Chapter 215
It's been two hours since the exchange of rings.
The clear water was nearby, guests were sipping on mango mimosas and lavender-infused cocktails.
Every detail, from the monogrammed coconut shells holding chilled towels to the scented mist fans perfuming the air with sandalwood and citrus, whispered one thing: This was no ordinary wedding. This was Zeno and Sebastian's world—wild, rare, and luxuriously untamed.
"We're married," Sebastian whispered to Zeno as they stood between both of their parents, cameras flashing.
Zeno smiled, "We are, what do you have for me tonight?" His hand, around Sebastian's, gently squeezed Sebastian's bicep.
Sebastian softly cleared his throat, forcing his body not to react to Zeno's naughtiness.
"Just a few more hours, kids. Patience..." Mrs. Orion narrowed her eyes at them.
Zeno blushed, looking away from Sebastian.
"I know, Madre... It's just hard to keep cool when I've got the cutest..." he leaned in and kissed Zeno, "Hottest man as mine," He whispered the rest against Zeno's lips.
Zeno's cheeks flushed, his hand tightening around Sebastian's arm in embarrassment, "Stop it." He whispered.
Sebastian smirked, "There'll be no stopping tonight, my love," He kissed Zeno's forehead.
"Oh gosh, I think we're done with these two, let's give them some privacy," Mrs. Orion sighed insufferably and held Irene's hand.
"Yes. We'd better go and greet the guests," They nodded at their husbands and walked away.
They had managed to drag the couple away from the swarming guests who threatened to suffocate them with wishes and gifts, and now that they were done with pictures, they needed to go speak to the guests so they didn't feel left out even though everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves to the fullest.
Mr. Evander sighed and looked at Mr. Orion, "This is still weird, right?" He asked in a low tone.
Mr. Orion was about to answer but paused when he saw the look Sebastian was giving him, "Not for me. I'm one hundred percent fine with everything that's happening. Do you think this is weird, Evander?" He asked loudly, letting Sebastian and Zeno know that he supported them a hundred percent.
Zeno frowned, "You think this is weird, Dad?" He questioned his father.
Mr. Evander chuckled nervously, "Who? What? I never said that... Orion just loves to make bad jokes," He smiled and kissed Zeno's head.
"I love you, son, and your husband, too. I couldn't have wished for anyone else for you. He's your other half," He placed a firm hand on each of their shoulders.
"Me, too, sons. I'm proud of how far both of you have come, and I apologize once again for making your relationship hard every once in a while. I pray your union lasts till eternity," Mr. Orion wished.
Sebastian smiled, "Thanks, Father. You've long been forgiven," He hugged Mr. Orion, feeling extremely happy.
This was the family he wanted, he finally got it.
"We'll be over there, attending to guests, no... drinking actually. I've got no business with these people. Are you in?" Mr. Orion asked Mr. Evander.
"Sure," Mr. Evander replied, nodded at Zeno, and walked away with Sebastian's father.
Zeno sighed, "You think they'll be fine?" He asked Sebastian.
"They'll be f-"
"Congratulations, Mr. And Mr -"
"What are you doing here?" Zeno frowned, glaring at the person, who had suddenly appeared in front of them.
"Boss, I'm sorry. I tried to stop him, but he refused, and I didn't want to cause a scene today," Ida bowed his head in apology.
"We're sorry, boss. We're awaiting your order," Andre said beside Ida.
Sebastian slowly shook his head, "You're here without an invitation, Leon. Let him. Just keep an eye on him," He said and led Zeno away.
"You can't follow them around, Mr. Leon," Andre blocked Leon's path.
Leon chuckled, "Relax, handsome. I'm not here for trouble. By the way, I've been misunderstood by everyone," He said.
Leon didn't respond, he exchanged a look with Ida and nodded.
"Please, Mr. Leon, follow me; I'll show you to a table," Ida politely pointed with his hand forward, waiting for Leon to move.
Andre sighed as Leon followed Ida away; he was getting tired and irritated; he'd been on his feet since morning, and he wasn't even the groom; he was starting to feel a splitting headache.
He looked to his left, to the quiet and deserted side of the beach, which was by the side of the resort building, and not many people went that way; everyone was right here, where the wedding was going on.
He quietly walked away, hoping no one needed his services anytime soon.
He made it out, sighing in relief as he successfully reached behind the large resort building, staring tiredly into the vast ocean that stretched in front of him, the waves, a sweet Melody to his tired soul.
He leaned his back on the wall and closed his eyes, tuning out the music and chatter from the wedding and enjoying the sounds of the waves.
"Hi," Someone spoke beside him.
Andre balled his fists in irritation.
"What do you want, Mr. Leon?" He asked, slowly opening his eyes to look at Leon who had appeared beside him.
"Chill, handsome. I'm here to explain myself," Leon said, walking past Andre to lean on the wall beside him.
Andre sighed, "Listen, I'm sure you've figured that I want some time alone, and also don't want to speak with you. I'm not the person you wronged, and fortunately, the people you wronged want nothing to do with you." He stated.
Leon chuckled, "I know. But, I know you'll help me clear my name with Zeno. I really did like him back then," He said.
"He won't listen," Andre replied.
"You don't know that," Leon persisted.
Andre suddenly narrowed his eyes, frowning, "Don't tell me you're here to try and win Zeno's love back. If yes..." He paused and chuckled, "Then go ahead, this time, the boss won't miss his shot; he's been dying to kill you, trust me." He told Leon.
Leon smiled, "I like your humor, and I like you." He smirked.
Andre didn't react, he simply regarded Leon with a bored look, waiting for him to say what he wanted to say.
"Anyways, that's not why I'm here. I'm actually the reason why this wedding can happen today. Back then, I never intended to harm Zeno. I just did that because I knew Sebastian would come for him," he explained.
"Both of them were avoiding themselves; Zeno kept lying to himself that he was over Sebastian and wanted to give me a chance but I knew he still loved Sebastian. So, I did what I did to get them back together, and here they are." He smiled sadly.
"Although I did wish that Zeno might actually mean what he said and come back to me, I figured that was an illusion. They're right behind us, looking the happiest they've ever looked. So, you see? I'm just here for peace talk and..." He raised his hand to Andre's face but his hand got pinned to the wall.
"I'd advise you not to approach me, Mr. Leon. Not liking you is a valid reason, but, you're also genuinely not my type. Really, don't take this as me playing hard to get, I really don't like your kind of person," Andre warned and stepped away from Leon.
Leon smiled, "A top. That's intriguing. I'm sure you've heard of Ezra's and Nicholas's story, that could be us, you know?" He teased.
Andre sighed, "You're here for the wedding; go look around, you might find someone willing before the day ends," he suggested.
"You know? I also wanted to confirm if you liked girls or guys, I think you like guys -"
"I like both, Mr. Leon. Fortunately, you're not one of them," He took a step away from Leon, his headache returning.
Leon laughed lightly, "I'm patient, Andre. I'll wait." He said, smiled at Andre, and walked away.
Andre released a long sigh, "So annoying." He raked his hair and decided to return to the wedding party.
Sebastian and Zeno must be about to leave, they were travelling tonight.
Leon had not taken two steps out from behind the building when someone collided into him, his white suit instantly stained with red wine as the person fell butt-first on the shiny sand.
"Damn! You must be fucking blind!" Andre glared at the person on the floor.
He was taken aback when he was met with a pair of striking silver eyes glaring right back at him; short, dark, curly hair tossed by the wind with an unbuttoned white shirt and emerald green suit that screamed money.
His face looked young, way too young to hold alcohol, but his body looked mature. Must be one of those rich kids whose only job was to drink protein shakes and post on Instagram.
Andre sighed. There was no need to get upset at a child.
"Come on, I'll help you up," He extended his hand to the guy on the ground.
The young guy took Andre's hand and stood up from the ground.
Andre immediately bent over and picked up the now-empty glass that was lying on the floor.
"Here, just watch your steps next time, " He stretched his hand, holding the glass out to the guy.
However, Andre was shocked when he only received a condescending and disgusted look from the stranger.
"Fuck off," the guy said and walked away, ignoring Andre and the glass.
Andre blinked in disbelief, a dry chuckle leaving his lips. He stared at his stained suit, the empty glass in his hand, and he also remembered how he had helped the idiot up.
"Then, so be it," He muttered and threw the glass to the ground.
With three quick steps, he grabbed the stranger's arm and twisted him around to face him.
Before the stranger could properly form eye contact with Andre, a heavy fist met the side of his lip, and blood immediately ran down the side of his jaw.
"Fuck! Are you crazy?!" The guy asked, staggering back with unsteady feet.
Andre shut his eyes and smiled in satisfaction, "Yes." He opened his eyes and smirked at the guy, who now had a bleeding lip.
"It's called manners, kid, manners," Andre said and turned away from the guy, returning to the wedding with his suit now held in his hand.
