Chapter 33.

Valeries POV.

I decide to go to the mermaid kingdom when I wake up in the morning, I lay in bed with Preston pushed against me making the one side of my body tingle in delight. I lay in bed planing out my day when I feel mate begin to stir, I smile feeling him pull me closer while I run little circles over his skin with my fingers.
“I need to go soon.” I whisper softly as I hear him begin to groan.
“Me too. I need to help with the new vampire arrivals.” He says through a groggy voice making me laugh.

“Lets go shower.” I say seductively before pulling myself out of bed to set the water, I hear him roll out of bed as he drags his huge heavy body through the room making me laugh once gain. I step under the water and allow it to soak over my body when I hear him pull the curtain aside stepping in behind me.
“Mmm I love when you’re all wet and soapy.” He says under his breath before trailing his hands along my skin, I lean back in to him letting the sensation flow through me.

My heart pounds in my ears as my breath hitches, his hands wrap around to my front while his fingers quickly begin to start working their magic. I gasp allowing my head to lean back and he flicks his tongue along my neck making the butterflies start in my stomach and flutter up through my chest, I feel his hard member pressed against my opening and I lean forward placing my hands on the wall pushing my ass up to him.

He thrusts deeply in to me making me gasp as I jolt forward, he pushes further with each thrust and my breathing becomes erratic. His hands find my nipples as he gently moves his fingers in circles teasing me, I gently move back in to him with each thrust as the sparks race across my body and I inch closer to release. He pulls my leg up so my foot is on the tub bracing myself, my moans bounce off the walls as he continues to reach my sweet spot.

Within seconds the pressure becomes to much and I erupt around him going weak as he holds me up continuing his pace to finish, we wash off and start to get ready for the day, it’s been such a long week and we’re no where close to being done with the vampires. So far so good though, there hasn’t been any issues in the pack and no one has been fighting, the membership still doesn’t seem to know about their members leaving which is good it gives us a better chance at linking everyone in.

I’ve been so exhausted lately I’m linking in new members every other day and it takes a lot of my magic, hopefully today will help replenish some of my energy and power. I pick out a pair of spandex shorts and a loose top, after braiding my long red hair back I take off out of the pack house to begin my run to the caves. I take in each moment of nature around me, the wind rustles through the trees pushing me along with it making me smile as I allow my body to move and dance along with it.

The smell of the trees invades my nose as a smile crosses my face and I soak it all in, sometimes I get so caught up in pack duty’s I forget how much fun it is to just live in the moment and be at one with my surroundings. I miss my alone time and I’ve missed the forest, before long I reach the entrance to my caves as I crawl through the opening and stand up on the other side braking away from my thoughts. I take my shorts off as I move in to the water tossing my shirt off to the side, I float around in the beautiful pool letting it’s magical properties enhance and repair my own.

After a while I finally decide to submerge as I feel Anna pull forward and my eyes flash, she loves to see the merpeople she thinks they are so fascinating. I plant both feet on the soft sand and start my journey to the kingdom. I’m greeted right away once I’m in the gates everyone has gotten to know me here since I linked everyone in and the king told them about the prophecy. I knock on the big solid door when it opens almost instantly.

“Oh hello dear!” The king chimes happily as his face lights up.
“I was wondering when you would be back.” He says chuckling while leading me inside.
“We were just about to eat come and join us.” He says nodding to Alice and Cove who are already at the table filling their plates.
“I’m sorry it’s been a little while, I’ve just been so busy dealing with the vampires moving on to the pack and linking everyone in I haven’t had much time or energy to do much else.” I say softly as I sit down and take a plate from Cove.

The king nods as he takes a bite of his cooked fish wrapped in seaweed.
“Well I assumed as much, last we talked you were finding a way to get the vampires to agree.” He states as I nod, I begin explaining everything that has happened with Poppy’s mate and moving the vampires on to pack lands and everything and he sits there staring at me with a big smile on his face.
“What?” I say with a small laugh.
“A witch in your pack is mated to a vampire, and you think that’s a coincidence?” He asks with a laugh as I stop for a moment to think about it, he’s right theres no way this wasn’t a part of fate.

“By the way, what can I do to help keep my energy up? I’ve been so drained lately...” I trail off as he stands from the table doing to a wooden and glass cabinet off to the side.
“Take one of these a day, you’re probably missing some vitamins, you burn a lot more when you are using your magic so you need to make sure you eat a lot more too, these will help but you need to be taking in more calories each day.” He says handing me a small bottle of tiny pills.

“These are just minerals from the ocean they will provide some vitamins but it will mainly help you absorb more from your food.” He finishes as I continue nodding.
“Thank you, I’ve been taking baths in the moonlight water in the cave but that only seems to help some.” I say as he nods.
“You need to take care of your human form, the use of magic can be very hard for your body to adjust to. Your powers have been growing quick and you have been developing faster then most witches, it’s bound to take a toll on your body.” He says again and we finish up the rest of our meal making small talk before the girls collect the dish’s and the king takes me in to the gardens.

The rest of the afternoon is spent with the king teaching me to control my breathing and recharge myself through meditation, by the end of it I surprisingly feel pretty good. The day begins to fade and I say my farewells before heading back up to the surface and laying on the stone bank to bask in the moonlight. I soak up the warmth trapped in the stones and let my body vibrate in the power I’ve regained, after a while I decide to get up and head back to the pack shifting in to Anna to let her run for a bit.

*valerie I need you back to the pack. Now!* Evan mind links as Anna takes off faster then normal, I push my magic forward to help her as her speed continues to grow and we quickly make it home. I burst through the door landing in the hallway as my paws smash through the chair at the entrance, I shift quickly laying on the ground as I try to chill my body out. Using magic in my wolf form is a lot harder and I tend to over do it sometimes.

Preston tosses a robe on me as Evan begins to talk.
“The membership found out their vampires are leaving them, at this point we should be expecting an attack. All wolves are on guard for the membership, I’ve called in a few other packs and once they arrive we will be heading to them.” He states as my eyes go wide.
“You want to take the fight to them?” I ask.
“If they don’t attack before then yes, you will be using your magic to control the situation, Poppy and Pepper will stay here to protect the pack and Luna. Stella will be joining you to amplify your magic, the vampire brothers will get the last family’s out as quickly as possible while our warriors go after the membership.” He states as I nod, at least he has a plan in place.

“According to Killian the membership is made up of 45 vampires all of which have been alive for centuries making them stronger then a normal vampire, we are going for kill shots I’m not taking any chances and you shouldn’t either.” He finishes as we all nod, when we are done I go off to find Stella. We need to make a plan to keep our wolves safe, we’ve never fought vampires before so we have no idea what we’re walking in to.

I knock on the door to her little cabin as I listen to her tiny feet putter across the floor inside, a moment later the door swings open.
“Oh hello valerie, have you spoke with the alpha?” Her sweet voice flows through the air effortlessly.
