Chapter 87: Shared
*There’s nothing better than being between the men you love. – Dixie*
Tank and Ink both thought about the first time that they had shared a sub. It was a hell of a time and they understood why the other two men were drawn to it.
“Daniel was home for a month right after Evie turned eighteen. He knew her. Knew us. And we knew that he would take care of her and teach her right. He would show her that she might submit, but she was still be herself.” Dixie said. “Well, I knew. They weren’t so sure.”
“But when she came home, she was what he wanted. He admitted that he tried not to. But Cade was also drawn to her.” She explained and they thought that her husbands were hearing this for the first time. “After the first night, they were done for. She came to me confused, she wanted them both and they were okay with it. I told her to give herself some time to think about it.”
Israel smiled his understanding. “She stayed out of the club for a while. They never once looked at another woman. And then six weeks later, they collared her. Then at spring break they went to Mexico.”
“Joy was livid. They had his perfect bride living in their house and he went and got married to a Tomlinson and another man.” Dixie laughed. “The girl was younger than Evie and ended up marrying his nephew. And having her father-in-laws baby.”
“Well, do you blame the girl?” Israel asked getting more bottled drinks from the outside refrigerator. “The man only feels like himself inside Rose’s.”
“Rose’s?” Tank and Ink both asked.
“It’s one of our speakeasy style bars at the back of a bookstore.” Isiah explained. “The bookstore is a legitimate business and does well on its own. But Rose’s was our first speakeasy and it somehow morphed into an underground gay bar. We don’t advertise and it’s a private club. It’s Austin. You get people from all over and they want to let their hair down. We provide that place.”
“Before my brother tries to sign you up for a membership to one of the clubs.” Israel said redirecting the conversation. “Joy didn’t like Evie just because she was a Tomlinson. Every bar, club or store that we open, she is there leading a protest against it.”
“The woman protested at every Harry Potter and Hunger Games movie and book release, if that gives you a clue as to what kind of bitch she is.” Dixie said.
“Dix.” All three warned.
“No. She damned near killed my baby. She can go fuck herself. Might make her feel better.”
Isiah shifted and she quickly moved into his lap. He wrapped her up in his arms and kissed her hair before resting his chin on her head.
Grinning, Isiah suggested, “Only position they probably know is missionary because…"
"Sticks in the ass prevent other positions." She finished.
Dixie giggled and the other men chuckled.
“She needs a prayer bench.” Tank suggested.
“I think we need a prayer bench.” Ink corrected.
“We have a spanking bench downstairs.” Israel offered.
“Similar.” Ink smiled. “It’s not quite as adjustable as a spanking bench, and it has a post to secure the hands.” He brought his hands together as if in prayer. “Looks like she’s praying.”
“Nice.” Israel said looking at his wife.
“Later.” She promised.
“What exactly did the crazy bitch get arrested for?” Tank asked.
“Evie had to get an order of protection against her.” Isiah said. “Joy was stalking her. Calling her daily. Telling other teachers that she killed Daniel. Even took out a full-page ad in one of the newspapers.”
They all noticed the look that the younger men exchanged. Tank nodded and Ink shook his head.
“What?” Isaac asked.
“She has a phone that she never answers. It stays on the charger in the bedside table. Whenever we ask about it, she dismisses it.” Ink explained.
“I don’t answer that ringtone.” Tank quoted. “But it’s the only ringtone we’ve ever heard. When we asked why she keeps it, she said it’s a reminder that she screwed up.”
Her parents shook their heads.
“She lost both her men, a good friend and a student that day.” Dixie said softly. “She feels like she failed them all. She suspected that the kid was doing drugs but had no proof.”
“She came to me the day before asking what she could do.” Isiah mused. “There was nothing that could be done. No proof. No evidence. District quit doing random drug tests.”
“The only people that hold Evie responsible are herself and Joy.” Isaac said as Dixie moved into his lap. He snuggled her close and breathed in her comfort.
“Not even the kids family.” Israel took one of Dixie’s hands in his as he spoke. She offered her other to the last brother effectively binding them together as one cohesive unit. Tank and Ink recognized the action as one that their own woman did.
“She had contacted his parents requesting a conference because she was worried about him.” Israel continued. “They credit her for trying to save his life.”
The sliding glass door opened and Evie stepped out wearing an Austin PD t-shirt. She slid into Tank’s lap and pulled Ink’s chair closer with her legs. He rested a hand on her leg as she snuggled in and went to sleep.
“I think that’s our signal to go to bed.” Ink said softly.
“We’ve got you, luv.” Tank murmured against her hair.
“Love you, too.” She softly replied as she drifted off.
He carried her up to her old room and put her back in the bed. Both men quickly stripped and joined her in the king size bed. She snuggled into Ink’s side and Tank spooned up behind her.
