Chapter 33

Chapter 33
Jason sat on the balcony, surrounded by the city's neon lights, his cigarette smoke curling into the night air. He stared at the wedding photo of Antonio Fernandez and Anna on his phone, his eyes burning with jealousy.
"If only she hadn't caught me with Laila that day," Jason thought, his mind racing with memories of Anna. "I never meant to cheat on her, but Laila was just so tempting."
He remembered the first time he met Anna, her innocence and beauty captivating him. He recalled the time he tried to kiss her, but she turned her cheek, shy and hesitant. "I'm not ready yet, let's wait till the wedding," she had said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jason had laughed it off, but deep down, he was frustrated. He stayed angry with her for two weeks, but Anna apologized and came to his house, begging for forgiveness. He had taken advantage of her kindness, trying to force himself on her. But she had fought back, biting him until he released her.
"I was such a jerk," Jason thought, his eyes narrowing in regret.
But it was Anna who introduced him to Laila, her so-called "good friend." Laila was the one he really wanted, with her seductive charm and beauty.
He remembered the day Laila came to his house, her bag falling to the ground, revealing her bare thighs. He had been hooked, and they had been secretly seeing each other ever since.
Jason's phone rang for the tenth time, and he rejected the call again. Laila was pestering him, asking for money and gifts. He was tired of her, but he couldn't deny the passion they shared.
As he ruffled his hair, he thought of Anna, dressed in that tight red dress the day she caught him with Laila. He licked his lips, remembering how alluring she looked.
"Why did I mess everything up?" Jason thought, his eyes burning with regret. "Anna was the better choice, but I was blinded by lust."
And then there was Anna's drunkard father, who had caught him with Laila and threatened to tell Anna. But Jason had bribed him with money, and he kept quiet.
Jason's eyes flashed with anger, thinking about Antonio Fernandez's hands wrapped around Anna's waist. "How did she end up with him?" he growled to himself.
Just then, his door slammed shut, and Laila walked in, wearing a tight seductive black dress. "Why weren't you answering my calls?" she asked, her voice husky.
Jason scoffed, "I'm just bored of you, Laila. You're too materialistic."
Laila's eyes flashed with anger as she saw the photo on Jason's phone. "You're still obsessed with her, aren't you?" she spat, snatching the phone from him.
Jason's eyes locked onto Laila's, his jaw clenched in anger. "Give me back my phone, Laila."
Laila sneered, "You're still in love with Anna, aren't you? After all I did for you, you're still pining for that innocent little girl."
Jason's face twisted in a mix of emotions, "Shut up, Laila. You don't know anything."
Laila's laughter was cold and menacing, "Oh, I know everything. I know you're jealous of Antonio Fernandez, and you're regretting losing Anna."
Laila's eyes blazed with fury as she snatched the phone from Jason's hand, her long nails scraping against his skin. "You're still obsessed with her, aren't you?" she spat, her voice venomous. "No matter how much you become obsessed with her, I bet she wouldn't even look at your shoe, not to talk of you. Do you know who her husband is? He's the richest man in the country, and you're nothing compared to him."
Jason's face twisted in anger, his jaw clenched, but Laila cut him off before he could speak. "If only I hadn't met you, maybe I would have been the one in Anna's shoes," she taunted, her voice dripping with malice. "Anna is really lucky; she gets to use limited edition things and have servants at her beck and call. You're just a pathetic loser, Jason."
Jason's eyes flashed with fury as he moved closer to Laila, his hand wrapping around her neck like a vice. "You think you're better than me?" he growled, his teeth gritted. "I'm not the only one who regrets what happened. I regret getting laid with you, you big-time slut. You're nothing but a cheap thrill."
Laila struggled, her eyes wide with fear, as Jason's grip tightened. She was out of breath, her face turning red, her lips parted in a silent scream. Jason's eyes grew darker, his obsession consuming him. "I'll snatch Anna back from Antonio Fernandez," he spat coldly. "She loves me, and she only married him because she was angry with me. I'll make her mine, no matter what it takes."
With a final squeeze, Jason released Laila, who fell to the floor, gasping for air. She stumbled to her feet, her eyes blazing with anger. "You've gone mad!" she shouted, backing away from Jason. "I'm out of here! You're not worth my time!"
As Laila ran from the house, Jason smiled, his eyes fixed on Anna's picture. "I vow to make her mine," he whispered, his voice dripping with obsession. "No matter what it takes."
Anna and Antonio Fernandez stepped into their grand foyer, the tension between them palpable. Antonio's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on Anna as if daring her to escape his sight. His possessiveness was suffocating, and Anna felt like a prisoner in her own home.
"Antonio, what's wrong?" Anna asked, her voice calm and measured. She didn't want to fuel his anger, not when he was already simmering like a pot about to boil over.
"Nothing," Fernandez growled, his deep voice low and menacing. "Just remember, you're mine now. You belong to me."
Anna's heart sank, her mind racing with the implications. She had told him repeatedly that she didn't have anything to do with Jason, but he refused to believe her.
"Fernandez, please," Anna said, her hands raised in a placating gesture. "I've told you the truth. I don't know why you're acting like this."
Fernadez's eyes flashed with anger, his jaw clenched. "Don't lie to me, Anna. I know what I saw. Those love letters, the flowers... it's all too familiar."
Anna's eyes widened, realization dawning on her. "You're still thinking about Jason, aren't you? But why? You don't love me, Antonio. You only married me for convenience."
Fernadez's face twisted, his expression dark and foreboding. "Shut up, Anna. You don't know what you're talking about."
The air was thick with tension as Antonio's eyes bore into Anna's soul. She felt trapped, suffocated by his possessiveness and jealousy. She knew she had to tread carefully, or risk unleashing Antonio's wrath.
