Chapter 65

In the bodyguards' quarters, Ida was walking toward his room that night when he noticed someone following him behind.

He paused and turned, only for him to see Cody slowly trailing behind him.

He wanted to run to him out of excitement and tell him how the mission went, but he remembered he wasn't allowed to act extra with him anymore.

He slowly turned and continued walking toward his room.

He knew Cody was still following him but he refused to look at him.

He was unlocking his door when he suddenly heard Cody's voice behind him.

"Hi. Ida," Cody said quietly.

Ida unlocked his door before turning to look at Cody. "Hey, Cody, what's up?" He asked casually.

Cody noticed how casually Ida was sounding toward him and a part of his heart hurt.

Before, Ida would have dragged him by his arm and into his room, telling him everything that happened in the mission, and would proceed to make love to him. But right now, he was looking at him with unfamiliar eyes.

Cody bit his lip and looked up at Ida, "I'm fine. How was the mission?" He asked, curious to know everything Ida did at the club."

Ida shrugged, "Just so-so. Goodnight, Cody. See you around tomorrow," Ida nodded at him, turned, and walked into his room.

He was about to shut his door when Cody held it with his hands.

"Um, can I help you with something?" Ida asked with a straight face.

"Can I come in?" He asked, staring into Ida's eyes.

Ids was taken aback. He never expected Cody to ever ask him that kind of question anymore, "Well, I thought you said-"

"As a friend, of course...or, are your friends no longer allowed to come in and sleep over?"

Ida widened his eyes, "Sleepover?" He was in disbelief, was Cody setting a trap for him?

Cody shrugged, "You never complained in the past."

Ida opened and closed his mouth, thinking of the proper reply, "Things have changed now, Cody..." He sighed.

"So, you lied when you said we'll be friends right?" Cody questioned further, a little frown on his beautiful face.

Ida closed his eyes for a second before he slowly opened his door wider and stepped out of the way, "Make yourself at home." He said in a defeated tone and walked into his room.

Cody smirked as he followed Ida into his room, locking the door as he did.

He was standing beside Ida's bed, watching him as he took everything he'd be needing after showering, Cody realized that Ida wasn't going to remove his clothes in front of him like he used to.

He watched him as he entered his bathroom without saying a word to him.

He felt heavily neglected; Ida had never been this nonchalant toward him, somehow, it hurt.

He was losing his best friend and the person he loved, all because of his cowardice. He couldn't own up to his damn feelings.

Ida stepped out of the bathroom, completely dressed in black shorts and a white shirt.

He paused when he saw Cody lying on his side of the bed. Cody already had a side he preferred to sleep in, so why was he suddenly lying on his side?

He picked up his phone and walked over to the other side of the bed, ignoring Cody.

Cody watched Ida get into bed without even mentioning the sleeping position, he had wanted to see if that would make him speak to him, but it failed.

Ida was busy on his phone when he felt Cody crawl to his side and sit down beside him, resting his back on the headboard.

He refused to look at him and continued what he was doing on his phone.

He suddenly heard Cody release a long and heavy sigh beside him.

He placed his phone beside him and finally turned to Cody, "What's the problem, Cody?"

Cody didn't speak, he just stared at Ida's face without blinking.

"Um...okay, have a good night then," Ida nodded at him and was about to turn away from him.

However, Cody caught his arm and forced his face back to him. He narrowed his eyes on Ida's lips, "What happened to your lips?" He asked with a frown.

Ida furrowed his brows in confusion but he suddenly remembered that Sebastian had punched his lips.

"It's nothing; it'll be gone before morning," he tried to remove his arm from Cody's hold but it was impossible.

"Cody..." He called softly, begging him with his eyes to release him.

Cody raised a brow at him, "So you weren't planning to tell me you were hurt if I hadn't found out, right?" He sounded angry but mostly concerned.

He raised his hand to Ida's face and wanted to touch his lips but Ida caught his arm and moved away from him.

Ida sighed, "You're not my boyfriend, Cody. I don't owe you a daily report of my life. Goodnight." He polity replied and turned away from him, lying down.

Cody felt a sharp pain pierce his heart; Ida had never been this mean to him. But he guessed he deserved it; he was the one who wanted this in the first place, and he'd accept it with good fate.

He slowly lowered himself on the bed, facing Ida's back, "Good night, Ida."

Ida was half awake when he felt someone's body pressing against his front and out of habit, he stretched his hand and drew the person closer to himself.

He sighed blissfully as he felt the familiar body in his hands.

It's been so long since he felt it.

He'd craved it, missed it.

He let his hand wander beneath the person's shirt, growling lowly when he felt the smooth-toned abs.

Cody, who was waking up from sleep softly gasped when he felt Ida's fingers tracing along his waistline.

He was already breathing heavily even though Ida hadn't done anything to him.

"Ida..." He called softly.

But he didn't get a response.

He knew Ida was still half asleep, and he wasn't planning to wake him up; if this was the only time he was going to get touched by Ida then he was going to savor every moment of it.

He pressed his back closer to Ida's arousal and sighed softly.

How he wished Ida would just pull his pants down and fuck him like he used to.

Ida groaned in response to Cody pressing his ass against his arousal.
