Chapter 54

Chloe came into this room after finishing her business in the toilet. A scene full of drama flashed before her eyes. Like a love triangle story, no, but a quadrilateral. Aiden and Nina who chatted and joked happily as if no one noticed their closeness, while Samantha and Emily looked cynical like lionesses who were blindly jealous. 

"Hohoho...just getting more interesting," she thought. Her heart laughed at this dramatic scene before her eyes. 

Aiden who showed his sweet smile at the figure of a woman who was standing right in front of him, made Samantha and Emily annoyed. They have a new rival, that's what they think. 

"Aiden, what's wrong?" Asked Samantha who immediately approached so that this intimacy would not continue. 

"It's nothing, my tie wasn't neat, so-" 

"Let me tidy up!" Samantha immediately took over Nina's position who was forced to step aside. 

"Why didn't you tell me?" She said while tidying Aiden's tie which was already neat. 

"Sorry, just-" 

"Aiden, now it's our turn!" Emily shouted who was already standing behind Aiden. Like Samantha, Emily doesn't want to lose to these two women. 

"Oh...yes, alright!" He said. Emily immediately embraced Aiden's hand and led him towards the camera. 

Nina confused by this situation. Even though at first she didn't want to guess, she saw what had just happened and how Emily and Samantha were looking at her. It was clear that they were trying to send war signals to her. 

In front of the photographer's camera, Aiden and Emily started posing as a couple. As before, Emily was acting aggressively, she changed poses according to her own will. Without waiting for directions from the photographer or at least asking for Aiden's approval as his partner. 

Her attitude made Aiden feel uncomfortable, it was weird, really weird. Even though he had known Emily since high school, he felt it was awkward to make physical contact with her. As if there is a sense of trauma that makes him not want to touch and such. 

Five meters in front of Aiden and Emily who were busy acting in front of the camera. Nina and Samantha stood side by side looking at the couple with different thoughts and feelings. 

Nina looked at Aiden with admiration. Aiden is very handsome, dashing, visually appealing and he is also a very nice guy. Seeing him working like this made Nina both happy and proud of him. 

Meanwhile Samantha looked at Aiden working in front of her eyes with personal ambition. She who is crazy about many great men, falls in love with a man who is seven years younger than her. But that's not the case, the man she wants is also wanted by another woman and that makes Samantha feel challenged. 

"Nina!" 

"Y-yes?" Nina was nervous, it was clear that Samantha didn't like her presence here. 

"So, you and Aiden are really lovers?" Asked Samantha who immediately asked the point. Nina swallowed hard, somehow it was difficult to lie to a dominant figure like Samantha. The look in her eyes alone was so intimidating, making her unable to think of the right answer. 

"How should I say it, I-" 

"Is that a difficult question? You just have to answer yes or no!" 

"No, we have nothing to do with it!" 

"Is that true?" 

"Yeah, me and Aiden are just friends, nothing more!" 

"Is that so? You love him?" 

"W-what?" 

"I asked, do you love him?" 

"I-Idon't, I don't have any feelings for him-" 

"Why are you so hesitant? If you weren't, you would have said it easily. But, even if you do love him, there's nothing wrong, right?" 

"That's not possible!" 

"Impossible?" 

"Yeah, I'm not going to love him. Don't worry, I know what you're thinking anyway. I have absolutely no intention of becoming a rival for your love." 

"Is that so? That's great then, but be careful with what you say. Don't get yourself covered in spit. After all, he has already shown that he's interested in me, that means I have a much better chance of winning his love." 

"Why?" 

"Why what?" 

"I think you are very beautiful, elegant and classy too. Why do you bother to pursue the love of a man and compete with other women?" 

"You're right, that's why I feel like there's something different about me. There have been some great men who have proposed to me, heirs of rich families, descendants of royalty and wealthy businessmen from America. But, they don't interest me at all. Nothing like Aiden makes me really want it." 

"An heir to a rich, aristocratic and successful businessman family? She must be crazy. If I were her, I would definitely prefer one of them. It doesn't matter even if they look normal as long as they are rich, that's more than enough for me. You idiot !" Nina thought. She simply couldn't fathom the mindset of someone who would be willing to give up such obvious conveniences and pleasures to pursue something so uncertain. 

"I heard that a few months ago, Aiden was approached by a married woman, the wife of a very rich Russian diamond mining businessman. The woman was so crazy about him that she even asked the fashion elite to plan a romantic vacation with Aiden in the Caribbean." 

"Really?" 

"You do not know the news?" 

"No!" 

"I also just found out from my brother who has been working with him for a long time. Therefore, when I met him in person, I understood why many women are so crazy about him. His eyes seemed to have the power to paralyze the hearts of those who looked at him." 

"His eyes are indeed very beautiful, blue and amber, a very charming combination. Come to think of it, last night I got like that because I looked into his eyes," Nina thought. She felt ashamed of herself, because indirectly, she also couldn't hold back when she looked into Aiden's eyes from that close distance. 

"But if I were you, I would choose a rich man who is crazy about me over chasing a man who many women are fighting over."

"Of course, rich men are more important to me. I don't need handsome men!" 

"What if that handsome man is also rich?" 

"How rich? If he is just a model, the amount of wealth must be limited. But if he is a businessman, surely his wealth will not run out to seven generations." 

"Aiden is still young, he's only 26 years old. I heard he was the best graduate in his college, graduated with a master's degree in aerospace engineering at the age of 22. He still has many great opportunities in his life. The woman who will accompany him to start a business until it is successful, will definitely feel very proud.
