Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Anna swept into the company, her ravishing red dress commanding attention like a magnet. The fitted, knee-length gown accentuated her curves, and the subtle sheen of the silk caught the light, making her look like a vision. Her hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, and her makeup was subtle yet striking, highlighting her piercing eyes and luscious lips.
As she approached the front desk, the employees' whispers and stares grew louder, their faces filled with curiosity and envy. At the reception desk, Anna purred, "I'm here to see Fernandez," her voice husky and confident, sending a shiver down the spines of the listeners.
The receptionist, a pinched-faced woman with a condescending smile, raised an eyebrow. "Many ladies like you have come claiming to know Mr. Antonio. Do you have an appointment?" Her tone was laced with skepticism and disdain.
Anna's smile was a work of art, sweet and innocent, yet laced with a hint of mischief. "No, I don't," she replied, her voice unwavering.
The employees snickered and whispered among themselves, their faces filled with malice. One of them, a sleazy-looking man, suggested she try a hotel instead. "Mr. Antonio won't spare a glance at someone like you," he sneered, his eyes roving over Anna's body like a predator.
Just then, a male employee, a smarmy-looking individual with a lecherous grin, approached Anna. "Want to spend the night with me? I'll pay you well. Stop trying to get the boss's attention," he said, his voice dripping with sleaze.
Fernandez's Personal Assistant, Mr. Thompson, appeared, his tall, imposing figure commanding respect. "What's going on here?" he inquired, his voice firm and authoritative.
The receptionist explained, "This lady claims to be here for the CEO, but she has no appointment." Her tone was laced with disdain and condescension.
Mr. Thompson's eyes widened as he took in Anna's stunning appearance. "Madam, please allow me," he said, his voice filled with respect and deference. He took her bag, his movements swift and efficient.
The employees stared, shocked, as Mr. Thompson introduced Anna. "Everyone, this is Anna Antonio, the CEO's wife. Please ensure she receives no further obstruction during her visits." His voice was firm, leaving no room for doubt or disobedience.
Anna's expression was one of triumphant pride, her eyes sparkling with amusement and satisfaction. Her lips curled into a smile, a work of art that could light up a room. She nodded graciously, enjoying the sudden change in atmosphere, as the employees scrambled to apologize and make amends.
Anna's eyes locked onto the male employee who had dared to proposition her. She sashayed closer, her red dress shimmering with each step. "So, are you still interested in that one-night stand?" she purred, her voice husky and confident.
The employee's eyes widened, and he choked on his own spit. His face turned beet red as he struggled to compose himself. "I-I apologize, ma'am," he stuttered, his eyes darting around the room in embarrassment.
Anna's smile was a slow, sultry curve of her lips. "Apology accepted," she said, her voice dripping with satisfaction.
Mr. Thompson cleared his throat, interrupting the awkward moment. "Shall we, Mrs. Antonio? Mr. Fernandez is in a meeting, but you're welcome to wait in his office."
Anna nodded, her hair bouncing with the movement. "Thank you, Mr. Thompson."
As they walked, the employees parted like a sea, their faces filled with a mix of awe and trepidation. Anna's bold move had left a lasting impression.
In Fernandez's office, Anna settled into the plush leather chair, her eyes scanning the room. The space was sleek and modern, with a stunning view of the city skyline. She smiled to herself, feeling a sense of satisfaction and belonging.
Mr. Thompson hesitated at the door. "Can I get you anything, Mrs. Antonio?"
Anna's smile was gracious. "No, thank you, Mr. Thompson. I'll be fine."
With a nod, Mr. Thompson left, closing the door behind him. Anna was alone, but she knew she wouldn't be for long. Fernandez would emerge from his meeting, and their confrontation would begin. She was ready.
Anna couldn't bear the quietness of the office. She had vowed to make Fernandez's life miserable, and she was determined to start now. She followed Mr. Thompson into the meeting room, her heels clicking on the floor.
The room fell silent as she entered, all eyes on her. Fernandez's meeting with his employees and investors was in full swing, but Anna didn't care. She strode confidently towards him, a sly smile spreading across her face.
Without warning, she jumped onto Fernandez's lap, pecking his cheek with a loud smack. "Hubby, you told me it wouldn't be long before you came home, but I missed you deeply," she cooed, her voice dripping with saccharine sweetness.
Fernandez's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly recovered, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. He squinted, his eyes locked onto Anna's, and she knew he had caught on to her game.
The room was in it move.
Fernandez's hands instinctively went to Anna's waist, his fingers drumming a slow rhythm on her hip. "Ah, my love, I'm afraid I'm in the middle of a meeting," he said, his voice low and husky, playing along with Anna's charade.
Anna giggled, her fingers fiddling with Fernandez's shirt buttons. "Oh, I'm so sorry, hubby. I just couldn't wait to see you."
The tension in the room was palpable, but Fernandez's eyes never left Anna's face. He knew she was up to something, and he was determined to play along, to see where this game would lead.
