Chapter 115: New School Year
*Ya’ll did a great job with my room. I’m just going to sit here and cry for a while. – Evie*
The following day, her men, brother, Athos, Camille and Priscilla helped her to finish setting up her room. The walls had been finished and her checkerboard pattern was on the floor and sealed. They had even covered the desks and assembled the chairs.
The white shelving units were painted with the chalkboard paint and the shelves covered by the contact paper. Her men had bought her a new chair and custom desk made by Sticks.
They arranged her desks while Camille and Priscilla organized her shelves. Evie had gotten pretty good at typing with one hand and worked on the computer as her room buzzed with activity. Joey, with IT, set up her projector and smart board.
One of the last things to be installed were yards and yards of fairy lights. Pink and white fairy lights were strung along the edge of the ceiling. Fairy lights with clips for pictures were tacked just under the chair railing.
Around two thirty, the superintendent stopped by to check on her. Martin stepped into the room and looked around. The middle-aged man with soft blue eyes and dark brown hair was impressed. A smile graced his face behind the trimmed beard. He wore khakis and a black polo with the district logo on the chest.
“I have to admit, when you described it, I was thinking it would be a lot darker.” Martin said looking over the classroom.
“It’s the fairy lights.” Evie said smiling as she turned to face him. “I think you know my men. Have you met my brother, Law?”
“I’ve seen you around the club.” He said offering a hand to Law. “Martin Aguilera, superintendent.”
“Law. I enjoy the scenes if my sister is not involved.” He admitted accepting the older man’s hand.
“Don’t blame you.” He chuckled and offered his hand to Athos. “You look familiar, also.”
“Graduated in spring. I was on the wrestling team.” Athos shook his hand.
“Oh, yes, Marc Humphreys. You’re going to state, right?”
“Yes, sir.” He answered as Priscilla walked back in with a McDonald’s bag smelling of fries.
“I love you.” Evie said taking the bag.
“You know she’s talking to the fries?” Ink asked as he folded up the ladder.
“No, she’s talking to me.” Priscilla corrected.
“Baby Ink is talking to the fries. Baby Tank is talking to the cookies.” Camille added as she drew on the wall with chalk.
Evie moaned as she bit into a cookie and they all turned to look at her.
“Don’t blame me. Those two put these babies in me.” She said around the cookie. “I’m such a good sub, I’m even a servant to my unborn babies and my cat.”
“My brother is a slave to your cat.” Athos muttered.
“Damn straight.” Tank agreed.
“Wait until you find one to worship.” Ink advised.
“Allow me to make a suggestion for when you have kids.” Priscilla said gathering up her stuff. “Sound proof walls, ball gags or both. By the way, Yvonne is pregnant.”
“Please never say ball gag ever again.” Athos pleaded.
“Tell Leo thanks for me.” Evie told her as she headed out the door. “And Priss? Ball gags kill the jaw.”
Priscilla laughed as she went down the hall. Tank and Ink laughed as Athos gagged. Martin tried to hide his grin and Law kissed his sister on top of her head. Camille shook her head but made a mental note for future reference.
“Welcome to my life. And I have four more sisters.” Law tugged on her hair gently. “Now that your man child has graduated-"
“Stuff it.” Evie warned.
Smiling, he grabbed the ladder. “Call mom. I’m going to go pick a fight with Sam.”
“Have fun, bubs.” She said knowing he hated being called anything similar to Bubba.
