Chapter 353: Dom
*There is nothing worse than being forced to relive your own personal hell. – Dom*
Dom walked over and looked at Nico. “I’ve got her.” The assassin said quietly, and the mobster nodded.
Neither mentioned the slight shake that was in Sophia’s hand. Instead, Dom gently took the gun into her own hand. In a few minutes, Trigg would call and confirm that Pagan’s sister and daughters were at the other clubhouse. Once it was known that they were safe, Dom would use the same gun and shoot the Aranya president in the head.
But until then, she would simply hold the gun for the other woman.
Nico pulled out his own revolver and aimed it at Paul. “I don’t trust you. I can’t have people in my family that I don’t trust.”
With practiced precision, he shot the other man and his two brothers. He then ordered all the mobsters out of the building. With a final nod to Pagan, he prepared to leave.
“Take care of her. If you ever need us, you are family.”
Pagan gave him a chin lift as he moved towards Shiloh. Dom put her hand out and stopped him from touching the woman that he loved.
“Wait.” She whispered as the last few Italians moved out of the building. When the last ones, Nico and his personal guards, were outside, Dom ordered that the doors be locked. Then she moved to stand in front of Shiloh.
“Sophia.” Dom said very quietly. Almost too quiet to be heard. “Shiloh.”
“D?” Shiloh asked with a voice that sounded anguished.
“I’m here. Focus on me.” The brown eyes cleared as they looked at the pale gray ones in front of her. It took a moment for them to focus but Dom knew that Shiloh was not back with them yet. “Right here. Look at me, pretty girl.”
Shiloh took in a deep shaky breath as the first tear slipped out of her eye and down her cheek.
“I’m cold, D.” Shiloh whispered.
“We’re going to get you warm.” Dom assured her.
“Fucking bitch is nothing but a damned pussy.” The Aranya president sneered.
“Toad, let me know when the girls are over there.”
“Yup.” He said as prospects and brothers began to roll the dead onto plastic tarps.
This was something that they could take care of. The prospects might not know how this was going to end up, but they could follow the orders that they were given. A pile was made of the clothes that were cut off the bodies. Once everything was gathered, the clothes would be taken to a location not associated with the club and burned.
All jewelry was removed and gathered up to be given to Nico. After all, his people had been a part of his family. They had sworn allegiance to his predecessor. They had all received a promise of protection. Both had been broken.
Anything that the Aranya were wearing would also be given to Nico. They would be trophies. Reminders of what happened when you crossed the mafia.
As the clippers were brought out to shave the bodies, Toad’s phone rang. After a moment, he hung up.
“They’re at Pop’s.” Toad said to the room at large.
Dom raised the gun and shot the other president before shooting the other Aranya also. Both were shot in the head and the bodies were quickly moved onto the tarps and stripped. Dom handed over the gun like it was an offensive object. Werewolf took it and placed it on the bar. When she was done with pulling Shiloh out of her own hell, Dom would use acid to destroy any identifying marks.
As teeth were removed and bodies shaved, Dom turned her attention back to the only other woman in the building.
“Okay, pretty girl, tell me your name.” Dom said when Shiloh finally focused on her old friend.
“Shiloh Montgomery.” She whispered.
“Shiloh Goode.” Pagan softly corrected and Dom watched as Shiloh relaxed and smiled.
“Shiloh Goode.” She said as she leaned back into her husband’s chest.
“That’s right, baby.” He said, wrapping his arms around her. “Mrs. Shiloh Goode.”
“Where are the girls?” Shiloh asked with fear in her voice.
“They’re safe.” Dom assured her. “Go, take a quick shower, and go get them. Take them home. I’ll be by later.”
Shiloh started to object to taking a shower. “I just want to go to them.”
“You’re both covered in blood. And you’re wearing Sophia’s clothes.” Dom pointed out. “Go become you again.”
“Okay.” Shiloh quietly agreed and started to look around.
“Don’t.” Dom commanded. “Close your eyes and let Pagan take you out of here.”
Just like when she was younger, she trusted the older woman and closed her eyes. Pagan turned her and guided her face into his chest. Then he carefully walked them out of the room. Dom checked on the bodies before grabbing the gun and going to play with the acid that she kept out back.
The small vat of acid was tucked in among the barrels of oil and grease that were generated by Nessie’s Kitchen. The private restaurant operated within the clubhouse and Nessie seemed to understand that there were some things that she did not need to know about. Then again, she knew more than what anyone living at the Shack ever told her.
Living.
Nessie had a tendency to talk to the dead and give unsolicited advice. But the Scottish beauty was a large part of the club. She had married Knuckles and was the niece of the president of the Shack. As Dom was behind the building, she found a note from Nessie.
*Dom – She needs space, but don’t leave her alone. And don’t give me too many more ghosts.*
There was no way that Dom would leave her alone. She remembered the hell that Shiloh had gone through when she had been rescued. She had still gone by the name her mother had given her. Sophia Elizabeth.
And Dom had answered when Sophia had called from her grandfather’s house. Her next stepdad at the time had been to the house where she had been held. She had been paraded down with the other girls. He was not there to rescue her. He was there to buy. After her mother’s wedding, the first time that Shiloh had met him, fifteen-year-old Shiloh ordered the death of her mother’s third husband.
And now, she had killed the fifth and her mother also. There was no love lost between the two. And if anything, it was probably the best thing that Shiloh could have done for herself.
After dropping the gun into the acid, Dom resealed the barrel and headed back inside. They would need help to get so many bodies to the pig farm. She sure hoped those pigs were hungry.
