Chapter 113: Contract

*There are some clauses that I’m putting in the contract. Trust me, you will thank me. – Joshua*

Athos was still living at the Shack when Evie was sick in June. He stopped by a few times, but he never saw the horrible patient that Law had described. His brother and Ink were so worried about her that they didn’t care how she acted. As long as she got better.

Even now, as she was laid up at the house with her arm in a sling, he didn’t see the bad patient.

Where as Nessie was a self-proclaimed house cat, Evie was more of a bored, one armed tigress. Every afternoon, after Ink left and before Tank got home, Athos would take Evie for a walk through the grove.

They both had to leave their phones at the house. Tank had called the first day and demanded that Athos take Evie back to the house.

It didn’t matter that they were on private property. Or that, under Werewolf’s orders, Athos carried a side arm. Or even that she did not need her arm to walk.

Her men had nearly lost the love of their lives and the babies they had just learned about. Neither Tank nor Ink were taking any chances.

Which is why Athos was now officially assigned as a private guard. He and Evie both thought it was ridiculous, and had plenty of little laughs.

After their walks, they usually binged a show on Netflix until it was time to start dinner. Evie would sit at the bar and watch Athos cook, offering advice from time to time. He was a good student and enjoyed cooking.

Evie was getting their show pulled up while Athos got their snack together. Today it was popcorn and root beer. Evie wanted a soda, but caffeine was now a no-no. Even the coffee in the house was now decaf.

Athos sat the big bowl on the couch between them before handing her the small bottle.

“The lid is already loose.” he told her.

“Thank you. Did we finish episode four?”

“I don’t think so. Let’s start there anyway.”

Evie started the show and they were quickly captivated by the sci-fi show. As they watched the main characters arguing over something mundane, Athos grabbed the remote and paused the show.

“I agree, she’s wrong.” Evie said grabbing more popcorn.

“No. I just thought of this. I never see you guys argue.”

Evie grinned. “We do. Just not the way you think.”

“What? They beat you until you agree with them?”

Laughing, she almost choked on a piece of popcorn. “No. It’s in our contract?”

“OK, Sheldon.” He grinned.

“It’s a Dom/sub contract. I guess actually a Dom/Dom/sub contract.”

“Is that common?”

“Very. It lays out everyone’s responsibilities and roles. I am responsible for keeping the house, making sure meals are ready and,” she smiled, “other things.”

“I don’t need to know the other things.” He used air quotes to emphasize his words. “I hear enough of the other things. By the way, I think buying condoms is a moot point now.”

“Anal.” She explained and he nearly spit his drink out.

“God bless. A little warning next time.”

“That’s what I said after the first time!”

Shaking his head, he playfully tossed some popcorn at her. “Let’s move away from your ass. It is only your ass, right?”

“Yes, just mine.” She laughed. "Neither of them are bi."

“Right. So, contract for your arguing.”

“You met Joshua, right?” he nodded and she smiled. “He’s Israel’s best friend and my godfather. When we went to the club to do our contract, Joshua oversaw it. There’s no legal binding to it, just in case you're wondering. Part of it requires we list out what we want, what we will not do and what we will compromise on.”

“Like, everything?”

“Mainly sex.”

“Oh hell.” He muttered laying his head on the back of the couch and looked at the ceiling.

“There are some things that I’m horrible about. Outside of my classroom, I am very submissive and don’t want to cause problems, I don’t like conflict. So, I will frequently not say anything about what’s bothering me until it reaches a boiling point.”

“At that point, I blow up and I am not nice. Anything that has ever bothered me, even if it’s not what set me off, will come out. Everything. Joshua knows this. He added clauses into the contract.”

“Once a week, we have a snuggle session and I have to tell them everything that is bothering me. Ink is better at making sure his clothes make it into the hamper. Tank is better at locking up his gun. All three of you are getting better at leaving your boots in the mud room.”

“You complain about me? Perfect, angelic me?” Athos asked in mock surprise.

Evie rolled her eyes at him. “Perfect, angelic, my ass.”

“We already discussed your ass.” He pointed out with a grin.

“You’re right. And it is perfect. Ask your brother.”

He gagged. “Nope. No, thank you. Hell, no.” Athos grinned at her. "In fact, fuck that shit to the hell no."

She laughed at him. “Any other questions?”

“Yes. But I think I need a beer for that, and I’m designated driver tonight.”

“Because your under age?”

“Yup. But since Celt got married, Chance needed a new wingman.”

Evie laughed. “I got the description of Chance as would fuck anyone who was willing with a pussy and a pulse.”

Athos chuckled. “At least one of those.”

"Is Chance bi?" She asked confused. The club's man whore had never given her the impression of being bi.

"Oh, hell no. He's straight as an arrow. And that arrow is on the pussy compass. If there's available pussy anywhere in a five mile radius, it's on his radar."

"Bleep. Bleep. Bleep." Evie said in a high pitch voice.

They both busted out laughing as he started their show again.
