Chapter 43

Chapter 43
As Jason tried to kiss Anna forcefully, a sudden punch landed on his face, sending his mask flying off. The impact was so strong that it bruised his face instantly. But the powerful man didn't stop there. He continued to pummel Jason's face, each punch landing with precision and force.
The music screeched to a halt as the crowd's attention was drawn to the chaos. Reyna, still swaying to the beat, gasped in shock, her eyes fixed on the powerful stranger. She was too tipsy to recognize him, but she was intimidated. "Who is this guy?" she whispered to herself, her eyes wide with fear and admiration. "He's so good at fighting!"
Anna, on the other hand, was terrified. She shivered like a leaf, her eyes fixed on the stranger's furious face. "P-please stop!" she begged, but he didn't seem to hear her.
The room fell silent, with all eyes on the scene unfolding before them. The powerful man's presence was commanding, his anger palpable. Jason, on the other hand, was crumpling to the ground, his face a mess of blood and bruises me
Jason's laughter echoed through the club, and Antonio Fernandez's eyes flashed with anger. "You think it's funny, huh?" he sneered, his voice low and menacing. "The hero came to save the heroine? Can't believe a big man like you beating someone in public, Antonio Fernandez?"
The crowd gasped, shocked by Jason's audacity. Reyna's eyes widened as she heard her brother's name, and she quickly sobered up. She bit her lip and moved closer to the scene, her heart racing with anxiety. "Oh no, this is not good," she thought, realizing her brother had just walked into a potentially explosive situation.
Fernandez's face darkened, his eyes blazing with fury. "How dare you try to touch my wife with your filthy hands?" he yelled, his voice echoing off the walls. "You're lucky I don't kill you right here!"
Jason smirked, his face already bruising from Fernandez's earlier punches. "I was just having fun with a sexy girl I saw," he taunted, his eyes flicking to Anna.
The manager of the club rushed to the scene, trying to intervene. "Gentlemen, please, let's take this outside. We don't want any trouble in here."
But as soon as he saw Fernandez, he froze. He knew better than to cross the owner of the club. "I-I mean, sir, please, let's just calm down," he stuttered.
Reyna rushed to Anna's side, feeling guilty and stupid. "Anna, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have forced you to come here. This is all my fault."
Anna's panicked expression tore at Reyna's heart. "Reyna, I'm scared," she whispered.
Fernandez's anger boiled over at Jason's words, and he kicked him across the room. Jason crashed into a table, sending glasses shattering. He struggled to stand, but Fernandez was ready to deliver another blow. However, Anna's scream stopped him. "Fernandez, please!"
Fernandez's chest heaved with exertion, his eyes still blazed with fury. "You're lucky she stopped me," he growled at Jason, his deep voice echoing through the club. "Or else you'd be dead by now." He signaled to Mr. Thompson, a subtle nod that spoke volumes.
Before they knew it, several men in black entered the club, their bodies bulging and fit, like trained predators. They grabbed Jason, who struggled and kicked, but was no match for the men's brute strength.
As Jason was dragged out, he shouted, "I know you still love me, darling Anna, aren't I right?" His words hung in the air, a challenge, a taunt. One of the men gave him a slap, and he crumpled to the ground, knocked out cold.
Fernandez stared at Anna, his eyes piercing, like a knife cutting through her soul. She shivered, her eyes downcast, her face pale, like alabaster. Reyna, too, looked pale, her eyes wide with fear, like a deer caught in headlights.
"You lied to me," Fernandez accused, his voice dripping with venom, his words laced with anger. "You told me you didn't love him, but I think you do."
Anna shook her head, tears streaming down her face, like rain. "No, Antonio, I swear...I don't love him," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
But Fernandez wasn't convinced. He turned to Reyna, his eyes blazing, like embers. "And you, you foolish woman. You brought her here, knowing what could happen."
Reyna trembled, her voice barely above a whisper. "I-I'm sorry, Antonio. I didn't mean to cause trouble."
Fernandez's gaze lingered on Reyna, then returned to Anna. "We need to talk," he growled, his voice low and dangerous, like a warning. "Later."
The manager of the club, Mudrock, had already bowed his head in shame, his eyes cast downward in defeat. He knew he had failed to protect the boss's interests, and now he was facing the consequences.
Fernandez glared at him, his eyes blazing with anger. "You are fired!" he barked in a commanding tone, his voice echoing through the club.
Reyna couldn't believe her ears. "Shit," she cursed under her breath, her eyes wide with shock. She had no idea Fernandez was the owner of Sunite, and now she had unwittingly put herself in his crosshairs.
The manager, Mudrock, knew he was lucky to be escaping with just a firing. He could have been dragged out by the men who took Jason away. "Thank you, sir," he shouted hurriedly, backing away from Fernandez before turning and fleeing the club.
Fernandez's gaze lingered on the departing manager before turning to Reyna and Anna. "You two, come with me," he growled, his voice brooking no argument.
Anna hesitated, unsure of what to do, but Reyna took her arm and led her toward Fernandez. As they followed him out of the club, Anna couldn't help but wonder what she had just gotten herself into.
