Chapter 76: Not For Her
*Dad, you need to come and meet her men. Bring Roscoe. They need your blessing so she can move on. – Law*
Tank and Ink had been kind with the man who looked like Cade in Evie’s pictures. They had allowed the older man to walk around with their woman. But the instant she got on the back of the other man’s bike, they both lost it.
Cookie, Law, Riffraff and the musketeers were holding them back. Porthos let go of Ink and ran inside. A few minutes later, Trevor ducked out of the door. Clamping down on both of their shoulders, he yanked them back slightly.
The Renegades had their hands on the now exposed side arms. Toad stood between the two groups trying to regain control.
“Stand down, Renegades.” Roscoe said stepping up beside Toad. “What the hell is your problem?”
“That’s our woman your man just took off with.” Ink spat out.
Tank was silent and the Saints knew that he was on the verge of losing his shit.
“You don’t want her being with anyone else, put a patch on her. You don’t want her to be a sub to anyone else, put a collar on her.” Roscoe advised. “But don’t you ever tell that little girl she can’t get on her dad’s bike.”
Both men relaxed under Trevor’s hands. The other Saints backed off but kept an eye on Tank.
“Now, that we have that out of the way. I’m Roscoe, Cade’s dad. This is Reed, Hayden and Boone, my sons. Nathaniel and Colt, Renegades.” Roscoe introduced his men. “I know Law. You must be our girl’s men, Ink and Tank.”
“Yes, sir.” Ink said and Tank grunted. “How long are they going to be gone?”
“As long as they need.” Reed said.
Ink nodded at this but heard Evie’s ringtone on Tank’s phone. Pulling it out of his back pocket, he walked away from the group.
“That her?” Toad asked with a chin lift towards the man with his back to them. Without looking, Ink confirmed it. “Can she bring him back? Over the phone?”
“Yeah. She’ll pull him back.” Ink said.
“Pull him back?” Reed asked concerned.
“Yeah.” Ink said glaring at the Renegades. “Not my story to tell. But obviously she knew that he would need to hear from her.”
Tank returned to the group, visibly more relaxed. He met Ink’s eyes and let him know that he was good. Ink nodded as the other Saints relaxed.
“Why are your brothers worried about how you were acting?” Colt demanded.
Tank looked at the man with a cold stare. The pulse in his jaw ticking. “Don’t think that’s any of your business.”
“You boys don’t get it.” Reed interjected. “We’re not here for her. We’re here for you.”
