Peppers POV.

“Good morning, are you ready for tonight.” Linus asks making my heart jump.
“Yes Valerie and Alison have planed everything out and we finished shopping so I have my dress and it should be a pretty easy day. I should just be double checking some things then getting ready this afternoon.
“Good, Evan is here and we will be greeting the packs this morning so the girls will be meeting you in the living room when ever you’re up and ready.” He says as I swallow hard.

“How many packs are expected to come?” I ask feeling my heart beat.
“Well it’s your Luna ceremony and with the packs and other species now in a truce lots of people will be here, you’re also the first Luna in our pack in decades.” He answers and I nod slowly.
“It will be ok.” He says grabbing either side of my shoulders feeling my tension through the whole room.
“I know I’m just not used to so many people and being the centre of attention, having a twin meant I was always able to do everything with a partner. I’ve never had to do anything alone before.” I say and he nods.

“You will learn as time goes on how to do things without Poppy, all twins eventually have to have their own lives. It will be an adjustment but I’m here to help you through it.” He says and I nod before taking a deep breath and finally dragging myself out of bed.
“I guess I better meet the girls and get started with this day.” I say softly as I stretch out before going to the closet, Linus kisses my face and we say our good byes before parting ways for the day.

I walk over to my vanity looking at myself in the large mirror, the gold trim in the room reflecting back, it truly amazes me how fast Linus and his family finished building everything with the wolves. I thought wolves were fast but lycans are twice as fast. You can definitely tell they like to live like royalty, I never seen his old pack house but I would assume it probably would look something like this. I take a deep breath as it hits me, this is my new family.

Since Poppy and I were taken we’ve only ever had each other we lost hope in ever having a family, that was until Evan saved us. That was the first time we ever felt like we belonged somewhere safe and loving but with Linus I will actually have a family, he has siblings and parents and cousins which is way more then I ever had. My day dreaming is stopped by a knock at my door.

“Come in.” I call out as Alison and Valerie come in smiling brightly making me blush turning back to them.
“We were waiting for you but we seen Linus leave and then you didn’t come.” Alison says coming to kneel down to me
“We thought we were going to have to drag you out of here.” Valerie says behind her as she giggles and I shake my head.
“No I’m sorry I was just thinking, I guess I didn’t realize how zoned out I was.” I say making them both burst out in laughter.

“Well come on, breakfast is being brought out lets grab some before everyone starts clearing the tables, those lycans look like they can eat.” Valerie says pulling my arm as Alison laughs.
“We have 6 hours till we need to get dressed, Alison and I wanted to take you to the caves.” Valerie says softly keeping her voice low so no one hears and I nod smiling. The caves are a source of power for witches, and also the entry to the main land for the mermaids.

We all grab a few things we can pack a small bag to bring with us for lunch and something we can eat on the go, after pushing our way through the crowds of people already coming in to start filling their plates we are finally on our way to Valerie’s special spot. We laugh and chat the whole way about life as Luna and what it will be like running a pack, honestly I don’t think I could have asked for a better start to my Luna day.

We reach the caves and climb through one after another as the cool air spills out around us giving me a chill.
“Seeing as you’re going to be a Luna you should probably meet the moon goddess.” Valerie says with a laugh as my face blushes hard and I feel my body tense.
“What?” I ask in shock as both of them start laughing.
“These caves are blessed by the moon goddess, our magic comes from the earth but she has concentrated it here for us to utilize, it only seems fitting that you now get the chance to meet her.” Valerie clarifies and I feel my heart get stuck in my throat and all I can do is nod.

We all sit down placing our feet in the water while linking our fingers together, Valerie drops her head and calls for the moon goddess the mother of all wolves. Within a few moments a bright glowing light comes down as a silhouette of a woman comes in to view, I hold my breath as the glimmering light begins to settle and a comforting warmth fills the air around us.
“Hello children, Valerie it’s good to see you again.” She says nodding her head towards her as Valerie copies doing the same motion back.

“It’s good to see you as well moon goddess, and I’ve called you here to meet a new Luna.” Valerie says before looking over to me.
“I know darling I’ve been watching her, Pepper a child of magic born to a family of witches who were wiped out by a ruthless wolf pack run by the previous Alpha Romeo. I gifted you the lycan king as a mate to show you true love and protection, he will teach you the meaning of love in a family.” She says making my heart skip a beat, if I had to name a feeling he gives me it’s comfort he makes me feel complete when I’m with him like I’m no longer searching.

“Thank you moon goddess, I just fear I will let you down. How can I know I’m even cut out to be a Luna?” I ask softly as I feel shame wash off me.
“Oh child, you are destined to be Luna, it is apart of you and you will figure it out with time. Until then I bless your gifts as luna, you will be kind and lead with grace and fairness. Every challenge you face you will handle calmly and efficiently, you will support your mate and your pack will grow and prosper under your control.” She states and my body begins to warm greatly.

“Your fear of this role will dissipate with each day, you will learn from the strong kind women around you and they will help make you great. Your magic will increase once your ceremony is complete and you will be stronger then you ever have before, you will have the strength of your pack carried with you each day.” She finishes and I nod softly.
“Thank you moon goddess, I promise to try and fulfil your expectations.” I say smiling up to her as she returns it before turning to Valerie.

“You have been doing wonderful work with the other species and packs, events are being held more often and mates are being found more frequently. Every day multiple mates are coming together which is a much higher rate then last year at this time, you have done amazingly for the world of the super natural and you should be very proud of be very proud of yourself.” She tells Valerie as she nods and pride hits us in waves.
“Alison how are you liking your wolf.” She asks turning to talk with Alison now.

“I love her, honestly I don’t know how I ever lived without her. I’ve never felt so complete before in my life, I feel like I connect better to my children and I feel like I’m stronger then ever, oh this pregnancy too has been much easier.” She says with a big smile making us giggle.
“Well I’m glad you are getting along well and congratulations on expanding your lovely family, I look forward to watching you girls as time comes and you all grow, I’m excited to see what you all accomplish.” She responds and we all nod.
“Now I must be going, I hope you all the best and I hope you have a joyous night.” She says before throwing her arms up and the glowing light comes in again surrounding her before blinding us quickly and with that she’s gone.
