Unrivaled Power

I paced back and forth while I waited for Milton to wake up. I knew expelling someone from a sleuth was the worst thing any bear could go through. Well, there was only one thing worse. I glanced at Milton. I got him rejected from his sleuth, I wasn’t going to make him lose him a mate. I was going to mark him and make him sure that he was who I wanted. Well, at least I could pretend with the hopes that my feelings would grow like he deserved. When his body jerked, I froze, watching him for a moment before moving to the side of the bed to run my hands over his body. My touch seemed to soothe him, making me heave a deep sigh. Logan had already agreed to allow Milton to become a member of our sleuth, but even that did nothing to ease my fury over how Corey treated Milton. He deserved a lot better than anything Realm could give him.
Making up my mind about what I wanted to do, I bent over the bed to kiss Milton’s lips softly as Angel let her aura out, sinking him deeper into his slumber. She wanted to make sure that he slept until we got back. I moved him to the middle of the bed before making sure he was tucked in and walking out of the room, sliding the key card into my pocket. I stopped outside the door, letting Angel’s aura out more while uttering a low hummed growl, ordering every bear in the vicinity to come to me. In less than a minute, close to two dozen men and women stood in front of me, eyeing me curiously. I let my aura out more, making them all wobble. I thrust my thumb over my shoulder toward my room.
“Noone enters this room. If they try you stop them. Even if you have to die. Am I understood?” I ordered, pushing my aura on them harder. They all nodded and I let my gaze slowly move over them. “You will stay vigilant. If I lose what’s in that room, I will slit all of your throats and make your family eat your corpses. Is that understood?” Again they all nodded. “Good. I will be back soon.”
I squared my shoulders as I stormed out of the hotel, heading straight for the woods to strip my clothes off before letting Angel out to shift. She immediately jumped around anxiously, bucking and pawing at the ground as she let our fury take over before sprinting toward Realm. She ran the six miles to the border with ease, not even getting winded. She slowed as she got to the gate, walking with purpose and her teeth bared. Four men stepped out to block our path to the gate, and Angel forced me to shift back so she could talk to them. I straightened my back, smirking at them.
“I’m going onto Realm land. There is nothing you can do to stop me. So, I would advise you to just move. Your future alpha is the only one I came here to hurt,” I told them, hoping that they would just obey me but from the look on their faces, I knew that wasn’t going to be the case. I shrugged. “Or not!”
Angel’s aura came out so fast and hard that every single one of them hit the ground, groaning in pain. I smirked down at them before yanking the pants off the smallest guy to put on before taking a shirt off one of the others. I reached up to tie my hair in a knot before stepping over the men to head toward the sleuth house, following Corey’s scent. I took pleasure in the way that Realm Sleuth was obviously on lockdown due to my presence from the lack of anyone on the streets. By the time I got to the sleuth house, close to forty muscular men and women stood between me and Corey, who stood with his parents on the porch. His father put his hand on Corey’s shoulder as he stepped forward.
“You are not welcome here, Giselda. Leave or we will take your life,” Corey told me.
My smirk got wider as Angel flashed in my eyes. “Dismiss your warriors or I will kill them all and leave your sleuth defenseless.”
“I don’t know who you think you are, but–”
I waved my hand around at the warriors. “Sleep!”
My aura took them over immediately, knocking most of them out while the ones that tried to fight my command started choking, and gasping for air until they succumbed to my command. I walked toward the porch, keeping my eyes trained on Corey as I walked over his warriors, purposely stepping on as many of them as I could. I wanted to make sure that they understood the disrespect that I was doing my best to cause them. I stopped at the base of the stairs, still grinning evilly at him.
“Come down here. I want to talk to you!” I said, falsely pleasant.
“Giselda, you are setting Havana up for a war,” his father warned.
I raised an eyebrow at him. “Do you really think that your sleuth has the power to fight me?” I laughed before it was cut off by Angel growling. “GET ON YOUR FUCKING KNEES!”
His parents hit the porch with their heads bowed like the submissive little bitches they were. I pointed to the ground in front of me.
“Kneel!” I growled.
Corey’s body jerked as our aura forced him down the stairs to obey my command. I lifted my hand to back hand, cackling as the hit landed hard enough on his face to turn his head and echo around the yard.
“You don’t know what you did!” I hissed as I raised my hand to slap him again. “He was the only thing that was protecting your sleuth from being slaughtered. “Your chosen beta is a dickl! He rejected his fated mate for what? To fuck his sister! And that’s who you chose? You don’t deserve to be an alpha!” I spat, slapping him repeatedly until his face and neck were both red.
I pulled my hand back higher before letting it swing down again, this time busting his lip. He toppled to the side and I kicked him in the side.
“You will never have him back! If I find out that Gerry is alive and he is allowed here, I will come for your sleuth! I will challenge you! And I will win! And then I will keep you alive to be a slave to Milton! You will wait on him hand and foot for the rest of your fucking miserable life!” I slapped him again, knowing that being beaten like a bitch who had burned dinner would be a bigger ego breaker than fighting him like a warrior. “You better watch your step! Fuck up one more time, and you will never see me coming!”
“I-I’ll accept him back,” Corey whispered. “Just stop hitting me.”
I tossed my head back as my hands landed on my hips. “You’ll accept him back, will you?” I sneered as I fisted his shirt in my hand. “Well, too bad for you, he already has a new sleuth with a higher title. He will be the beta boar. That trumps gamma. So fuck your offer! Fuck your sleuth! And fuck you!”
I drew my fist back and let it fly into his face, holding him upright for a moment when he lost consciousness before letting him fall to the ground. I turned my angry glare back to his parents, who were watching with a healthy amount of fear in their eyes.
“I am not going to repeat myself! I am watching you and your sleuth! Fuck up once and I will be back. I will take everything from you, just like you took everything from Milton!”
He didn’t respond as I spun on my heels to storm off. But truthfully, what could he say? His son was putting his entire sleuth at risk. I had just proven why that was a bad idea and I knew that with the power I just displayed, they would think twice about challenging Havana, but I had only used half of my power. I was strong enough to end all of their lives with my aura.
That was the power of the Bruin family. We were the originals. Nobody was strong enough to challenge us or the sleuth we were protecting. I dropped my borrowed clothes off before letting Angel take over again to run back to the hotel. I quickly got dressed and hurried to my room, checking Milton before dismissing the bears that had been tasked with keeping him safe. I locked the door before crawling into the bed with Milton as I pulled Angel’s aura away from him. He moaned softly as he began to shift on the bed. I wrapped my arms around him, and he immediately latched onto me, clinging to me tightly.
“Giselda?” He whispered.
“Shhh, Milton. Just sleep. And when you wake up, I will take you home,” I murmured as I ran my fingers through his hair.
“I don’t have a home,” he muttered sleepily. “I’m a rogue.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, baby. You have a home. I’m going to take you to Havana, where you will live freely,” I told him.
He nuzzled into my neck. “With you?”
“Yes. With me. As my chosen mate and beta boar.”
