Chapter 155
Sebastian was anxious as the elevator slid open; this time, there was a grand entrance of darkness. The place was still brightly lit, and Sebastian marched forward and searched the whole place with his eyes.
His men were already surrounding the place, still holding Bison's men captive.
"It's not going to work this way," Bison's voice sounded from the stairs at a corner.
Sebastian immediately snapped his head toward him and saw him walking down with no Zeno in sight.
He was about to ask about him when he saw a huge, tall guy carrying Zeno over his shoulder and slowly walking behind Bison.
Sebastian remained calm, he knew that showing how anxious he was would let Bison take advantage of him.
"You have my men, you're armed, and I'm outnumbered; how do you think I'll trust you, Sebastian?" Bison walked halfway to Sebastian and stopped.
"You'd be a fool to trust me, Bison... let's make this quick," Sebastian stretched his hand to Nicholas, who landed him the pen.
"Tsk, had I known the bastard was with the pen, I'd have easily collected it from him; what a waste of time," Bison scowled at Nicholas.
Nicholas scoffed, "That's why you're an old man, you're brain is doomed to fail you," He smirked.
"Bastard," Bison cursed.
"Soon, Bison, I'll be a Bastard soon, and I'll be more than happy to make myself a bastard," Nicholas replied scornfully.
"Bring Zeno to me, Bison, and I'll give you the pen," Sebastian told him.
Bison laughed, shaking his head.
"You said it yourself, I'd be a fool to trust you. Why do you think I would agree to such a stupid request?" Bison raised a brow, looking around the room at his men who were kneeling in front of Sebastian's bodyguards.
He signaled for the tall guy behind him to come forward and drop Zeno on the floor in front of him.
Sebastian watched as the guy placed Zeno on the floor and proceeded to point a gun to his head.
"How about you release my men, be a good boy, and hand one of them the pen while you're at it," Bison crossed his hands across his chest, watching Sebastian.
Sebastian chuckled, and he slowly nodded. "Then, we'll be taking our leave; you can do whatever you want to Zeno; he's not as important as you think," He waved his hand to his men and slowly stared back away.
"I guess we could reach an agreement, Mr. Sebastian... you know ow how important that pen is to me... it's my career, my reputation, my life," Bison cleared his throat, taking a step forward.
"Stay where you are," Sebastian said, halting Bison.
"Your men are going to be returned to you, and your big guy is going to carry Zeno out, right in front of me, when I'm sure that he's safe in the car, I'll return your pen to him, I give e you my word, I have no plans of killing him," Sebastian signaled to his men and they immediately released Bison's men and allowed them to walk over to him.
Sebastian knew the men were already stripped of all their arms, so they were basically useless at the moment; they couldn't possibly do them any harm.
"You've got your men, ask your guy to bring him over," Sebastian ordered.
His men were ready to fire any second, their guns were not for once lowered.
"Take him to them," Baiom ordered.
"Yes, boss," The big guy bowed.
"No," Sebastian said.
Buson frowned, "No? You don't want your boyfrinack?" He asked, a little confused.
"Ask your guy to disarm," Sebastian requested.
The big guy stared at Bison who slowly nodded, "This is to show you that I really do need that pen, Sebastian. And I must warn you, I fear no one, letting me live is a mistake; if I were you, I would kill myself here and now. But, it seems like you're a coward like your father. I'm making you this promise, kill me now, or be ready for my comeback, Sebastian Orion," Bison warned darkly.
"I'm glad you recognize that you've failed, Bison, if I defeated you, I'll defeat you again, again, and again. Killing you once is no fun. Now, big guy, disarm," He ordered.
The bug guy's face was hardened as he dropped the gun beside him; he took a few more out and placed them down, too.
"Kick them over," Sebastian commanded.
He did, and one of Sebastian's men immediately picked the guns up, holding them.
The big guy proceeded to lift Zeno on his shoulder and stared, walking toward Sebastian.
"Keep to your word, Sebastian, make sure you don't let me live next time, I hate cowards," Bison mocked.
Sebastian smirked at him, "Trust me, I never disappoint." He replied.
"You go first, big guy," Sebastian pointed the big guy to the door; he wanted to make sure his eyes never left Zeno again, even though it was getting closer to the time for his second disaster, but he was going to go through it, regardless.
"See you later, son. Next time, it'll be my bullet going through your head," Bison said as Nicholas turned to walk away with Sebastian.
"Rot on hell," Nicholas replied without even sparing Bison a second look; there was no need for that; from this moment, he was going to forget everything about him.
Nicholas decided that he was going to leave the country after the whole drama. He needed a new start; he was going to leave behind everything and everyone. A quiet and peaceful life seemed more welcoming to him now; he'd seen enough of the mafia life.
Sebastian's men trooped behind him, making sure nothing went wrong; as they neared the gate, Sebastian could already see the car waiting for him; Ezra was sitting anxiously on the driver's seat, steaming the engine and ready to move.
Cody hurried over and opened the back seat for the big guy, who placed Zeno inside the car.
He immediately turned and faced Sebastian, "Give me the pen, Mr. Sebastian," The big guy asked.
Sebastian looked around, making sure all his men were out of that place.
"Tell your boss that I never fail to keep to my word; best of luck, big guy. We'll probably never meet again," Sebastian dropped the pen into the big guy's and stepped away from him.
"Let him pass," Sebastian ordered his men that were surrounding the big guy.
As the big guy walked back to the gates, it slowly slid closed, giving everyone a sense of an ending to their turmoil.
"We have to get him to the hospital," Sebastian said and walked over to enter the car.
Nicholas held Sebastian's hand, stopping him. "You really just gave him the pen?" He asked, disappointment flashing across his eyes.
Ezra sighed, "I'm wondering why, too. Why did you have to put yourself in so much trouble if you were going to give in to him in the first place?" He questioned.
Sebastian's watch suddenly started to beep, he raised it to his face and showed it to his friends, smiling, "Countdown with me," he asked them.
They looked at each other in confusion but joined Sebastian to Countdown, "Five, four, three, two, one..."
Boom!!!
The ground shook with shockwaves and the gate flew off its hinges; the bodyguards were surprised by the sudden explosion, and they all stepped back, shock in their eyes as they stared at the supposed new factory now burning down in a massive fire.
"Wow..." Ezra said, his mouth opened in surprise.
"Yeah... awesome," Nicholas smirked.
"For someone who just lost his father, I'd say you're sadistic," Sebastian smirked at Nicholas.
Nicholas chuckled, "Fuck him, man; how did you do that?" He slapped Sebastian's shoulder
"You had us fooled, I almost lost my mind trying to figure out why you easily gave Bison the pen," Ezra was still surprised.
"Well, that pen might just be one of the world's deadliest weapons; once Bison pressed it down to listen to the recording or fixed it in a computer to watch the videos, it'll trigger off the bomb. I connected the timer to my watch, and you, my dear friend, helped me countdown to your father's demise," He patted Nicholas's arm.
"And that was the best fuvking feeling in the whole world," He smiled.
Ezra watched Nicholas closely, wondering if he was really okay with what had happened, Biosn was this father at the end of the day, but he wasn't going to mention it to him, ever. Nicholas already hated him, he didn't want to create more conflicts between them.
"We need to attend to Zeno, we don't know how bad his condition is," Ezra said, looking at Sebastian as if he knew something only he and Sebastian knew.
"You take Nicholas, too, make sure they're okay... I have to deal with something," Sebastian said and spared a shirt glance at Zeno before walking off to a separate car.
Ezra sighed, "Get in, Nicholas, you look quite bad yourself," He said.
Nicholas felt like something was about to go wrong, his gut told him so. He just hoped everything and everyone would be happy in the end.
