Chapter 112

Rico slowly looked up from the screen and smiled at Zeno.

"It must have taken you a lot to bring my cheap back to me, Ezra," Rico stood from the chair and walked toward Zeno.

"Looks like your job is quite dangerous; got shot?" Rico raised his hand to touch Zeno's dressed wound.

"Stop it, Dad, Sebastian wouldn't want him to get hurt," Ezra said and held Rico's hand.

Zenobwas still looking very confused; he didn't even know how to respond to all of this.

"Ezra, Rico is your father?" Zeno questioned with a slight frown.

Ezra nodded, "Yes, Zeno. This is My father, Rico; it's not just me who's friends with Sebastian; my father's friends with his father, too; you can just call us family friends," He explained.

Zeno remained quiet, forcing the information to make sense in his head. "Okay, how come I never saw you around here when I boxed here?" He looked at Ezra suspiciously.

Ezra smiled, "I did see you, you've just never seen me, or should I say, you never noticed me. I bet on you, every time," He replied.

Rico smiled, "He did, he even said-"

"Dad," Ezra gave Rico a warning look.

"Come on, son, it's nothing to hide; he's with Sebastian now; that's what you told me, right?" Rico laughed in his carefree manner and tapped Ezra's shoulder.

"He is, still it's not something important for him to know," Ezra defended.

"I want to know," Zeno stated firmly; he needed to know whatever there was to know, a lot of secrets were already surrounding him, and he needed to know any little information he came across.

"See? The boy wants to know," Rico smiled at Ezra.

Ezra sighed, "It's really nothing, Zeno; my father is just making things up," Ezra shook his head and was about to walk out of the office. Rico's voice stopped him.

"How do you explain his posters in your car?" Rico said with a smirk.

Zeno narrowed his eyes at Ezra as he slowly turned to look at him.

"What does he mean by my posters?" Zeno questioned.

Ezra sighed and muttered a curse before speaking, "Nice one, Dad, nice," He ran his fingers over his hair before facing Zeno.

"I did have feelings for you," Ezra looked a little embarrassed as he confessed it to Zeno.

Zeno widened his eyes at Ezra, disbelief clouding them, this had to be some kind of joke.

How come he never noticed? Ezra was always so calm and collected; he never for once showed any sign of being interested in him. Today might just be the day he discovered some serious secrets about everyone around him.

"You see, son, it wasn't that hard," Rico said, chuckling.

Ezra huffed, "But it was in the case, Zeno, you're with Sebastian now, and I know better than to harbor such feelings towards you; I just hope this doesn't make you feel uncomfortable," He smiled nervously.

On the contrary, Zeno found it funny, he never knew Ezra had this kind of flustered side to him.

"It's fine, Ezra. I'd be irrational to get mad at you," Zeno replied.

Rico was smiling as he watched them talk. He knew his son was always shy when it came to this kind of thing; that's why he was still single at twenty-eight.

"Are you considering coming back to make me more money, Zeno?" Rico asked, taking Zeno's hand and leading him out of the office, leaving Ezra behind.

"Um, no, I don't think I'll be returning any time soon; my job contract with Sebastian isn't over yet," Zeno replied as Rico led him toward the ring to watch the people practicing.

"Well, even if it's over, given your status with him, would you still come back to us? You've seen what we have now," Rico paused and pointed to the ring.

"Don't worry, it won't be as a boxer, as a coach, and the pay will definitely be more reasonable than the last time," Rico assured.

"He won't come back, Dad. Even if he wanted, Sebastian won't let him, do you know how possessive that man is over Zeno?" Ezra approached them from behind and stood beside Zeno.

Zeno sighed, "Being in a relationship doesn't mean someone has to stop doing what they love, Ezra, and I believe Sebastian is reasonable enough to understand that,"

Ezar chuckled, "Mm, we'll see." He smirked at Zeno.

"Oh my God! Zeno!" Zeno heard the familiar female voice behind her and turned.

He saw someone flying toward him and before he could dodge or tell her to stop, Anna jumped excitedly at him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Oh, damn!" Zeno fell to the floor with Anna, groaning.

"Fuck, Anna, just shoot me twice already," He grunted.

Anna quickly got off him; her eyes filled with concern as she stared down at Zeno's wounded arm.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry, I didn't see it; instead, oh no, what have I done to me, Zeno?" She tried to help him up but Ezra gently pushed her aside and helped Zeno up.

"You alright?" He asked, hiding the panic he felt in his chest.

Sebastian wouldn't waste time to shoot his arm, too, if the wound dared to reopen. He was asked to heal Zeno, yet he had done the opposite of healing.

Zeno winced and nodded, "I'll be fine, it's just a little graze," He replied.

Anna was looking so sad, she walked over to his good arm and hugged his arm, "I'm sorry, Zeno, I was just too excited to see you again, I didn't look well to notice your arm," She apologized.

"It's fine, Anna, it doesn't hurt that much anymore," He assured.

"What's going on here?" Sebastian's chilling voice sounded behind them, putting everyone on edge.

"Just great," Ezra muttered and turned to face Sebastian.

Zeno knew he was in for another trouble with Sebastian. He's been caught, red-handed.

"Good evening, Boss," Rico greeted with a slight bow of the head.

"Good evening, Boss," Anna greeted too, knowing her head.

Zeno thought it was just out of respect, but he noticed everyone in the boxing ring pause their practice and bow their head to Sebastian.

What the fuck was that supposed to mean?

"Ezra, is this some form of treatment too?" Sebastian asked as he slowly walked toward Ezra, pausing in front of him.

Ezra sighed, "I'm sorry, I know how I'm wrong; I just wanted to bring him out to look around; you know how boring your house is," He chuckled at the last words.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes at him, "I'm glad you find this funny, Ezra. You're really lucky nothing happened to him; maybe I should have just taken him with me," He pushed Ezra out of the way and moved toward Zeno, who was looking around as if he was unaware of his presence.

"You can at least own up to your mistake, Zeno. Are you ignoring me?" Sebastian's voice was low, his eyes Angry as he stared at Zeno.

Zeno bit his lips and turned his face to him, "You don't really have to be this angry, we've just arrived here, he wanted to come see his father so he-"

"Oh no, boss, I didn't invite them; it was him; he decided to bring your boyfriend to tour your boxing arena," Rico said and shook his head, giving Ezra a betraying smile.

"Dad, really?" Ezra facepalmed.

"Boyfriend? Zeno- I'm sorry," Anna immediately shut her mouth when she saw Sebastian look at her with darkened eyes.

Zeno frowned, "Is it true? You own this place?" That was the only thing Zeno made out of what Rico said.

He was looking at Sebastian for an explanation; he bow understood why everyone went quiet the moment he walked in. Sebastian was their boss, it was only natural they respected him greatly.

"Let's go," Sebastian ignored Zeno's question and was about to grab his arm but paused when he saw blood staining through the dressed wound.

He snapped his head to Ezra and asked, "What the fuck is this? Ezra?" Sebastian asked slowly, pointing down at Zeno's arm.

Everyone was surprised because it wasn't stained a few seconds ago.

Ezra muttered a curse and rubbed his face; maybe he should have just stayed at Sebastian's hoke with Zeno; now he had to deal with a crazy and possessive boyfriend.

Anna was beside herself with fear; she knew it was over for her when Sebastian learned she had caused it.

She was about to own it up when Zeno stopped her by saying, "It's not Ezra's fault, I slammed my hand on the wall as I tripped while walking in,"

Sebastian remained quiet. He was really angry and disappointed at Zeno, but he was learning to control his temper with Zeno; he didn't want any form of distance between them.

"If you stayed home you wouldn't have slipped," He replied in a flat tone.

"We're leaving," He said and started walking away.

"I've got to go...see you later, Anna, Rico. Thanks for today, Ezra; I'll watch the flash as you asked," He said to them before walking behind Sebastian.

"Bye, Zeno," Anna said in a small voice.

Ezra sighed as he watched them leave; he really hoped he hadn't caused trouble for the couple.
