Chapter 37.

Chapter 37.
Valeries POV.
Do you think I should bring poppy and pepper here?” I ask softly while Preston joins me in the water.
“I thought this was your place?” He asks kissing the back of my neck while his arms make their way around to my front.
“It is, but it’s also a vortex for magical energy. I feel bad keeping it to myself, I feel like I should be sharing it with the other white witches who are apart of our pack.” I say moving further in to the water.

“Well if you feel like it’s the right thing to do then show them, but as it is right now this is your place. This is where you come to heal and regenerate your magic make sure your ready to give that up first.” He states as I go silent letting his words dance around in my mind, he’s right I don’t know if I’m ready to give up my caves, I’m the only one that knows about them. They were a gift from the moon goddess, maybe I should speak with her about it first.

We play around in the water for a while splashing each other while we swim around under the sun peering in from the hole above us, the sun shimmers against the crystals sending little beams of light to dance around us. We kiss and make out splashing one another until we both get tired and our stomachs begin to agree with out idea to head back home.

We run up in our wolves as Alpha Mark comes running up to greet us.
“Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you all morning, Amara is in the gardens with a few members of her coven and she’s been waiting for you.” He states in a grumpy tone as I shift and he hands me a robe not before eyeing me up making a possessive low growl escape Preston and I giggle running my hand along his head.

“Go change and grab me some clothes please, I need to go meet with the leader of the coven.” I say to him before turning to walk off with Alpha Mark. Getting in to the garden I see 3 beautiful blond girls sitting side by side in the grass meditating, we walk up behind them as they remain still in their positions not breaking focus. I take a robe from one of the older women standing to the side and wrap it around my body.

“Well we thought you’d never show.” The one in the middle with long hair states slowly as I take a seat beside them.
“I’m so sorry, I had to get some things done this morning before meeting anyone.” I answer back feeling shamed for not being on time.
“You’re strong.” She says almost as a statement.
“I am yes, I’m still learning though.” I answer back feeling slightly annoyed.
“I can feel your magic, it’s powerful and hard. Your mother was a dark witch yes?” She asks as I nod still staring at her.

“Yes, I’m not sure what she practiced but I know it wasn’t good, she wanted to use my magic for what ever her plan was with the prophecy.” I say as she nods her eyes still closed as she holds her focus.
“Your mother cursed your magic, she gave you her darkness and it needs to be cleansed. Have you been getting sick at all worn down tired?” She asks as her eyes finally open and she looks over to me.

“Yeah actually I have.” I look to my hands not understanding.
“Dark magic hurts the body it makes it harder for you to heal and it takes more out of you.” She states as shame washes off me once again.
“I didn’t mean too.” My voice just above a whisper, I didn’t know I was using dark magic.
“How do I stop?” I ask sharply making my heart throb in anticipation, I need to fix my magic now I can’t be using dark magic like my mother.

I feel my anxiety rise thinking about her and how her genes run through my blood, my heart hurts for the loss of my first mate and my hatred for her grows again.
“We will do a ceremony shortly to clear your magic, it will take some getting used to as you’ve been using a different form of magic but you will be much stronger, what time do we start tonight?” She asks as she goes to stand while the 2 other girls stay seated still focused.

“We start just before dark so we have lots of time.” I say with a smile as she takes my hands in hers.
“Good, then I will get everything together, you can get acquainted with the girls.” And with that she is off with Alpha Mark and the older women to collect everything she needs. I turn to see the 2 girls now side by side eyes open, they look to me as their dark brown eyes read in to my soul.

They have medium length blond hair just like Amara but they seem harder then her not as girly or soft.
“My name is Valerie, it’s really nice to meet you.” I say to the girls while taking a seat in front of them.
“I’m Olive and this is Summer, we are Amara’s assistances where ever she goes we go.” They say almost in sync making me laugh a little, that’s not creepy at all.

I sit and talk with the girls or a few moments before Amara finally returns with a basket in her hands full of supply’s.
“Ok you will sit in the middle and just relax.” Amara says to me as I nod and do what she says, the girls circle around sitting down as Amara starts spreading some herbs and crystals around me in a pattern.
“The Apache tears symbolize protection and the clear quartz amplifies it’s power.” She says while placing down the little black rocks.

“The herbs are a mix I can give you later they all work together to help bind the protection spell and cleanse the darkness.” She says while adding small pinches of dust around us.
“The grid will help direct the energy and bring it in to focus.” She finishes explaining while I just sit silently watching and nod.
“Ok we are ready to begin.” She says while looking to both girls on either side of me, linking hands they all bow their heads and begin mumbling something I can’t quite hear. I close my eyes letting my head fall as flashes of my mother start pouring in to my mind, my breath leaves and I feel consumed.

On the ground in front of my mother I scream seeing Parker’s heart bleeding in her hands while he lays lifeless on the ground. I gasp as I’m pulled in to the next vision one I’ve never seen before, my mother standing over my father telling him he can’t stop her she will have the daughter she wants even if she has to force it. My father struggled to move under her power, she holds a small piece of paper above him with a sly smile on her face.

“This will ensure she follows me.” She states with an evil laugh, my mind aches sending shocks of pain through it. Next thing I know I’m looking at my mothers heart in my hands, the day I avenged my mate. I feel the pain tare through me viciously as I watch everything unfold in front of me once again and before I know it I’m left in the dark alone.

I wake up with the girls still sitting around me all looking worried, Alpha Mark and Alpha Evan both standing over top of me also looking shocked.
“What happened.” I say softly as I try to sit up.
“I’m not sure, the spell seemed to work but you passed out once it was done.” Amara states.
“I called the Alpha just in case, it could have just been overwhelming for you.” She says softly taking my hand in hers.

“I’d like you to see the doctor just to make sure everything’s alright. It was a hard spell and your mother was a very powerful witch, her magic would have started eating at you corrupting you, even after her death her magic was still influencing you.” Amara’s sweet voice floats around me softly.
“And her magics gone now? It’s not still attached to me.” I ask letting my eyes close feeling relief consume me.
“I don’t sense it any more but I’d like to keep an eye on you and I think you should drink the herbal mix for a few weeks, it will help your light magic develop and hopefully keep the darkness from returning.” She finishes as I nod feeling too weak to keep my eyes open any longer.

“You rest, I’ll get you to Blair and hopefully your strong enough for tonight.” Evans voice flows around me as I feel his hands scoop up under me lifting me in to his strong embrace. I groan and my mind slips back in to the darkness.
