Chapter 347: Church
*I won’t even tell Toad. I’ll just tell him that we got the marriage license. – Pagan*
Pagan and Shiloh walked into the Shack holding hands just like they always did on Church nights. Ashlyn ran towards Priscilla to show the teen the new outfit. Alyssa headed for Athos to try to con him into a ride. Pagan was never sure if she was going to try for a ride on the bike, or a horse.
Nessie looked at the couple as they came through the door from her usual table between the pool tables and the couches. She grinned at them, and Pagan headed towards her having learned not to avoid her. Nessie *always* knew way more than she should and said that the ghosts talked to her.
Pagan had seen the poltergeist activity. Heard her say things about people that very few knew.
“It looks good on yeh.” Nessie grinned at Shiloh.
“What?” she asked quietly.
“A new last name.”
They both were quiet as they stared at her.
“Yeh’ll not hear it from me. It’s not me place. We can put it together as quick as yeh want.”
“First Saturday in March?” Pagan asked and Nessie nodded.
“Aye. We’ll talk later, you and I.” Nessie told Pagan as she eyed Shiloh up and down and then grabbed her tablet. She opened a folder and handed it over to the bride. “I’ve been waiting for yeh two to decide on this. I want to do a black wedding so bad.”
Scrolling through the pictures, Shiloh stopped on a picture of a black four tier cake with a waterfall of red poppies going down one side. Nessie grinned when she saw which one her newest bride was looking at.
“That’s one of me favorites.”
“It’s beautiful.”
“*Bellissimo*.” Pagan grinned as he wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder.
She laughed as she turned her head and kissed his cheek. “*Sì bellissimo.*”
“Taking up a new language?” Dom asked as stepped up next to the table.
“Maybe.” Pagan admitted.
“Joe called me.” Dom told Shiloh who nodded. “When will the meeting be?”
“Next week.” Shiloh said. “Do you know the significance of the poppies?”
“They are the first flowers to grow back in a battlefield.” Dom said as her army days flooded her memories. “Flanders field.”
“Yes.” Shiloh agreed. “Rebirth. New life.”
Dom smiled at the younger woman. “A new beginning.”
“Very much so.” Shiloh agreed.
“Then that’s definitely the one we need.” Pagan agreed. “You got a flavor picked out yet?”
Nessie grinned. “I was thinking a black velvet with a Meletti Cioccolato chocolate liqueur ganache and strawberry compote.”
“*Divino*.” Shiloh purred. “Devine.”
“*Divino*.” Pagan repeated. “I could learn Italian.”
“You certainly could, *amati*, beloved.” Shiloh agreed.
“Me *amati*, right?”
Shiloh laughed as she shook her head. “I would be *amate* because I’m female. You are *amati* because you are male. But if you are trying to say my beloved, which is what I think you were trying to say.”
“Yes.” Pagan confirmed.
“*Mio amato*.”
“*Mio amato*.” Pagan shook his head. “I feel like I’m calling you a tomato.”
“*Il mio pomodoro.*” Shiloh laughed.
“What the hell was that?” he asked.
“My tomato.” Dom laughed.
“Yeah, no.” Pagan shook his head as everyone started moving to the chapel. He moved to kiss Shiloh before he followed the other brothers.
Priscilla fell in step next to him as they went down the hall. “I hear you went and got some paperwork at the courthouse yesterday.”
“And this is why I should never tell my girls anything.” He grinned.
She simply laughed. “Telephone. Telegram. Telegraph. Tell a Saint.”
“Truth.” Pagan laughed as he walked into the chapel, and she took her post with the other prospect on duty tonight.
Toad was one of the last Saints through the door and closed the door behind him. “Pagan.” Toad growled as he moved towards his chair. “What the fuck were you doing at the courthouse this week?” he sat in his chair. “Your ex giving you shit again?”
“No, sir. Had to get some paperwork for me and Shiloh to go talk to Trigg.”
“You got a date?” the president asked.
“First Saturday in March.” Pagan admitted.
“That’s quick.”
“That’s what my woman wants.”
“Talk to Ness.”
Pagan laughed at his president. “Your niece has been planning a black wedding for quite a while.”
“You know Trigg is going to want to know about the cake.” Werewolf laughed.
“They’re figuring it out now. I believe there was something said about black velvet with a chocolate alcoholic of some sort ganache and strawberry something.”
Knuckles chuckled. “You mean a black velvet with a Meletti Cioccolato chocolate liqueur ganache and strawberry compote.”
“Yeah, that.”
“It’s damned good. She’s also been practicing with a cannoli recipe.”
“Damn, your life must suck.” Cookie declared.
“Mine? Horrible. How are your women?” Knuckles grinned at the large dark man.
It was common knowledge that he and Karan had moved out of their carriage house and into the apartment above the bookstore. The reason it was common knowledge was because more than one of the single brothers had spent the night over there.
Sometimes with Karan. Sometimes with Cookie and Karan. Sometimes with Gertie. And if rumors were to be believed, sometimes with all three.
Cookie grinned broadly.
“My Gertie is going to be off limits for a while.”
One of the younger brothers who had a huge crush on Gertie groaned. “For how long?”
“About nine months.”
The room was silent as it sunk in what he was saying. Then it erupted in congratulations as those around him slapped him on the back and shook his hand.
“Okay, okay,” Toad said getting control back of his meeting. “We have a few things that we need to get through.”
The room settled down and they started going through the business before them. About thirty minutes later, the door was forced open, and Shiloh walked in. As she walked through the door, she lowered the gun that had been aimed at the male prospect standing outside. Priscilla swallowed hard as the other woman passed her and looked at her dad to mouth that she was fine.
Shiloh stopped in front of Cookie. “Do you love her?”
“Shiloh.” Pagan said gently.
“She’s fine.” Dom declared. “Answer the question, Cookie.”
“Yes, I love both my women.” Cookie answered.
Shiloh smiled at him. “Good. She loves you both. I see it when she looks at you and talks about you.”
She leaned down and kissed both his cheeks before she cupped them and pressed her lips lightly to his. Leaving her hands where they were, Shiloh straightened and smiled at him.
“*Sei il cuore del mio amico. Quindi sei il mio intoccabile*.” She then turned and looked at Dom who nodded in acknowledgement.
“He is your friend’s heart. That makes him your untouchable.” Dom said with a slight smile. “*La tua famiglia?*”
Shiloh smiled back at the other woman as she made a motion to encompass the room. “*Questa è la mia famiglia. La mia scelta. I miei intoccabili*.”
Dom nodded again. “Your family. Your choice. We are your untouchables. I’ll let it be known.”
Shiloh nodded and walked back out of the room without another word said.
“Pagan, you need to tell her how things are done.” Toad warned.
“Sure thing.” Pagan grinned as Dom and Werewolf chuckled.
“You don’t ‘tell’ her what to do.” Werewolf corrected.
“She tells you.” Dom agreed.
