Chapter 41
Chapter 41
As he stood under the shower, Fernandez's mind began to wander back to Anna. He needed something to vent his anger on, and the only thing he could vent his anger on was his possession, Anna. He turned off the shower and changed into a black shirt and a pair of fitted jeans, his movements swift and deliberate. He styled his black hair perfectly, the gel holding every strand in place. He strapped on his limited edition Rolex wristwatch, the silver glinting in the dim light of his room.
He added a splash of his favorite cologne, the scent of bergamot and lavender filling the air. He sat down on his plush couch, the leather creaking softly beneath him. He picked up his phone, his fingers instinctively dancing across the screen. He called his Personal Assistant, Mr. Thompson.
Mr. Thompson picked up at the first ring, his voice crisp and professional. "Good evening, sir."
Fernandez's voice was cold, his tone commanding. "Prepare my flight, I'm going back to Italy."
Mr. Thompson was silent for a moment, maybe shocked and speechless. Then he asked in confusion, "Right now, sir?"
Fernandez rubbed his brow in frustration, his eyes narrowing. Mr. Thompson was getting old, and he needed a new personal assistant. "Employ a new personal assistant and submit your resignation letter!" he barked.
Mr. Thompson knew now that his boss was angry. He quickly apologized, his voice shaking. "I'm sorry, sir. I will get the chopper ready right away."
Fernandez's gaze narrowed. "See that you do. I don't pay you to question me, Thompson. I pay you to follow orders."
"Yes, sir," Mr. Thompson muttered, his voice barely audible.
Fernandez's eyes gleamed with irritation. He knew Mr. Thompson was intimidated, and he liked it that way. He liked being in control.
"I expect the chopper to be ready in an hour," Fernandez said, his voice dripping with menace. "If it's not, Thompson...let's just say you won't be working for me anymore."
Mr. Thompson gulped, his voice trembling. "Yes, sir. It will be ready, sir."

Anna settled on the bed to have a good night sleep as she was tired from all the activities but a pat from Reyna shook away the drowsiness from her eyes.
Reyna facepalmed herself, her eyes rolling in exasperation as she flopped down beside Anna on the plush couch. "Anna, you're such a killjoy! Tonight is Sunday night, and it's not something to miss at Sunite club. It's the hottest spot in town, and everyone who's anyone will be there."
Anna rubbed her eyes, still trying to shake off the fatigue that had been building up all day. She had spent the day lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun and trying to forget about Fernandez and his brooding gaze. But now, as she looked at Reyna's enthusiastic face, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity. "Sunite club?" she repeated, her voice laced with confusion.
Reyna shook her head, her long blonde hair swishing behind her like a golden waterfall. "I can't believe you don't know Sunite club! It's very popular, Anna. I was a VIP there before I left for New York. The music, the lights, the crowd... it's an experience like no other."
Anna's eyes widened as she finally understood what Reyna was asking. "You want to go to a club?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly at the thought of the loud music and crowded dance floor.
Reyna pouted, her full lips jutting out in a sulky expression. "Anna, please! If you don't want to go, just accompany me. I haven't been there in ages, and I want to experience it with you. We can dance the night away and forget about all our worries."
Anna hesitated, her mind racing with doubts. She had never been to a club before, and the thought of it made her nervous. What if she got lost in the crowd? What if she didn't like the music? What if... "But you've been going there by yourself before," she protested, trying to find an excuse to get out of it.
Reyna hugged Anna tightly, her voice whining like a child who wasn't getting her way. "But I want to go there with you! You'll have fun, I promise! And I'll be there to take care of you. We'll stick together like glue, and I'll make sure you have the best time ever."
Anna sighed, her resolve weakening under Reyna's persistence. She looked at Reyna's eager face and saw the excitement shining in her eyes. Maybe, just maybe, this would be an adventure she would never forget. "Okay, fine," she agreed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Reyna squealed in delight, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she jumped up from the couch. "Yay! Let's get ready, Anna! We're going to have the best night ever! I'll show you my favorite dresses, and we can do our hair and makeup together."
Reyna and Anna got ready together, trying on different dresses until they found the perfect ones. Reyna wore a sleek black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, the hemline rising high on her thighs. Anna, on the other hand, wore a red dress that accentuated her porcelain skin, the neckline plunging low to reveal a hint of cleavage.
Reyna did her makeup, adding a bold red lip and smoky eyes that made her look like a supermodel. She then helped Anna with her makeup, adding a natural glow to her cheeks and a subtle shimmer to her eyelids.
Once they were ready, they boarded a sleek black car from the parking lot and left the house. Reyna was behind the wheel, her hands moving confidently over the gears as she navigated the roads. Anna sat beside her, feeling a thrill of excitement as they sped towards the club.
When they arrived at the club, Reyna parked the car in the crowded parking lot and they stepped out into the cool night air. The security guard recognized Reyna immediately, his face breaking into a wide smile as he hailed her. "Reyna! Long time no see! Welcome back to Sunite!"
Reyna shook knuckles with him, her smile flashing bright. "Hey, Mike! Good to see you too. This is my friend Anna."
Mike's eyes widened as he took in Anna's dress, his gaze lingering on her curves before he nodded politely. "Nice to meet you, Anna. You ladies have a great time tonight!"
As they entered the club, the loudly blaring music enveloped them, the beat pulsating through their veins like a living thing. The crowd was thick, a sea of bodies writhing on the dance floor as the DJ spun a hypnotic mix of house and techno.
Meanwhile, back at Antonio's mansion, a certain someone had also arrived. Fernandez stepped out of his car, his eyes scanning the darkened windows of the house as he wondered if Anna was still awake. He had tried to push her out of his mind, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to see her again.
"Mr. Fernandez, welcome back," his butler said, opening the door for him.
Fernandez nodded curtly, his mind already racing ahead to the moment when he would see Anna again.
