Chapter 13.

Back at the Alpha house Emily is getting the babies ready for bed while Alison rests, I find her in the nursery gently rocking one of the girls as she hums peacefully.
“When did she get released?” I ask softly when her body whips around to look at me.
“Oh gosh you’re back, sorry I didn’t hear you come in.” She giggles. “We just got in about an hour ago, I’m just getting the babies down then I was going to make dinner.” She finishes as she sets the small sleeping bundle in to the twin crib with her sister.

“Do you want any help?” I ask while turning the lights down.
“Sure I’m just making chicken parm though.” she says as we both leave the room to go to the kitchen.
Preston is sitting at the table when we get in playing on his phone, Emily goes to the fridge to start pulling out what we need while I grab the pots and pans. We finish cooking and set the table waiting for Blair and the Alpha to come back from setting up Alison’s room for recovery.

“Hello everyone, I’m sorry to keep you waiting.” Evan says walking in to join us.
“How’s Alison settling in?” I ask softly while we all start to make our plates.
“She’s doing ok, sore which is to be expected but overall I think she’s alright,” Evan states looking down to his plate.
“Did you find out anything else about Sloan?” I ask softly watching him shift in his seat.
“I did actually, it’s true. Alison was the first daughter born to the silver family from the clear water pack. The silvers are known for being born with their wolves and having powers of a normal werewolf but heightened, they are strong and cunning which is why Sloan was able to win beta.” He says between bites as my mouth drops.

“I guess because Alison was born with no wolf her family abandoned her to cleanse the blood line.” He stops eating and my mind spins.
“If they wanted to cleanse the blood line then why are they coming after Alison’s babies?” I ask in confusion not knowing what to say.
“I’m not sure, I’m assuming because Alison is the first born her children are rightful heirs to their family’s pack, or because they are twins maybe they are expected to be stronger.” He says as we all get lost in thought and silence fills the room.

“Any idea of where her and Clayton are hiding out?” Preston pipes up and my head snaps to him, I totally forgot about Clayton.
“Not yet, no one has seen them. I have scouts searching the forests around the pack so hopefully we find them soon.” He finishes.
“Valerie turned me in to a fish today.” Preston blurts making Emily choke on her food and my mouth drops.
“I didn’t turn him in to a fish!” I shriek trying to defend myself as Preston smirks chewing away happily.

“I figured out how to breath under water today and I took Preston with me.” I say seeing Evans mouth drop open.
“Oh yeah I also found an underwater world of mermaids.” I continue now seeing everyone stare at me in silence, shock evident in the room. I explain how my day went and that I need to return a few times a week for training, I tell Evan about the king of the sea and the prophecy, well the rest of what my mother showed me. He watches me and you can see the gears visibly turning as he try’s to comprehend everything I’m saying.

“So you’re supposed to unite the species in to peace? And rule over them?” He asks wide eyed and I see Preston nodding while still chewing.
“Not rule over them just unite the species and bring piece to the super natural world, my mothers goal was to use me as a pawn to take power and rule over everyone.” I say dropping my head back to my food while I play with my pasta. We spend the next hour talking about the mermaids and Sloans plans as we all chat and eat before disappearing off to bed.

I go in to the bathroom just off my bedroom and get ready to shower when I hear the bedroom door open and I know Preston’s done in the kitchen. I smile to myself knowing my mate is near. Loosing Parker was the worst pain in my life but getting Preston has been so amazing in so many different ways, I couldn’t imagine what my life would have been without him. I don’t think I would have survived on my own. I step in to the shower as I hear the bathroom door open and I smirk knowing he’s coming to join me.

I wash my hair while listening to his clothes hit the floor and the anticipation rises making my heart beat pick up which I’m almost sure he can hear. He steps in and my eyes shoot open to see his big goofy grin that makes my heart throb even harder and I giggle feeling my body fill with a mass amount of joy, his hands glide along my hips and my skin sets on fire from his touch electricity flows through me and my nerves come to life wanting him more then anything.

“Mmm how are you feeling? It’s been a busy few days and you’ve used a lot of magic.” He says in a low sexy voice making it hard to concentrate on his words.
“I’m ok, my magic is over flowing lately so using it hasn’t really been an issue, I kept us both underwater for half the day today.” I say softly pushing my body in to his hands further while I close my eyes allowing my head to lean back under the water.
“That’s why I’m asking, it must take a lot to do that for yourself for that amount of time let alone bring another person.” He says this time with more concern and I allow my body to continue to relax.

“Preston, honestly I’m fine. My magic is strong and I can handle it.” I state a bit harsher then intended.
“Valerie I seen what Sloan did to you, you were hurt.” He states
“Well that’s because I thought she was a normal wolf, now that I know about her family I can be better prepared for next time.” I say with a smile as I hear him scoff. His hands continue to travel along my body massaging my muscles as he goes, I moan softly and I hear a deep growl come from him.
“Mm carful little wolf, you sound like you need me.” His voice lower this time sending shivers through my body, I finish up my shower and move my body along his while passing him to step out. He lightly nips my neck as I go by making me gasp.

Drying off I run to my bed quickly jumping under the covers pulling them up to my face while I wait for my mate to come in. A moment later the door opens and my heart pounds, he drys his hair with a towel as it swish’s to the side. Looking up at me he growls again, my body reacts and goose bumps quickly spread while I watch his eyes get darker before flicking to gold. I giggle waiting for him as I see his wolf peak through and Anna matches his gaze giving me butterflies.

Preston pounces landing above me as my fear rises feeding my desire, my heart races and I feel his breath on my face. His warm wet tongue presses in to my neck before he gently bites down leaving a small kiss behind, my hips thrust to him begging for him to please my desires. He smirks knowing he’s teasing me, making me wait longer for him. He rips the blankets off tossing them to the floor revealing my naked body to him, I gasp pushing my hips to him again while his mouth dives down to find my swollen bud.

My soft moans grow with each flick of his tongue, my body twitches to the feeling of him while his huge hands wrap around my waist pinning me down. I grab his hands pulling him closer and my body moves along with his rhythm, his soft tongue flicks gracefully pulling me in to a trance as I enjoy him fully allowing him to do what he wants. I gasp breathing heavily, he sits up quickly pulling me to him by my hips making my heart skip and within seconds he’s deep inside of me and I scream to the sudden shock.

His hand quickly covers my mouth stopping me from making any noise as my eyes water and he pounds in to me, I push my hips up letting him go deeper, his one hand under my ass holding my up and the other now moved to my throat choking me against the bed, my body vibrates as the pressure builds and Preston smirks knowing I’m close. He slows down doing deep long thrusts each time as my muscles twitch and I feel myself release while a loud growl erupts from his chest, everything goes black while I near the end of my high and my body collapses and my muscles all go numb in submission.

“I fucking love the way you feel.” Prestons voice still low making that feeling come out in my chest that he gives me.
“Ahh fuck.” He drags it out as I feel him shutter against my body finishing before he collapses on to me and we lay together in a perfect mess, breathing deeply we lay skin to skin as I begin to smile and I feel joy fill me once again.
“Hey.” Preston says catching my attention as my head snaps around.
“Your skin feels like pricks against mine.” He says softly looking down to his arms.
“Sorry it’s my magic I wasn’t focusing.” I finish as he laughs.

We lay together like this for a while as I listen to his heart beat loudly in his chest calming me in to a perfect serenity. I slowly start to doze off listening to the constant pumping of his blood, once asleep my mind spins through the darkness trying to show me something. I fight through it for a few moments trying to find the vision it’s leading me to, after a while I finally come to an opening in my mind as it all starts to come in to focus.
