Chapter 72

Chapter 72
Reyna's eyes lit up as she entered the living room and saw her father, Rosario Antonio. She quickly moved closer to him, a big smile on her face, and gave him a warm hug. "Daddy, you totally forgot about me, right?" she asked, her voice playful.
Alessandra, seeing the heartwarming moment, couldn't resist joining in. She walked over to the duo and wrapped her arms around them, creating a group hug.
But Reyna, feeling suddenly territorial, quickly disengaged from the hug. "Hey, what's going on here?" she asked, her tone laced with a hint of annoyance.
Alessandra, sensing Reyna's unease, took a step back, her hands still outstretched. "I just wanted to join in on the love," she said, her smile faltering.
Rosario Antonio, sensing the tension, chuckled and placed a hand on each of their shoulders. "Hey, hey, no need to fight over me. There's enough love to go around."
Reyna raised an eyebrow, her expression softening slightly. "I wasn't fighting over you, Daddy. I just didn't know we had company."
Alessandra smiled again, this time more cautiously. "I'm sorry if I intruded. I just wanted to meet you, Reyna."
Reyna's eyes blazed with anger as she turned to her father. "Daddy, I already told you that I don't want to see this girl around me, nor did we want to have anything to do with this girl. And I also know that Alessandra is here again to hatch one or two conspiracies, but I promise, I am not going to spare you this time around," she warned, her voice low and menacing.
Mr. Antonio's eyes widened in alarm as he sensed the danger in Reyna's tone. He quickly changed the subject, turning to Anna with a forced smile. "Anna, dear, where might Fernandez be? I haven't seen him yet."
Anna's eyes darted around the room, caught off guard by the sudden question. She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could say a word, Fernandez walked into the room, his movements slow and deliberate.
He had changed into a crisp white shirt and dark jeans, his hair perfectly styled. But what caught everyone's attention was the fact that he seemed completely oblivious to the guests in the room.
Alessandra, however, didn't seem to notice Fernandez's indifference. She rushed towards him, arms open wide, ready to envelop him in a hug. But before she could reach him, Fernandez moved aside, avoiding her embrace.
Alessandra, however, didn't stop in time. She continued moving forward, her arms outstretched, and suddenly found herself falling flat on her face.
Reyna burst into a fit of laughter, her eyes shining with amusement. "Ha! Look at her, Daddy! She's so clumsy!" she exclaimed, holding her sides.
Mr. Antonio's face turned bright red with embarrassment as he rushed to help Alessandra up. "Oh dear, are you okay? That was quite a fall."
Alessandra's face was red with embarrassment as she stood up, brushing herself off. "I'm fine, thank you," she muttered, her eyes flashing with anger at Fernandez.
Fernandez, however, just shrugged and smiled smugly. "You should watch where you're going," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Here is the expanded dialogue and description:
"Hi, father, when did you suddenly think of coming here?" Fernandez asked, his voice laced with a hint of sarcasm.
Mr. Antonio's expression turned stern, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Don't you think you are such a brat for asking me this question after not being able to see me since all these years?" he replied, his voice firm but with a hint of emotion.
Fernandez looked taken aback by his father's words, but then a small smile played on his lips as he opened his arms, accepting his father's warm embrace. Mr. Antonio hugged him tightly, his eyes closed in relief.
"Miss you, lad." Mr Antonio said amidst the hug.
The Antonio family is finally getting reunited," Alessandra said, her voice filled with emotion, as she watched the father-son reunion.
As they disengaged from the hug, Mr. Antonio and Fernandez headed towards the study room, deep in conversation. Reyna, who had been watching the scene unfold, rolled her eyes and retreated to her own room, leaving the entrance empty.
Anna and Alessandra were left alone in the living room, the silence between them growing thicker by the minute. Alessandra's gaze was fixed on Anna, her eyes scanning her face as if searching for something. Anna, feeling uncomfortable under the intense scrutiny, fidgeted with her hands.
The silence was too much for Anna, and she found a way to break it by asking Alessandra, "Uh, what would you like to eat? Some sandwiches or pasta..."
Alessandra's eyes sparkled with amusement as she replied, "I never got to know you are this beautiful, even beauty itself will be ashamed in front of your beauty." Her voice was low and husky, her words dripping with sincerity.
Anna's cheeks flushed at the unexpected compliment, unsure of how to respond. Alessandra continued to stare at her with an unnerving intensity."Thank you for the compliment," Anna replied, her voice soft and polite, as she smiled graciously at Alessandra. She turned to leave, her long, dark hair swaying gently behind her.
The butler, resplendent in his formal attire, stepped forward to assist with the luggage. "Allow me, sir, madam," he said, his voice deferential, as he expertly lifted the bags and led the way inside.
Mr. Antonio and Alessandra followed the butler upstairs, their footsteps quiet on the plush carpet. After a brief discussion with Fernandez, they were shown to their room, the butler discreetly closing the door behind them.
Anna entered the room, her eyes scanning the room after ensuring everyone had been served lunch except Fernandez who did not show up. Her gaze fell upon Fernandez, hunched over his laptop, his eyes fixed intently on the screen. His dark hair was mussed, and his jaw was set in concentration. As she turned to leave, Fernandez called out to her.
"Anna, wait!" he said, his deep voice commanding attention.
Anna turned back, her eyes meeting Fernandez's. "Yes?" she replied, her voice soft and enquiring.
Fernandez looked up from his laptop, his eyes narrowing slightly as he gazed at Anna. His expression was intense, his jaw still set in concentration. "I need to speak with you," he said, his voice low and serious.
