn't believe what he had just said. 

"W-what's she talking about?" Muttered a woman standing two meters behind het. 

"You bastard, you must be looking for attention! Shame on you!" Said another one. Nina was shocked, she had absolutely no intention of seeking attention, she even hoped that he would not need the man's attention. What she wants is just a three-month internship in peace without intrigue and conflict. 

"It seems I've misspoke!" She thought. Feeling uncomfortable with this awkward situation, Nina could only lower her face so she didn't have to look at the unfriendly face that the man was showing. 

However, instead of walking away quietly, the man approached Nina and stood right in front of her. If you look closely, it looks like this guy is slightly shorter than Aiden. Maybe around 185 cm. 

"Why is he even closer? Ouch...so bad, what else did I do wrong?" Her mind panicked. Nina really doesn't understand where she went wrong. 

"You were the one who made a fuss at the fashion show that time, right?" Asked the man. Suddenly, the question made people surprised and tried to pay attention to Nins's face. 

Nina who felt shocked because she was still remembered by this man, was speechless. Her mouth gaped wide, her heart seemed to jump out of her body. 

"H-how could he know?" She wondered. However, it's actually normal for people at the TV station to remember her stupid face because the incident at that time must have appeared on various TV stations. However, if the main director still remembers her face, it means that what happened to him at that time was very, very embarrassing. 

"T-that-" she couldn't say anything, besides what should she say if she's been caught red-handed like this other than resign herself to accepting the situation. 

"Why is a clumsy person like you welcome here?" 

"T-that-"

"Oi, what are you doing here?" Asked Gavin who saw the new kid was not where he should be. 

"Captain?" 

"She's your member, Gavin?" He asked. 

"Yeah, do you want to keep her here or let er come with me? She has a lot of work to do!" 

"Is that so? All right, you can take hervwith you!" 

Nina felt relieved because finally she could escape the questions that cornered her like that. Even if she had to work hard this morning, at least it was better than facing an intimidating boss like Victor. 

Gavin started to walk away and Nina immediately followed him from behind. Strangely, no one dared to cross paths with Gavin as if he was a very scary person. 

"Gavin, wait!" Said Victor. Gavin and Nina stopped walking and looked back. 

"What?" 

"Make sure she doesn't make the same mistake she did at the fashion show. I'll leave her to you!" He said as he walked away. Gavin glanced at Nina with those scary sharp and tired eyes of her. 

That flat face without a smile made Nina confused about what was on this man's mind. But at least Gavin saved her from Victor's cynicism. 

Seeing Gavin staring at her sharply, Nina immediately looked down in fear. The look in his eyes seemed to say clearly that he could not do anything wrong.

Nina sat down and took a break, after being busy helping Depney and Colin conceptualize tomorrow's event. Today they can go home earlier than yesterday because their program schedule is only aired three times a week. 

"You were so helpful today, you did great!" Said Depney while taking a place beside her and embraced her intimately. 

"I only helped a little!" 

"No, you were a great help. Because of you, we were able to finish it faster!" 

Two meters in front of Nins and Depney, Gavin entered the room with Isabella, a beautiful brown-haired woman who was often seen with him. Unlike the others, Isabella seemed quite comfortable around Gavin, who almost never smiled. 

"I don't know her name yet!" 

"Who? Bella?" 

"Bella?" 

"You're asking about the woman who was with Gavin, right? Her name is Isabella, you haven't met her yet?" 

"No, it seems like she's always busy. So, I don't feel comfortable talking to her." 

"No need to be shy, Isabella is a good girl. She's also young. Maybe one or two years older than you. But her skills can't be underestimated. In a way, she's like Gavin's assistant who often helps out with his work!" 

"Is that so?"

"Even though Gavin has a hard time trusting other people to help with his work, but with Bella it looks like she can. It's weird, isn't it? As if they have a special relationship!" 

"What if they do have a special relationship?" 

"No!" 

"Why not?" 

"I know how Gavin is. He doesn't have time for love!" 

"M-meaning?" 

"Who is a woman who can stand a man who is crazy about cleanliness, rude and unapproachable like him? Hahahaha...seems like Gavin is quite self-aware too!" 

Nina didn't know what she meant, even though he was unfriendly and looked gloomy. But if you look around, he's cool too. Although his body is not as tall and muscular as Leo, but the captain has a charm that makes him look very mysterious. 

After talking with Gavin, Bella approached Nina and Depney who were sitting in the empty audience seats because they didn't have filming today. 

"Hey, Nina?" With a sweet smile, Bella greeted her kindly. 

"Oh...hi?" 

"I'm Isabella Laurent. Just call me Bella. We haven't had a chance to get acquainted, have we?" 

"Yes, that's right!" 

"I'm sitting too, huh?" 

"Oh please!" 

"Today's work is done too. Looks like we can go home early!" She said with a sigh. 

"I hope so, I feel like I'm going to sleep early tonight!" Depney said. 

"Sleep early? Didn't anyone ask you out?" 

"Hahahaha...a woman like me who would ask out on a date? It's been more than 30 years, she's not pretty and she can't dress up. No boys are interested!" 

"Don't say that, just because you haven't found it, doesn't mean you won't, right?" She said. Her eyes focused on the figure of a flat-faced man standing with his paper beater and busy directing the cameraman. 

Bella smiled gently and that smile showed that there was a special feeling she felt for that figure.
