Chapter 91

Chapter 91
Fernandez clutched the piece of the paper tightly wrinkling it in the process. His head seem light and he couldn't process what he has his heard, his mouth opened in shock after coming to a realization. She has left him because she couldn't leave with a monster.

'Don't ever look for me because you can never find me, I'm gone from you monster' the word kept ringing in his ear as if it's a new found mantra.

"She has left." He muttered loudly and finally regain his senses. His phone, he needed to stop her.

He left the room hurriedly and grabbed his phone lying on the bed.

He made a phone call to Mr. Thompson while his heart was beating uncontrollably loudly.

"Check all the airport traveling out of the countries for Anna and sent as many private investigator out to look for her as soon as possible." His voice trembled as he spoke, as if he's scared or something.

Mr. Thompson could feel the threat and fear in his word at the same time.

"Sir, what happened?" Mr. Thompson asked, wanting to know the cause of his boss's trepidation.

"Anna has left me." Mr. Thompson felt tongue tied.

He let out a breath, "Alright, I'll get to it now."

The phone was cut off and Fernandez contacted Cat immediately. "I want the location of Anna within 24 hours."

Cat decided to joke around with Fernandez not knowing how serious the situation was. "Has she been kidnapped again?"

Fernandez eyes became red at her words and he spoke coldly, "You have less than 20 hours to look for her."

"Yes boss." Cat quickly replied, the sound of the tapping of her keyboard came across the phone.

After hanging up, Fernandez contemplated on who to call to asked of her, she doesn't have any friends other than Reyna.

Yes, Reyna! He has to call her, Anna may have told her something.

The phone rang twice before Reyna answered the call. "You seem to finally remembered that you have a step sister, huh?"

Fernandez looked at the wrinkled paper in her hand and ignoring Reyna's pleasantries, he goes straight to the point. "Do you know where Anna?"

Reyna let out a chuckle as if she's has just heard the word funniest joke. "How can you asked me that question? Is she not at home with you?"

There was a brief silent on Fernandez's end before he finally speak up, his voice trembled letting his vulnerable side show to his step sister.

"I've been an asshole and I've been maltreating her ever since we lost the baby, I've been blaming her for killing our baby and she left me. She left with a note telling me not to look for her and she has left me for good. She called me a monster."

The line went silent, and for a moment, Fernandez thought he'd lost connection. Then, a loud bang echoed through the line, followed by Reyna's anguished cry. "A monster? That word is too innocent to describe you, you are a beast and animal in human flesh. So all this while I called her she's been pretending telling me all is well and you both are good but it's all a lie. I hope you never find her and you die alone. Nothing must happen to her." Reyna let out a whimper and disconnected the call, her words were so emotional that she doesn't know what effect her words had cause on Fernandez.

Fernandez felt choke by her words, was he really a beast? Yes, not only one person called him that but two.

He broke down, shattered completely. He had pushed her away and she's completely gone. Where will he looked for her now?

Reyna's mind reeled as she processed the news – Anna had left Fernandez. She couldn't help but wonder if Anna was safe or if she'd been kidnapped again. But Fernandez had mentioned a note, so it seemed Anna had left willingly.

Reyna's thoughts turned inward, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she was to blame for Anna's departure. If she hadn't left the country, maybe Anna wouldn't have felt so alone and vulnerable to Fernandez's abuse.

She prayed silently, her heart heavy with worry. "Please be safe, Anna."

Reyna's fingers trembled as she dialed Anna's number, but the call went straight to voicemail. The mechanical voice replied, "The number you have dialed is not available."

Mr. Antonio walked into the house, sensing Reyna's distress. He approached her with concern etched on his face. "What's the matter, Reyna?"

Reyna took a deep breath before speaking, her voice barely above a whisper. "Anna's left home, Dad. She left a note saying not to look for her."

Mr. Antonio's expression was a mix of sadness and understanding. He shook his head, his voice laced with disappointment. "If she left a note, she must have left willingly. I hope she's safe."

Reyna's eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't expected her father to be so understanding, almost...approving. "Dad, is that what you're going to say?"

Mr. Antonio shrugged, his expression unapologetic. "What do you expect me to say? Sympathize with Fernandez? No, he had it coming. He pushed her away himself. I hope he's regretting his decision now."

After 16 hours of flight, Anna finally landed safely in a secluded mansion in the English countryside. The sprawling estate was surrounded by lush greenery and a high wall that ensured complete privacy. She was escorted into the mansion, the opulent decor and grand staircase making her feel a mix of awe and trepidation.

As she entered the living room, a familiar face greeted her with a warm smile. His blue eyes sparkled with amusement as he gazed at her. "Long time, finally see," he said, his voice low and smooth.

Anna's eyes locked onto his, and she felt a sense of relief wash over her. "Yes, superstar," she replied, a hint of humor creeping into her voice.

But as she mentioned her pregnancy, his expression turned unreadable. "Do you wish to keep it or terminate the pregnancy?" he asked, his voice neutral, devoid of emotion.

Anna's hand instinctively went to her belly, a sense of protectiveness rising within her. "I haven't decided yet," she replied, her voice firm.
