Chapter 69

Chapter 69
Mr. Thompson's text arrived, detailing Anna's past whereabouts, but lacking the crucial information about her current location.
[Sir, here is the information you requested. After arriving from Dubai, Anna went to her mother's place, then to the hospital, and finally returned to the mansion]
Fernandez's face contorted in rage as he read the message. "What kind of fool is Thompson? Doesn't he know I want to know where she is now?" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the mansion.
The butler and servants cowered in fear, knowing they were in for a long day. The butler, trying to escape the chaos, slipped away to make a discreet phone call to Reyna.
" Miss Reyna, it's getting worse. Sir is furious. He's destroying everything," the butler whispered urgently, trying to keep his voice down.
Reyna's calm voice was a stark contrast to the chaos at the mansion. "Try to keep him calm, Butler. I'll be right there."
Fernandez, still fuming, typed a scathing response to Mr. Thompson. "You idiot! I asked for today's whereabouts also, not ancient history! Find out where she is now and tell me!"
The butler, still on the phone with Reyna, watched as Fernandez's anger reached new heights. "Sir is getting worse, Miss Reyna. I don't know what to do."
Reyna's firm response came through the line. "Just keep him calm, Butler. I'll be there soon. And where's Anna? Is she not at home?."
"No Miss Reyna, Madam is not at home and from what I heard, the boss was asking Mr. Thompson of Madam's whereabouts."
Reyna's mind raced with worries about Fernandez's fury and Anna's safety. She had tried calling and messaging Anna, but there was no response. With a sense of trepidation, Reyna made her way to where Bianca was seated in a room, hoping to request a leave to attend to the crisis at home.
Bianca looked up from her phone, her expression twisted in distaste. "What do you want?" she spat, her voice dripping with venom.
Reyna took a deep breath and explained, "I need to request a leave, my brother isn't fine and I have to go take care of him."
Bianca's chuckle was cold and mirthless. "Where do you think you are? You've just started work two days ago and you're already requesting leave. If you didn't want to work, why did you apply for this job?"
Reyna's anger simmered, but she tried to remain calm. "I'm really sorry about that, Bianca. It's not my intention to request leave, but the matter is serious."
Bianca's expression turned adamant. "No means no. If you leave today, consider yourself fired. Don't ever come back."
Just as Reyna was about to plead her case, Leonardo Rossi entered the room, his presence commanding attention. He had just been given two minutes break "Reyna, you can go. Make sure your brother is fine before coming back, okay?"
Reyna's face lit up with gratitude. "Thanks so much, Leo. I will be back."
Bianca's expression turned incredulous. "Leo, how can you allow her to leave just like that?"
Leonardo's expression softened as he turned to Bianca. "You can see she's begging, but you're still adamant. Isn't that an act of wickedness?"
He turned to leave, ignoring Bianca's protests. Bianca's eyes narrowed, blaming Reyna for the rift between her and Leonardo. "This is all because of that unruly girl," she muttered to herself.
Anna's smile faltered as she took in the chaotic scene before her. The living room was in disarray, furniture overturned, and decorations shattered. She turned to the butler and servants, who stood frozen in fear.
"What happened?" Anna asked, her voice trembling.
The butler hesitated before speaking. "It's the boss, madam. He's very angry and has been destroying everything."
Anna's eyes widened in shock. "Fernandez? Is he home?"
The butler nodded. "Yes, madam. He's back from the office."
As if on cue, the sound of shattering glass echoed from their bedroom. Anna rushed towards the room, her heart racing with fear.
As she entered the room, she gasped at the destruction before her. The stool was overturned, the closet shattered, and clothes scattered everywhere. Fernandez stood amidst the chaos, his emerald green eyes now red-rimmed, his knuckles bleeding.
"Fernandez, what's happened?" Anna asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Fernandez's gaze snapped towards her, his eyes locking onto hers with a fierce intensity. He took a step towards her, his chest heaving with ragged breaths.
"You," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "You're the reason for all this."
Anna's eyes widened as she took in the fury etched on Fernandez's face. She had never seen him like this before.
"Fernandez, calm down. What's going on?" Anna pleaded, trying to reason with him.
But Fernandez was beyond reason. His anger had consumed him, and he was unstoppable.
Anna's eyes widened in shock as Fernandez's words cut through her like a knife. "What? How do you know?" she stuttered, her mind racing with questions.
Fernandez's smile was cruel as he held up her phone. "It's thanks to your phone. I found a message from Reyna."
Anna's heart sank as she realized her mistake. She had forgotten her phone, and Fernandez had found it.
He clicked on the message and handed her the phone. Anna's eyes scanned the screen, and her face fell as she read Reyna's message.
Anna felt a wave of guilt wash over her. This was all her fault. If she hadn't forgotten her phone, Fernandez wouldn't have found out.
She looked up at Fernandez, his eyes blazing with anger. "Don't you know it's rude to intrude on others' privacy?" she said, trying to deflect his anger.
Fernandez's laughter was cold and mirthless. "Wow! You still have the gut to question me after everything you've done. You hid your pregnancy from me and went to get rid of it."
Anna's frustration grew. Why was he insisting she had aborted the baby when she hadn't?
"Let's settle this amicably," she said, trying to reason with him.
But Fernandez's anger was beyond reason. "Oh, I finally understand why you didn't want me to know about the baby. It's because it's Jason's baby, right? And you decided to abort because you can't give the baby to me and Jason isn't a rich man and wouldn't provide you with the things you need."
Anna's eyes flashed with anger. "How dare you!" she spat, her voice low and even. "This baby is yours, Fernandez. And I didn't go to get rid of it. I went to buy supplements for it."
She didn't know Jason get connected to the matter, how dare he accused her of cheating. He is totally unbelievable and crazy.
Fernandez's expression faltered, his anger momentarily stunned. But then his face hardened again. "I don't believe you," he growled.
And with that last statement, he left the room with his damaged self. He was having a panic attack and Anna wasn't aware of it. As he left Anna sat down on the floor, weeping to herself. She's the root cause of everything, she should have tell me instead of wanting to surprise him with the news. What could she do now?
Everything is messed up, and he didn't even believe that she didn't abort the baby.
