He continued to stare at the identical twins, their faces very familiar like he knew them or something.

He bent down to their level and one of the two girls with blue eyes spoke up. “Uncle, do you know if this is Mrs. Anderson apartment?”

Fernandez was instantly captivated by the girl's soft voice and expectant expression.

He cast a brief glance at the apartment before him and let out a deep breath before he eventually turned to the girls. “Of course, this is Mrs. Anderson's apartment but may I ask why you're here? And who are you girls, where is your parent?”

That was the very first time he spoke softly in his life, the two little cuties are beautiful and their innocence attracted them to him.

The second girl with green eyes moved to the front of her sister in a shielding manner, she crossed her arms with a deep frown on her face tugging at Fernandez's heart. “Uncle, thank you for answering our question, you can please go your way now. You are a stranger and we've already stayed with you for too long, if mom was here she would have scolded us.”

Her expression was so cute that Fernandez couldn't help but to hide his grin but it soon turned to a scoff after hearing the girl's words.

She said if their mother was really here that she would have scolded them for talking to a stranger. But she wasn't here, was she?

'What kind of irresponsible mother is she to leave these two girls all alone by themselves. What if they fall into the hands of bad guys? Women nowadays just give birth without taking care of them.’ Fernandez thought while giving the girl a smile.

“But I'm not a bad uncle, I answered your question earlier, didn't I?” Fernandez teased the girl trying to touch her soft and round puffed up cheek but she moved back and avoided his hands.

The second sister was peeping from her sister's back and this even amuses Fernandez. It seems the green-eyed girl thinks of herself as the elder sister.

“But mister, how do I know you're not bad? Mom told us that bad people don't often label it on their forehead and you're also good-looking. Mom told us that good-looking misters are often the bad ones.” Fernandez listened on keenly, eventually chuckling and shaking his head at the girl's words.

Their mother has really taught them the way of this life. It really surprises him that they remember every one of their mothers despite being so young. Their parents must be geniuses.

“Alright, I've heard but where's your mother afterall? It's so irresponsible of her to leave you all alone here despite her teaching you a lot.”

The two kids eventually flare up and the one hiding behind her sister came, their round cheeks were pouted and they both glared at him which Fernandez finds cute by the way.

Their skin was extremely white and devoid of blemish, with their glare and pout, they looked exactly like a porcelain doll.

“Bad mister, you can't use big grammar to talk down on mother. Our mummy is very kind and beautiful and she isn't even aware that we came, so don't talk bad about mummy.” They both talked at the same, making Fernandez's heart clenched tightly.

He doesn't know why but seeing them sad makes his heart feel empty and sad. In his heart, he wanted to console them and make them happy.

“Okay I'm sorry angels, I'll not talk bad about your mother again, can you tell me your name please?” Fernandez was still talking to them when a sweating and nervous man appeared.

“Iris and Irene, why do you run off like that? I was very scared. Don't ever do that again, okay?” Fernandez watched as the two kids ran into the arms of the man.

The man was dressed in blue faded jeans and white shirt and a white sneakers. He was young and handsome. He also has green eyes, so Fernandez he's the girl's father and maybe the second girl inherited her mother's eyes.

His hand was on his chest, and he slowly rubbed the part that hurt. He didn't know why it hurt so bad seeing the girls meeting their father.

He couldn't help but think that if Anna hadn't had a miscarriage, their child must also be around the girl's age.

“Okay.” The little angel's voice was low and they had their head down after disengaging from the man's hug. It seems they're admitting to their fault and Fernandez was forced to speak.

“I guess you're their father, they're extremely wise and very thoughtful. So you'll need to be extra careful and monitor them well, what if they happen to meet with bad people while they are left all alone.” Riccardo looked up, his eyes meeting with the owner of the voice. Riccardo's eyes held shock as he stared at Antonio Fernandez.

The shocked expression on his face soon turned into a scowl, how could he not recognize Antonio Fernandez, he's very popular and Anna has shown him his pictures. He was the useless and ungrateful man who destroyed Anna's life.

But what was he doing here? Riccardo finally comes to the conclusion that he must be here because he's heard of Anna's arrival.

“Mister, and who are you to lecture me about how to care for my children? You don't look like someone who had a wife or a child? Do you?” Riccardo spat coldly at Fernandez, with a frown on his face.

Fernandez wasn't expecting what he heard, but fuck, the man words hint at his sore spot and it hurts. It's true that he didn't even have a wife or a child.

“Yes daddy, this bad uncle even talks bad about mummy.” Iris spoke with a glare. Fernandez let out a sigh. It seems he has managed to get on the girl's bad book and he's become a bad uncle.

The gate opened before they opened and a worn out Anna dressed in a simple gown came out, Iris and Irene quickly left Riccardo's arm and dashed straight into Anna's arms. “Mommy!”
