Chapter 47.

I wait around while Valerie continues to get everything in order, and I pick away at the food being brought out taste testing everything as it arrives.
“You done eating over here.” I hear Valerie come up behind me making me chuckle.
“Why? Are you finally ready?” I ask stuffing another cupcake in my mouth, I love when we host events there is always so much yummy food.

She nods and I spring up chasing after her as we make our way to the forest edge to find the caves. After what seems like the longest walk I’ve ever been on we finally make it to a small opening in the rock and I see Valerie climbing through while waving for me to come with her. I make it through the dark cold tunnel to see it open up in to a huge room, I gasp as I peer around the beautiful crystal space and the water stirs startling me as I turn to the small pond in the middle.

I watch closely as the water rumbles making small splashes, I watch curiously as time feels like it slows and I’m stuck watching with my mouth open in shock.
“They will be here soon.” I hear Valerie say as a bright light shoots up out of the water and through the small hole in the top of the caves, next think I know I see a large man with a staff come floating out of the water. I watch him in awe as the light pours off him in such a warm comforting embrace.

Soon the large man emerges moving over to the shore line where we are standing, my mouth still dropped I watch one by one people emerge from the water walking up on to the land.
“Ah hello Valerie, I have missed you.” The large man states pulling her in to him for a large hug.
“Alison this is the king of the mermaids, he is Coves father.” She states turning back to the large man.
“This is Alison, she is our Luna. She runs our pack with Alpha Evans, he has helped me with the prophecy and the battles I have crossed on my journey.” She tells the king while I continue to look around at everyone.

We all work our way out of the caves as I watch everyone struggle, stumbling around on their jello like legs making me chuckle.
“Our kind hasn’t been on land in a long time, it will definitely take some getting used to.” The king says with a small laugh as he joins me watching. Once everyone has made it out f the caves Valerie and I begin leading the way back to the pack lands.

By the time we show up Evan has had all the wolves finish setting up the tents for everyone visiting and the gardens have been beautifully decorated and everything is perfectly ready for tonight’s celebration, I look over to Valerie noticing her face the same as mine smiling happily seeing our pack transformed. We’ve done so many additions over the last few months adding buildings cabins expanding the pack welcoming a vampire clutch and witch coven.

Everything we’ve done has led to this celebration, people all mingle together happily chatting and laughing away as they get to know one another making me smile more then before. There so much power radiating around us, all the species together as one uniting everyone in to each others magic. Its an amazing feeling swarming the area hovering over all of us, butterflies form in my stomach and I find myself floating in this bliss.


Valeries POV.

I stop to take a look around at all of the people talking with one another as I feel a hand on my shoulder catching my attention making me turn around.
“Oh hello Mark, is there something I can help you with?” I ask softly as I turn to see him.
“Hey Valerie, I’ve been wondering, when are you going to give me a chance?” He stutters out through a very drunk voice and I step back after smelling the alcohol on him.

“Oh Mark, I’m a mated lady. Lets find someone to help you I say as I take him by the arm leading him to the kitchen, I go up to the first server I could find and call them over.
“Yes miss Valerie?” The woman asks as I set Mark down at the kitchen table.
“Could you please help Alpha Mark to his room and make sure he has everything he will need for the evening.” I state as the woman nods and I look over to the lump of drunken stench sitting in the chair.
“Ah come on Valerie your not going to take me to bed?” Alpha Mark try’s to persist and I just shake my head as he starts to pass out again.

I take a deep breath before chuckling to myself ad making my way back outside to the party, as I make it to the garden I hear loud bangs begin to go off above me making me jump as bright lights fly from the sky lighting up through the dark night. I feel myself smile as my eyes are glued to the sky watching the beautiful lights travel across it, I feel Preston’s presence before his hand touches my arm softly where little sparks begin small explosions of their own.

I allow my body to relax in to his as our heart beats align with one another, there is so many traditions going on at once right now it’s amazing to see everyone teach and show one another their cultures. The fairy’s are showing everyone their glimmers and how they can grow plants in their glimmer form, Evan is holding a moonlit run and soak which will start after the fire works.

There are little venders set up all over the court yard, its beautiful to see everyone sharing their traditions and beliefs. I walk up to a little stand run by the pixies as I look through all the tiny trinkets and admire the work that’s been put I to them, the small light twinkles above my head as I pick up a small gold necklace. It sends a rush through my fingers and I smile, it has small amethysts woven in to it with gold wire.
“How much for this?” I ask softly as the small older woman looks up to me and smiles.
“Take it dear, you’re the reason we’re all here.” She says back while squeezing my hand and I smile in return before thanking her and heading off to go find Evan.

The fireworks still boom above me as I feel them rumble through my chest, I find Evan standing with Alison over by the small pond. I feel the kings aura around me making me stop to look around spotting him a few feet away from me.
“Have you had a chance to meet the Alpha yet?” I ask as he smiles turning to me.
“Not yet dear, I haven’t come across him since arriving.” He states before taking a sip from his drink.
“Well then I’ll take you too him.” I say with a smile and we both head over to where I just spotted Evan.

“Alpha, I hear you still haven’t met the king.” I say smiling as I approach him and Alison on the stone benches and he stands to greet us.
“Yes hello your majesty, I’m so sorry to keep you waiting its been such a busy night.” Evan says with a smile offering the king his hand as he takes it.
“I completely understand, your pack is beautiful and your members seem to be very well brought up. It’s definitely and eye opener to be back on land again.” He states making Evan laugh.
“Well thank you sir, I took over the pack at 16 when my parents died. I’ve done my best for my pack everyday since.” He answers and the king nods.

“I can see that my friend and truly you’ve done an amazing job, we were a little nervous about coming back on land and I’m really pleased with what you have helped Valerie accomplish.” The king states while giving Evan a pat on the back.

“Well I think I’ll leave you two to talk, I’m going to go get everyone ready to begin the moonlight run.” I say as I turn to leave, they seem caught up in their conversation anyways. I make my way over to the forest where I begin to light the torches standing tall around the opening on the trees, wolves begin to come over shifting on their way when they notice the flames flickering gently indicating the beginning of the run.

I notice wolves as well as vampires changing forms making me smile, suddenly I see a sparkle flutter passed me and I jump back laughing. I shift quickly feeling all the bones in my body crack and brake in to place as I begin to reform, I lift my head to the moon howling loudly as everyone starts to howl along with me, next thing I know we’re off. Sprinting through the dark my heart pounds along with the thump of my paws on the ground, Preston’s wolf comes running up to me as the ends of our fur glide across each other leaving the familiar sparks along my skin.

I push myself in to him making him stumble and I laugh, I take off faster before he has a chance to catch me.
“You’re in for it now!” He chimes through mind link making me laugh as I continue to gallop off faster then him allowing my magic to give me an extra boost.
“That’s if you can even catch me.” I say laughing as I hear him become out of breath quickly making me laugh harder. I slow down slightly letting him catch up a bit, I dodge back and forth making him lunge for me each time. I roll across the ground and take off running again.
“Why do you always have to play with me like that.” He says making me feel bad, I’m stronger then him and I know I am. I guess its rude to be rubbing it in all the time, I slow back down to my regular pace as he runs up beside me.

“I call witch craft.” He states looking at me with an un approving gaze.
“I vote when we play fight you can’t use your magic because I don’t have any.” He finishes in a pouty voice making me laugh.
“Fine I won’t use my magic when we’re racing” I say as he pushes himself in to me.
“Good now lets get back to the pack.” He says with a smile knowing he just got his way and I chuckle before we speed off again with the pack following close behind us.
