Chapter 64.
Alisons POV.

I watch Salem run along side Evan and my heart has never felt so full, Ace has been mind linking with Talia and they are very happy to meet one another. Ace seems like a strong and logical wolf, he’s kind and gentle, I think he and Salem will make a good pair to lead our pack. We make it back to the gardens as the moonlight continues to shine on the large open area lighting it up, I walk in to the storage shed where I left my clothes before shifting back to my human form and getting dressed.

Being Luna I don’t feel comfortable letting the pack see me undressed like the other wolves, I feel like a Luna should be more modest and not show more then they need too. Of coarse if there was an attack against the pack or I had to shift to protect someone that would be an unusual circumstance where I would shift regardless but besides that I’ll shift in private.

I walk out to see Evan and Salem both filling their plates making me chuckle.
“Feel free to mingle and eat for as long as you’d like and thank you all for coming.” I say loudly as I grab a plate to joining my two men.
“Did you have fun?” I ask Salem as he nods happily with a bacon wrapped chicken leg hanging out of his mouth.
“Yeah, I can’t wait to be able to run when ever I want.” He says between muffled chews making me laugh again.

I find a seat as Evan follows behind me to busy eating to notice or pay attention to anything besides what’s in his mouth, I start cutting my chicken when Poppy comes walking over with Lilly I her arms.
“I’m going to go get the girls ready for bed, I will leave a nanny with them after they are asleep but I think I’m gunna head out for the night soon, I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon but I promised Pepper I’d help her get her new pack organized.” She says as I nod while trying to swallow before talking.

“Thank you Poppy you’ve been a big help this last week.” I answer with a smile as she nods and heads out with both girls.
“You know that was probably your last run until the baby comes right?” Evan blurts out and I nod.
“Yes I know I’m well in to the second trimester so I’ll stop, its going to be hard though.” I mutter under my breath making him chuckle.
“I know but it’s safer for the baby.” He says and I lean back before finishing my food we spend the rest of the night mingling around with other pack members as they congratulate Salem.

Peppers POV.
It’s been a few weeks since Linus moved his pack to the new lands and Salem had his ceremony, it’s been so busy and I keep feeling like I just want to hide. My Luna ceremony is in a few days and I’ve felt sick the entire time, I think waiting is the worst part I want it to just be over and done with, a knock on the door breaks me from my thoughts making me jump.
“Come in.” I call softly as I sit up straighter on the edge of my bed, Valerie comes striding through the door and I smile.

“Alison sent me, she’s hanging out with Evan for the day and said you might need some help getting everything ready for the Luna ceremony.” She says as I feel my face blush red and I nod.
“Yes, packs will be showing up tomorrow and I have no idea what I’m doing.” I say back as she goes to my closet pulling things out.
“Ok, tomorrow you will wear this when you greet the other packs.” She says as she hands me thin black tights and a deep green thigh high long sleeve dress.

I take it in my hands placing it in my lap as I stare at it blankly while my mind wanders.
“Do you think I’ll be a good Luna?” I ask without moving my eyes as I hear Valerie chuckle behind me.
“Why would you even ask that? Do you think you won’t be a good Luna?” She responds and I feel my lips squish together as I struggle to answer.
“I don’t know, I’m scared. I’ve been dreading the Luna ceremony, after tonight I am responsible for a whole pack.” I say feeling my stomach turn at the thought.

“And what have you been doing this whole time?” She asks making me finally look up in confusion.
“What do you mean.” I ask before realizing the words are coming out of my mouth.
“Well it’s been almost a month now since Linus moved the pack here, you have been handling every Luna duty that has been tossed your way, your scared of not being a good Luna yet you’ve already been dong the job of a great Luna.” She says and I stop to think for a moment.

“I’m saying your doing great so far and the longer you do it the easier it will be and the better you will become at it, just because you weren’t born in to an Alpha family doesn’t mean you can’t be a good Luna. The moon goddess picked you for Linus so obviously she knows you will be great at it.” She finishes with a smile and I nod giving her a soft smile back feeling a little better.
“I’m sorry I think I’m just nervous.” I answer back when I realize I’ve just been sitting here rubbing my hands together.

Valerie slips out to go get lunch while I take a shower, she’s taking me to a salon in a small village just outside the pack to get my hair done before tomorrow. I hear the door open while I’m brushing my teeth and I spit quickly before calling out.
“I’m almost done.” I say while trying to hurry when the bathroom door opens.
“I thought you’d be gone already.” Linus says as his arms wrap around my waist and I begin to relax, the bond has been slow but I do seek comfort in him now, I find my body craving his.

I guess with me having witch blood it makes the bond happen slower, it doesn’t help that I’ve been to nervous to really do much with Linus outside of dinner and talking.
“Valerie is getting lunch while I get ready then we will be going to the salon.” I answer back before rinsing my mouth and turning to look at him, his eyes swirl in colour and I know his lycan is trying to look through. I watch the colours move combining together as I get lost in his eyes, they are so beautiful and memorizing.

I feel his soft lips press in to mine as my body relaxes and my eyes close while I melt in to him, warm tingling sparks flow through my body where his touches mine. A moment later I hear the door click open again and I quickly pull away going back to the bedroom to find Valerie setting a platter of fruits and fancy breads.
“I guess baked goods is a big thing here with them.” She says with a chuckle as Linus walks out behind me.
“Oh I’m sorry your majesty I didn’t realize I was interrupting.” She says softly as her head shoots to the ground showing submission.

“Not an issue Valerie, I was just checking to see if Pepper was still here.” He says as he kisses the top of my head and turns to leave the room.
“I’m sorry.” Valerie silently mouths to me making me smile and shake my head.
“Lets eat so we can go.” I say with a small laugh and she smiles back to me nodding before jumping on to the bed.

Valeries POV.

Walking inside I drop the shopping bags on the floor, Pepper wipes me out, she’s so shy and in her shell when she’s around people she doesn’t know but good goddess when she’s alone with you she’s a lot to handle. Preston comes up behind me gently kissing my face making butterflies flutter through me.
“How was your day?” He asks softly and I smile turning to look at him.
“It was alright, I went out shopping with Pepper to get ready for her Luna ceremony. I’m so tired.” I blurt out feeling my eyes droop and get heavier with each moment.

“I can run bath if you’d like?” He asks while running his hands along my arms and my skin reacts coming to life to his touch, I nod softly as he smiles and leaves towards the bathroom.
I push the bags aside with my foot making mental note to put it all away in the morning when I get up, I hear the water turn on and soon the house smells wonderful as it’s filling up with the amazing smell of our mixed bath salts. I go to the fridge tossing a few strawberries in to my mouth while I stare out the widow in to the dark zoning out, Preston touches my arms making me flinch.

“Sorry, I was calling you and you didn’t answer. Are you ok?” He asks and I nod filling a glass with water before heading off to the bathroom.
“Yes sorry I was just thinking.” I say as he closes the door and begins to undress.
“Thinking about what?” He asks and I start to pull my clothes off as well.
“Honestly nothing, I’m to tried to think?” I say back as he chuckles and we both join each other in the warm consuming water.
