Chapter 62.
“Ok well then we will go for a run in the morning together.” He says and I smile taking his face in my hands as I kiss him deeply. I step in to the hot water and sit down as he follows close behind, the water combined with his smell soothes me as my whole body begins to relax and I feel myself start to doze off as he rubs soap all over my body with my little purple loofa. I feel his hands work around my body as my mind remains blank lost I the bliss he causes when out of no where I get cold and feel his hands lifting me out of the water as he wraps the towel around me gently drying me off. Everything slips in to darkness and my dreams begin to take over as I feel my body gently press in to bed.

I feel soft kisses land on my lips and I smile as my eyes fight their way open.
“Time for our run.” I hear Evans smooth voice flow through me and I groan not wanting to get up yet, I roll over trying to ignore him when he crawls back in bed with me and wraps his arms around my body making me feel consumed in his embrace.
“Fine we will lay here for a bit longer but you’re going for a run today.” He says chuckling and I snuggle in deeper.

I wake up to the sun pouring in as I’m pinned to the bed by Evans gigantic arms, they hold me down as they lay dead weight on top of me and I know he’s still passed out, I snuggle back in to him further and close my eyes thinking about our new little baby and the family we have been making together. I eventually feel him start to move and I open my eyes to watch him as the muscles of his face twitch while he wakes up.
“Well good morning Alpha.” I say softly as he begins to smile scrunching his eyes before opening them.

“Good morning little mate.” He responds making me smile.
“We still need to run.” He says closing his eyes again and I let out a deep sigh.
“Fine I’ll grab a robe.” I say pulling myself from our bed as I grab my silk pink robe tossing it over me as I throw my hair behind me, he chuckles standing up to join me as we start to walk outside.

Valerie’s POV.
Alison went for a run with the Alpha so I decided to get the house tidied up while I wait for them to return, I hear the door slam shut and I turn to see who it is. Salem comes charging in like the little angry pre teen he is, his birthday party is next weekend and a lot of surrounding packs will be coming.
“Hey bud whats up?” I ask while continuing to fold laundry.
“I don’t really wanna talk right now aunt Val I’m just upset.” He says before grabbing a drink and returning to the living room to drop himself down on to the couch.

“Well sometimes talking about it helps.” I say trying to encourage him to open up.
“It’s just a girl at school I like.” He says with a low sigh and I smile.
“A girl you say, I didn’t even realize you were interested in girls.” I answer as I take a seat down beside him.
“Do you want to tell me what happened?” I ask softly as he stays quiet for a moment before finally speaking.
“It’s Annabelle.” He says with another sigh.

“Your best friend Annabelle?” I ask as he nods and I nod back softly.
“She was one of my first friends when I came to this pack, I thought she liked me too so I kissed her after lunch today behind the slide when we were walking home.” He says as I nod.
“What happened after you kissed her.” I ask as I see his eyes tear up and my heart breaks for him.
“She pushed me away and told me she can’t then she ran off and now she probably hates me, my best friend hates me.” He says through a screechy voice as his tears begin to flow and he puts his head in his lap as my hands land on his back trying to comfort him.

“Salem, I know you know what mates are and I understand you feel strongly for your friend but she was probably raised to wait for her mate just like the rest of the pups.” I say as he sniffles and nods.
“Tomorrow talk to her and apologize make sure she knows you won’t do it again and that you didn’t mean to upset her, if she’s your mate you guys will only grow closer as you age until you can both feel the bond, and if she’s not your mate don’t you want to wait to find her?” I ask as he nods wiping his face.

“I guess you’re right, I just really like her and I don’t want her to be mad at me, I really hope she ends up being my mate.” He says as I nod.
“I understand that, why don’t you take the rest of the day off and hang out here with me, I’m sure your parents won’t mind.” I say as he nods and smiles before looking up to me.
“Can we watch movies and have snacks?” He asks as I nod and laugh before getting up to get some snacks for him as I hear him fumbling around to grab a blanket and set up a movie.

We spend the day watching movies while he tells me about Annabelle, late afternoon I finally hear the Alpha and Luna return and I look over to them as they come in. I stand up leaving Salam to watch his show while I follow them in to the kitchen, Alison grabs a drink as Evan starts pulling out left overs. I mind link them telling them about Salem’s day so he can’t hear us when Evan answers back.
“I’ll spend some time with him to talk about coming Alpha duty’s and the mate bond.” He says before leaving the room and I join Alison at the table with a bowl of fruit.

“How was the run?” I ask softly popping a berry in to my mouth as she smiles.
“It was amazing, I love running in my wolf form. I never would have imagined how freeing it would feel.” She answers still smiling and I nod.
“Our wolves are gifts so of course they would be amazing.” I say back with a chuckle.

“Oh hey, is everything ready for Salem’s birthday next weekend?” She asks and I nod.
“Yes Luna we are good to go, the other packs will arrive Saturday morning and will be leaving Sunday afternoon.” I say as she nods.
“Perfect thank you for handling most of the planing.” She says and I nod again smiling.
“Not an issue, Pepper asked me to help contact the neighbouring packs for her Luna ceremony as well so I will be sending out invites this week sometime.” I tell her as she continues to wolf food back.

“Do the lycans smell super gross to you?” She asks and a scrunch my face thinking for a moment.
“No, they have a bit stronger of a smell but I wouldn’t say really gross.” I say as she nods slowly while lost in her own thoughts.
“I met the kings sister today and she smelled so bad, Pepper said it is because I’m pregnant but I don’t think Linus even smelled that strong.” She says as I think for a moment before nodding.
“It could be due to the pregnancy or it could be her, I’ll feel her out and see what I find.” I tell her and she nods taking a deep breath and I can tell shes uneasy.

“I think I may lay down for a bit, could you grab the girls from school for me please.” She asks and I nod as she gets up going to the bedroom, I didn’t notice how big she is getting I guess having her wolf this time around is really helping her. I sped some time cleaning up before leaving to go get the twins.
