Chapter 24

Chapter 24
Anna woke up the next morning, her body aching and her heart heavy with shame. She hated herself for complying with Fernandez's demands, for not fighting back. She quickly left his room, unable to bear the sight of him.
As she walked to her room, she couldn't help but curse Fernandez with every step. Her legs trembled with anger and her eyes stung with tears. She promised herself she would never forgive him.
Meanwhile, Fernandez woke up to an empty bed. He reached for Anna, but she was gone. His mind still reeled from the conversation with Alex the night before. How dare he covet his wife?
Fernandez's eyes narrowed as he made a call to his personal assistant. "I don't want to hear anything about Smith & Co. again," he growled. "Make sure Alex goes bankrupt. I want him to suffer."
His assistant hesitated, but Fernandez's tone left no room for argument. "Yes, sir. Right away."
Fernandez ended the call and went in search of Anna. He found her in her room, her hair wet from the shower, her eyes red from crying.
"Anna," he said, his voice low and even.
Anna turned to face him, her eyes blazing with anger. "Don't come near me," she spat.
Fernandez raised an eyebrow. "We need to talk."
Anna laughed, a harsh, mirthless sound. "There's nothing to talk about."
Fernandez took a step closer, his eyes locked on hers. "Oh, but there is."
Fernandez's eyes narrowed as he approached Anna. "Despite my warning, you still went out looking for a job. And with him, of all people."
Anna's eyes flashed with defiance. "What's it to you?"
Fernandez's smile was cold, calculated. "I made a call, Anna. Smith & Co. will be bankrupt by the end of the week."
Anna's eyes widened in horror. "You can't do that! What has Alex done to you?"
Fernandez's smirk grew wider. "Oh, it's good to see you're still supporting your lover. You should know that going bankrupt is the least punishment I've ever given someone. You should be thankful I spared his life."
Anna's hand shot out, slapping Fernandez across the face. "You're a monster!" she spat.
Fernandez's expression didn't change, but his eyes glinted with anger. "Believe whatever you want, Anna. But you'll never forgive me for what I've done? That's cute. You're in no position to make threats."
Anna's eyes blazed with tears and fury. "I'll never forgive you for this. Never."
The servants arrived, carrying trays of steaming hot breakfast dishes. The aroma of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and freshly baked croissants filled the air. Fernandez settled at the dining table, expecting Anna to join him.
But Anna emerged dressed in a elegant outfit, her hair styled perfectly. "Where are you going?" Fernandez asked, his eyes narrowing.
"It's none of your business," Anna replied, her voice cold.
Fernandez didn't bother to stop her, confident she'd return soon. And return she did, her face red with anger.
"The security wouldn't let me out," Anna spat. "What's going on?"
Fernandez sipped his coffee, his expression calm. "I've given you too much freedom, Anna. You've taken advantage of it. From now on, things will change."
Anna's eyes widened as the servants began to move into the mansion, unpacking their bags. "What's going on?" she repeated.
"The servants will be staying here permanently," Fernandez announced. "And the security will only allow you to leave when I permit it. You'll no longer be able to come and go as you please."
Anna's face paled with rage and fear. "You can't do this!"
Fernandez's smile was cold. "Oh, but I can. And I will."
Fernandez's voice cut through Anna's defiance. "Eat your breakfast, Anna. If you don't, you'll starve to death."
Anna reluctantly took a few bites, her mind racing with thoughts of escape. She knew she couldn't starve herself to death, not yet.
After breakfast, Fernandez dropped a bombshell. "If you're so bored, Anna, why don't you come work at my company? You can be my assistant."
Anna's response was immediate. "I'll never be your assistant, Fernandez. Not in this life or the next."
She stormed out of the room, leaving Fernandez to sigh in frustration. He headed to his office, instructing the security to keep a close eye on Anna and the servants to cater to her every need.
As he left, Anna seethed with anger and resentment, trapped in a gilded cage with no escape in sight.
Here's a revised version with a description of Anna's dress
Anna's eyes sparkled with determination as she hatched a plan. "Why should Fernandez be the only one to threaten and frustrate?" she thought. "It's time to turn the tables."
She strode to her closet, selecting a stunning red dress that hugged her curves and accentuated her beauty. The dress was a fitted, knee-length gown made of silk, with a subtle sheen that caught the light. It had a sweetheart neckline, showcasing her delicate collarbone, and a daring slit up the side, revealing a hint of her toned leg. The dress was a perfect blend of elegance and seduction, and Anna knew she looked irresistible.
With her hair styled in loose waves and her makeup subtle yet striking, Anna descended to the entrance, where the security guards waited. "Take me to Fernandez's company," she instructed, her voice firm.
The guards exchanged hesitant glances. "I'm afraid we can't do that, ma'am," one of them said. "Mr. Fernandez's orders were clear."
Anna's smile was sweet, but her eyes flashed with steel. "I'm going to his company, with or without your help. Choose wisely."
The guards reluctantly nodded, leading her to the car. As they drove, Anna's mind raced with strategies to disrupt Fernandez's life. She was ready to play his game, and win.
