Chapter 27.
Valeries pov.

I get up dragging myself out of bed feeling drained and sluggish, it’s been a while since I felt like this. I guess even witches can get sick, I just thought my magic was protecting me. I decide to take a hot shower and see if that makes me feel any better, turning the water on I feel the damp warmth seep I to my skin. I lay in the bottom of the bathtub letting the hard water pelt down on top of me, closing my eyes I feel my head pound in my ears making it hard to hear anything else around me.

I feel Preston’s hand touch my leg and I don’t even move to acknowledge him.
“You ok?” His soft voice chimes peacefully and I find myself seeking his comfort instead of answering him, I pull on his arms until he’s sliding into the tub with me fully clothed.
“Woah woah Valerie.” He says gently as he tries to brace himself.
“I feel like shit.” I say back as he pulls me in to his arms and we lay quietly together letting the water pull us in to a perfect blissful meditation with one another.

We lay like this for a while enjoying the comfort of each other peacefully for what seems like forever until we finally decide it’s time to get up and start our day. I get dressed tossing on loose jogging pants and a tank top before heading off to the Alpha’s chambers to meet with Evan and then spend the day in my caves to see if it will help me get over this cold.

I knock on the Alpha’s door and hear him call loudly from the other side, I step through the door and he motions for me to sit down a toss from him and I obey.
“Good morning Valerie, I’m sorry for pulling you away last night.” He claims as I nod and he looks back down to his desk moving paperwork around.
“I’ve called all the allying packs asking them to meet for a binding ceremony, I had a conference call and explained the prophecy and the wolves agree this is the best choice to make sure everyone stays safe.” He says not looking up from the table.

“Any other species yet?” I ask soft wincing back the pain shooting through my stomach.
“Are you ok what’s wrong?”’ Evan asks as his eye brows frow and he looks concerned.
“I’m ok, just not feeling great.” I tell him shrugging it off as he nods.
“Some of the packs are in contact with other species, they agreed to try to make contact to see if any of them agree to join us.“ He states while I nod and he scribbles on some papers.

“What bout the new comer?” I ask while leaning back allowing my body to stretch out a bit.
“I will be meeting with his brother soon and we will go from there, he said something about a membership so I’d like to learn more about the way they run their community.” He says and I get lost in my thoughts.
“Do you have any plans for the day?” His voice pulls me away quickly.
“Ah, no not really. I was just coming to meet with you then going out to the caves, do we know when the other packs are planning to merge?” I ask softly letting out a deep breath.

“We hoping to have everyone down by the end of next week, the sooner we can have this done the better. If anything does happen to go wrong with the vampires we will have the numbers to go against them.” He claims and I nod agreeing before standing to dismiss myself, I head to the kitchen quickly to grab something to eat before heading out.

I feel the crisp morning air hit my skin and I inhale deeply allowing the forest to travel in to my body connecting me to my surroundings, I begin walking in to the trees while eating my mango tossing my skins on the ground to decompose I still feel uneasy with this vampire being in our pack. It doesn’t take long before I reach my small opening to my caves and climb through, taking my shoes off I walk bare foot across the warm stones. Tossing my stuff to the side I sit down under one of the small openings allowing the moonlight to pour in over top of me.

I close my eyes allowing my body to align with the moon, the bright blissful light cloaking me in it’s beautiful embrace. My mind relaxes and I get pulled in to a peaceful meditation, I feel my body begin to heal itself forcing the sickness out while my energy returns and my colour comes back to my complexion. I take a deep breath taking in the healing energy surrounding me as I feel myself smile silently feeling completely at peace with myself.

I focus on the new vampire I met trying to sense anything about him that may be off, I want to know more about the people we’re allowing in to our pack. My mind keeps drawing blanks besides what it’s already shown me and I grow frustrated, I lay back allowing myself to drift off in to bliss before going back to the pack house.


Poppy’s POV.

I wake up the next morning and Peppers already gone my eyes blink aggressively as I look around seeing I’m completely alone. I spring from bed running to the stairs trying to listen for any sound, reaching the bottom of the stairs I hear Peppers voice high pitched indicating she’s upset about something, every time Pepper gets mad her voice squeals and it’s really funny. I bust in to the sun porch to see her standing over my mate questioning him about something and I notice he’s leaning away from her.

“Pepper leave him be till after we’ve all had our coffee.” I joke while going to take Killian’s hand pulling him along with me
“Thanks for that.” He whispers softly.
‘No problem she can be lot to handle.” I say with a smile noticing her glaring at me.
“I’m going in to the market to get some shopping done, make sure you call his brother and see how far his is from the pack lines I’ll be back shortly.” She states while shifting her glare to my mate his hand still in mine.

I giggle turning to Killian as the door slams behind her.
“Jeez she really hates me huh?” He shrugs with a smile making me laugh harder.
“I promise she will come around, this is all new and we never expected once of us would be mated to a vampire.” I say looking down, unsure of how I even feel about it.
“Well we have some time before he gets here and your sisters gone now.” He trails off while stepping closer to me, his hands graze my hips making small sparks start across my skin.

I lean back allowing his hands to travel over me, they wrap around the small of my back when he pulls me closer making me gasp. My heart pounds and his lips land on my neck, my hands fly up in to his hair while my breath hitches.
“Can we go upstairs?” He asks softly between kisses as I nod in response
“Sure..” my voice hesitant, with that he scoops me up wrapping my legs around his waist as he takes off towards the bedrooms.

He tosses me on to the bed hovering over top of me.
“You’re so beautiful.” He says softly as I feel his teeth trail down my neck making my heart beat pick up faster.
“I’m a virgin.” I blurt out of know where and I feel his body freeze above mine and I become even more nervous then I was before.
“Well are you wanting to wait?” He asks calmly waiting for my answer as I hesitantly shake my head no.
“You are my mate, if I was going to have sex with anyone it would be you.”I say looking away as my cheeks flush.


I feel his mouth continue on my skin working his way down my chest making me shiver and my mind race, I can’t believe I’m about to do this. I’m about to have sex with my mate for the first time, I smile to myself while he’s busy devouring every inch of my body. His soft tongue swirls in little motions flicking along the trail he’s making, my heart races and my body becomes hot. I know I’m blushing as he reaches the waist band to my silk pyjama bottoms. I bite my lip as my hands cover my face and I feel his fingers tangle around the ribbon gently pulling it loose as he moans against my skin, my breath hitches and my clothes are off in one swift motion.

He plants his mouth softly on my warmth making me shiver while his tongue goes to work flicking away, spinning me in to a trance of pure pleasure, I’ve never felt something so intense before. The sparks of his touch mix with the sensation travelling through my core, my body twitches in response to his movements when I her him giggle softly. His mouth closes sucking hard on my clit making me squeal with delight when I feel him yank me closer to him pulling on my hips sending shocks through me.

He hovers over me once again before wiping his mouth with a big smile while I lay breathless.
“Do you want me to continue?” He asks softly as I feel his fingers twist around softly before he plunges them inside. My body shutters while he moves my shirt up with his other hand.
‘Yes, yes please.’ I stutter out, I feel his fingers leave me as his member reaches my opening. I didn’t even notice he took his clothes off, I gasp feeling his glide across me.

He slowly pushes himself in to me as my body tenses and my breathing hitches softly, he pauses allowing me to get used to his size before pushing deeper making me gasp while I try to force my body to relax. He continues slowly for a few moments before I finally start to relax around him and it all becomes much nicer, my nails dig in to his back as he picks up his pace while moaning softly.

“Fuck you feel amazing.’ His voice sending shivers through my body, I feel my stomach tighten as every nerve in my body lights on fire. A pressure builds more and more before I burst around him crying out as my muscles tremble and my soul connects with his, flash’s of our future come pouring in at once and I feel overwhelmed when all of a sudden I feel a sharp stink on my skin and I become dizzy, the world around me quickly becomes black and my mind fades in to the abyss.
