Chapter 68: Here Comes the Law

*I feel happy. And that makes me feel a little sad. – Evie*

Several men were standing outside in the compound huddled against the cold morning wind. An unknown blue pickup with a short-enclosed rental trailer pulled up and stopped not far from them. There were a few comments about the clean-cut man that got out. He was in just a t-shirt, jeans and flip-flops. He walked up to the group as they chuckled at his expense.

“Looking for either Tank or Ink.” He said casually.

“Tank’s at work and Ink isn’t up yet.” Toad replied. “What do you need with them?”

“That’s who my sister said to ask for.” The man said.

“Law?” Ink asked walking up to the group.

He turned and looked at the man covered in tattoos. Or at least, covered everywhere that he could see. “Ink?”

“Please tell me that you have a penguin.” Ink yawned.

“A couple.” He smirked. “An orca, elephant seal and a rock. Also, an All-Blacks jersey.”

“That’s the nonfootball football team, right?”

“Rugby.” Law offered and as Ink nodded, yawning again. Law walked over to the pickup and got two large coffees out of the cab and then handed them to Ink. “Extra strong, black, heavy sugar. My sister is great when she has people to take care of.”

Ink downed the first coffee in one go. “She’s just great.”

“You’ve never seen her pissed off.” He warned with a little laugh. “She can be fucking scary for a little sub. If she’s mad, stay out of her way. And keep her away from guns.”

“Don’t plan on making her mad.” He motioned to the trailer with his second coffee. “They in there?”

“Yeah. Both probably need to be tuned. Neither have been ridden since before they died. I’m glad that she asked for them.” Law shook his head and then looked Ink dead in the eye. “Don’t hurt her. She lost so much that day.”

“I know she did.” Ink acknowledged, holding his gaze. “We’ve talked about everything that she lost.”

Law smiled sadly at him. “Dad and I are the only ones in the family that know.”

“I feel like I’m missing something in this conversation.” Absalom said glancing over to see Tank ride through the gate. “I thought he was working today.”

“He worked swing shift last night.” Werewolf said. “I’m guessing that they were expecting you.”

“Yes, sir. I got in last night and she told me to bring the bikes over this morning.” Law explained as he watched the other man walk up to them.

“Bring her a penguin?” Tank asked holding out his hand.

Taking the offered hand he chuckled, “Yes. Scruffles is not happy with any of them being in his spot.”

“As long as our girl is happy, the cat can get over it.” Tank grinned.

“Good answer.” Law said as he walked towards the pickup.

“Our girl sent me coffee.” Ink teased holding up his half empty cup.

“Don’t think that she plays favorites.” Law warned them, handing Tank a cup of coffee. “She doesn’t like jealousy. Black, no cream, no sugar. Second cup is in the truck.”

“No jealousy between us.” Tank said after a long drink of the coffee. “Just some friendly rivalry.”

“You’re Evie’s brother?” Chevy asked. “And you’re okay with her being with two men? Those two? Do you know what they’re into?”

Law eyed him up and down and then grinned. “You only know the school teacher side and not the sub in the dungeon side. Wait until you meet Creamy Evie.” He chuckled at the other men’s reactions. “But I have to ask, you two are pretty good sizes. How the hell do the three of you fit in her little bed? And I mean for sleep, I don’t need any details on the sex.”

Ink and Tank both chuckled. “We both have kings upstairs.” Tank explained.

“At her place, she usually sleeps on one of us and the other is spooned up against them.” Ink added and then he and Tank shared a look and Ink nodded. “What about with Daniel and Cade?”

“California king. But Daniel was a cuddler. Cade was screwed if he ever ended up between them.” He chuckled.

“Hang on. She had two men before?” Doc asked.

Law nodded his head as Tank got the second coffee. “Can you work on the bikes here? Or do we need to take them somewhere?”

“Since they’re customs, we’ll take them to the shop.” Ink said and Tank agreed. “That way we have whatever we might need. Know where you’re going? Or need to follow?”

“I better follow. I’m not used to people. Or roads. Or so little ice. Too much time with the penguins and polar bears.”
