Anna's heart felt especially warm hearing Fernandez's assuring words. "I'm not leaving your side." She soon fell deeper into unconsciousness, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath.

As soon as she fell asleep again, Fernandez slowly removed his hand from hers. His face turned cold, and he exuded a killing aura. He stood up, his movements fluid and menacing, and left the room.

As he entered the living room, the servants, the Butler, and Alexandra stood up, their heads bowed in respect. Everyone knew that dealing with Fernandez was like walking on eggshells.

Fernandez turned towards the Butler and the servants. "Follow the doctor's prescription on Madam's food, and I don't want any carelessness when dealing with her. Or else, you and your whole family won't be able to pay the price." His voice was cold and unforgiving, sending shivers down their spines.

Cold sweat formed on Butler's head at his master's words. Even the servants lined up behind him were more afraid. The Butler hurriedly spoke up, "Don't worry, master. I will be solely responsible for Madam and cater to her during this time."

The Butler knew within himself that the servants were foolish and tended to make mistakes. So, he would personally take care of Madam. Upon hearing the Butler's words, all the servants breathed a sigh of relief, thanking the Lord within themselves that the Butler tended to carry Madam's responsibility.

Fernandez nodded, seemingly satisfied with Butler's response. He waved his hand at them. "You are dismissed."

The Butler and the servants didn't waste any more time, quickly leaving to cater to their duties.

Fernandez turned his gaze to Alexandra, looking at his cousin suspiciously. When he noticed her fearful and scared expression, he knew she wouldn't dare to betray him unless she had a death wish.

"Look up," he ordered, his voice firm and commanding.

Alexandra looked up at him, her eyes filled with guilt and fear. "I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have let her go when she insisted." She pleaded, her voice trembling.

Fernandez stared at her coldly, his eyes blazing with anger. "I don't ever want to see you near her again." His voice was low and menacing.

Alexandra knew she was the root cause of whatever had happened. If only she hadn't let Anna go out! It was because of her that Anna suffered a traumatic experience.

"Okay," she nodded, quickly leaving before Fernandez's anger escalated further.

Fernandez turned his gaze to Cat and his men. "Have you managed to catch him?" he asked, his voice firm and commanding.

For the first time, Cat's face showed a hint of dejection. "No, sir. Someone was giving him information, and he managed to escape."

Fernandez clenched his fist hard, his eyes blazing dangerously. He knew Cat was never someone to fail. He nodded and replied, "I give you three days. I want to know who his spy is."

Cat nodded, his expression determined. "Don't worry, boss. He can't escape from me."

"You can go and rest. The Butler has probably arranged for you to stay," Fernandez said, dismissing Cat and his men.

Fernandez then went back to the room to check up on Anna. She was still in the same position as he had left her before. His eyes slightly flickered, and his gaze turned warm without him noticing. What was he feeling for this strange girl? Maybe pity because she had just witnessed a traumatic experience, and seeing her in that state, he wanted to avenge her and slowly torture Alex until he felt relieved.

"Fernandez." Reyna called as she entered the room. Fernandez looked at her and quickly signaled to Reyna to be quiet. Reyna quickly obliged and showed Fernandez the package of the drugs in her hands. She had gotten all the drugs prescribed by the doctor.

"She's asleep, let her rest." Fernandez whispered. Reyna couldn't help but think Fernandez had become extremely gentle. She prayed in her heart that he would always be like this. She looked at Anna once again, her gaze extremely warm. Seeing Anna like this really hurt her heart. Anna was like a sister and best friend to her. She dropped the drug packages inside the drawer beside Anna's bed and left slowly.

Fernandez also stared at her for the last time and turned towards the door. He shut the door lightly and went towards his study, because he still had some unfinished business.

At midnight, Anna had a nightmare. In her nightmare, the man had his hand wrapped around her throat, and he was glaring at her while saying, "If I can't have you, no one else can have you."

In her nightmare, the masked man was choking her real hard, and his voice was terrifying. Cold sweat started forming on Anna's forehead, and she trembled slightly as she wanted to escape from the nightmare.

"Please, let me go." She whispered hoarsely while tears fell out of her eyes. She seemed to be caught in her nightmare, and she was struggling really hard on the bed.

Her eyes slowly opened all of a sudden, and she was now freed from her nightmare. Her eyes were still wet, and her body trembled slightly, still scared of her nightmare.

She looked around the room and snuggled more into the bed. She felt extremely scared and alone. She felt a slight discomfort in her belly and tried to sit up. She wiped away her sweat and stood up from the bed.

She needed to pee urgently. As she stood up from the bed, the pain in her belly increased, and she felt a wave of dizziness.

She groaned loudly, clutching her belly. Her stomach was in so much pain, and tears slowly came out of her eyes. One of her hands landed on the wall as she tried to support herself.

The second hand clutched her belly while she thought, "Baby, please be okay."

She let out a breath and tried to move, but as soon as she took a step, the dizziness engulfed her, and she fell with a thud, clutching her belly. She let out a loud scream.

And soon, warm fluid - blood - flowed out between her legs, and she lost consciousness.

Fernandez was already at the door, and upon hearing her scream, he hurriedly opened the door.

"Fuck!" He let out a curse and rushed towards Anna, who was now lying in a pool of her blood.

"Anna! Anna, wake up!" Fernandez shouted, his voice filled with panic. He gently lifted her into his arms, trying to be careful not to hurt her further.
