Chapter 29.
Evans POV.
“Alison you’re an amazing mother, if you need help you need to talk to me. How long have you been feeling like this?” I ask softly while still rocking the babies.
“I don’t know.” She says between tears as I nod.
“Do you want to hurt yourself?” I ask not wanting to hear her answer.
“I don’t know.” Her answer seems blank and cold making my heart break more.
“Ok Alison it sounds like you have some post pregnancy depression, I’m going to call doctor blair and we will work on this. I will get the twins to come stay for a little bit to help out as well as Emily, you go take a hot shower and go to bed please I will deal with this.” I say softly as she nods still crying, she slowly stands and goes back to our room leaving me in the nursery alone with the girls.

Taking out my phone I call the witch house, after a few rings I hear Peppers sweet voice on the other end.
“Hello Alpha what can I do for you?” She chimes happily as I sigh.
“Pepper, I need you and Poppy to come stay in the Alpha house for a few days I’ll explain when you’re here.” I say in one quick sentence.
“Of coarse Alpha we will be there in an hour.” She states before hanging up. I set Lilly down in her bouncy chair as I get started bathing Violet, Lilly hates the bath so I know it will be easier to just do her after her sister.

After the bath I bring the girls to the changing tables when I feel the twins enter the house,
“I’m up here!” I yell as I hear their small footsteps scurry up the stairs.
“Oh Alpha what are you doing?” Poppy claims as she runs over to me taking Lilly and Pepper grabs Violet, they start putting diapers and sleepers on the girls faster then I could have making me chuckle.
“The girls are teething and Alison’s not doing good, I’m calling doctor Blair to come and assess her. I think she has some depression after the babies and she needs help, I was hoping you two could stay for a bit and help out with the girls until I can make sure your Luna is ok.” I say as both girls nod.

“We’ve been wanting some time with the girls but didn’t want to be pushy, so we’d be happy to help.” Pepper states while swaddling violet as she coos at her taking a seat in the rocking chair.
“Thank you, I have some work to do so I will be in my office if you need me and Emily should be back shortly. I really appreciate it, and your mate will be tied up with moving his clutch to the pack anyways so maybe this will help keep your mind off him.” I say looking at Poppy giving her a small smile and I notice Pepper scowl.

I go in to my office and sigh deeply, how did I miss this. She’s been so focused on the girls she’s been neglecting herself and I didn’t even notice, I feel guilt wash over me and I sit down at my desk letting my head fall in to my hands. I call doctor Blair and ask for him to meet with Alison once she’s awake and I start making arrangements for the vampires, I will be meeting my builders on the south side shortly to go over building plans.


Valeries POV.

I get a mind link to meet on the south side, I finish eating quickly so I can get going. Preston comes in startling me making him laugh.
“Did you get called in for building too?” I ask with a small laugh and he rolls his eyes,
“Of coarse why else would I be coming in here to scare you?” He snickers earning him a glare as I put my plate in the sink.
“Well we better get going then.” I say as I hip check him while walking by, the Alpha told us to meet on the south side of the Alpha house which is only a 20 minute walk, in wolf form it’s only a few minutes. We see hundreds of wolves all dragging lumber and building supply’s, Preston and I both shift when we see Evan standing in the middle of everyone giving out orders.

“Good Valerie you’re here, I need you to meet with our pack members to let them know about the other species that will be moving on to pack lands.” Evan states as I nod taking notes expecting more.
“Preston you will be in charge of making sure we stay on schedule and nothing interrupts our plans, you will be the one to make sure any bumps are dealt with before we get to them.” He says sternly and I look between them.

“Alpha is that all?” I ask confused as he nods and I take a few steps back.
“Ok I will be back when I’m done.” I say before shifting back to my wolf. Anna runs through the pack till we get to the centre of the pack gardens, I lean back letting out a long powerful howl signalling a meeting with the pack. I walk towards the gardens and shift back taking a seat to wait for my pack, within a few moments wolves of all colours start pouring in to the gardens, families come walking in with children and soon the gardens are full.

I stand at the podium calmly while waiting for everyone to settle down.
“Thank you all for answering my call, the Alpha is currently tied up with another matter and has asked me to address the pack in his place.” I start as everyone’s eyes are drawn to me.
“Alpha Evans and I have been working on a project lately which most of you have heard rumours of, well we are now ready to let you in on what we have been doing. There is a prophecy that states the peace between species is coming, with that being said we have already linked with each other as well as the mermaids that reside on our coast.” I say loudly as I hear the murmurs begin.

“Mermaids aren’t real!” “They are extinct and have been for years.” Voices start flying all around and I raise my hand to silence them.
“I promise you they are real and still alive, they have been in hiding for years due to the conflict. That will be ending now! This coming week we will have visiting packs coming in to join our link, I encourage you all to bond and mingle with these packs they are our allies and they are our family. We will also be welcoming in a clutch of vampires.” With that sentence there is an uproar.

“Absolutely not!” One woman claims. “We can’t have blood suckers in our pack.” Another shouts and I have to rise my hand again.
“That is enough! We will welcome them in to our pack, they have leaders that aren’t leading the way they should be. They are selling other species off to hunters to protect themselves, the clutch no longer wants to be under control of their membership and they have asked for our help to flee. Members of the clutch will be feeding on animals while living on pack lands, feeding on a human will be considered against pack law. I assure you the Alpha and I have discussed in detail what we will be doing to keep everyone safe.” I say as everyone stays quiet while looking between each other.

“Most of the clutch has been killed, the members left are just trying to live and their membership is making their quality of life terrible. Mine and Alpha Evans goal is to link in as many species as we can, we hope to get all of them linked up we don’t know how long that could take. We would be very grateful if everyone could please cooperate as best as possible to make this transition smooth, please try and be welcoming to the new coming members and we will be holding a ceremony to link everyone in this weekend.” I say dismissing everyone.

Everyone slowly leaves the gardens mumbling along with each other as I sigh deeply, well that went a lot better then I had thought. I head to the Alpha’s office to finish up some notes before heading to the kitchen to grab dinner, I find Preston already wolfing down his food at the table with Evan making me laugh. I grab a plate and decide to join them, we finish off the evening talking with one another before we all head off to bed.

Once the bedroom door closes behind me Preston has me up against it, he softly kisses my neck while I lean my head back and gasp. He moves my hands above me while his travel down my body sending shivering sparks in there place, he works his way kissing the trail of sparks as he goes and I close my eyes allowing myself to enjoy the movements till his warm lips reach my core making me flinch. His fingers part my opening and I gasp once again, his soft wet tongue dancing across my flesh within seconds as my desire grows.

Softly moaning he flicks away at me as my hands find his hair and begin twirling wildly through it, my heart throbs as pleasure courses through my body and before I know it I’m scooped up in to my mates arms as he begins to move us to the bed. Placing me down at the head of the bed he reaches over grabbing the cuffs we have attacked to the head board, linking my hands in them he chuckles before standing again while I just squirm in anticipation.

I hear him light the candles around our room and my mind spins waiting for him to return, he pulls a sash from the dresser before coming back to the bed to tie it around my eyes stopping me from seeing. I bite my lip making him growl as my core burns wanting to feel him, his fingers begin to trail down my body. Starting at my neck he uses gentle touches to tickle me as he moves lower tracing my collar bone before dancing his fingers down to my nipple slowly tracing it before continuing, I flinch to the touch as my body demands more and my breathing becomes heavier.

“Calm down little wolf, we’re not even at the good part yet and you’re ready to come un hinged.” Prestons smooth seductive voice flows through my body giving me shivers just adding to the sensation while his fingers continue before finally making it to my swollen bud. Within seconds he is plunged inside of me making me moan loudly as I try to move closer towards him, his fingers curl inside of me gently hitting my sweet spot making the pressure inside my body build further.
