Chapter 152
"Bison, you have less than an hour to release my bodyguard," Sebastian seethed.
Bison's chuckle sounded through the phone, "Aww, how sweet. You don't have to hide it from me, I know he's your dirty little secret," He laughed.
Sebastian gritted his teeth; this was one of his reasons for not announcing their relationship; his enemies were all waiting for his weakness to attack him with him.
Now, his fear was coming through, "What do you want, Bison?" Sebastian asked, balling his fists.
"Ah, you see, I thought I was going to speak to my son, but it's okay, I can tell you. Sebastian Orion, you know what I want. Eleven in the morning, the location I sent, only Nicholas should come with the pen, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about," Bison informed and ended the call.
"Mother fucker!" Sebastian growled.
Zeno regained consciousness but took his time to move. He quietly assessed his situation; as expected, his wrists were chained behind him, and his ankles were also bound.
Contrary to what he had anticipated, he wasn't sitting in a chair. Instead, he was lying on a very cold floor.
His back ached, making him wonder how long he had been in that uncomfortable position.
He felt no reflection in his closed lids, which told him that he was either in a poorly dimmed-lighted room or a very dark room; he didn't hear anyone either, asking him to believe he was either alone or was quietly being watched.
He decided to open his eyes and that's when he saw that the room was truly dark, but the door was opened, leading to another room that was properly lighted.
He blinked and tried to focus his vision inside the room but he still didn't find anyone in there.
He sighed and slowly tried to lift himself in a sitting position but he failed on his first try. He tried again, rolling himself to the cold wall and placing his shoulder on it, grunting as he used his core power to lift himself to a sitting position.
He groaned quietly when his hands ached; the chain was very tight around his wrists, causing him to be his lips to stop himself from groaning and alerting the people who might be in the other room.
However, his efforts went in vain, he soon heard footsteps approaching his room.
He knew it was inevitable; he only hoped he wouldn't end up losing his life. He stared at the door in antic, waiting to see who was going to emerge through it.
He instantly recognized the figure of the man standing in front of the door, even in darkness, he would know Bison. The light from the other room made his shadow slide into the room, stopping right in front of Zeno.
"You're awake," Bison said.
Zeno didn't respond; he kept his eyes on Bison as he walked into the room; there was no need to converse with this kind of man; he was all about manipulation and evil, and there was never going to be any good from speaking with Bison.
He blamed himself for his situation, he was the fool for believing Bison blindly without speaking to Sebastian, and now, he wasn't even sure if Sebastian would bother to search for him after discovering his involvement with Bison; Sebastian might even think that his disappearance was still part of the plan with Bison.
Zeno felt helpless; he wished his parent had never gotten in that accident in the first place; he would never have been in any of this condition, but he wouldn't also have met Sebastian; meeting Sebastian was a part of his journey which he would never regret.
If he was ever going to leave Sebastian, he wouldn't want to leave him with resentment; he wanted to have a chance to explain everything to him; at least, Sebastian would know that he had never betrayed him, not even for once.
The light suddenly went on in the room, causing Zeno to narrow his eyes. He saw Bison standing in front of him, his foot slowly tapping on the floor.
"You've chosen not to speak to me?" Bison asked.
Zeno frowned, "There was no need, you'll still do what you want after all,"
Bison chuckled, "You're right, I always do what I want, Zeno, just like I'm going to get that pen first thing tomorrow morning," He informed and walked away, going to drag a chair from the corner.
He placed the chair in front of Zeno and sat down, smirking at him. "It's a shame you didn't reply to my messages; I had to take matters into my own hands; I hate wasting time, Mr. Evader," Bison crossed his legs, his eyes looking Zeno up and down.
Zeno slowly looked up at Bison, his face expressionless, "You're not getting that, Pen, Bison; Sebastian is no fool," His voice was calm.
Bison smiled, "But you see, love is foolish, don't you believe?"
Zeno frowned, wondering where Bison was going with his speech.
"Don't act surprised, I saw you guys in Japan. You g love is always so sweet. So, do you still think I wouldn't get the pen? Romeo would want to save his Juliet, or in your case, it's Romeo saving Romeo," He laughed evilly.
Zeno balled his fists behind him, he wished he could just put a bullet between the man's head and end all this. He was sure Nicholas would be thankful to him for skiing his father.
"You're still not getting it. Sebastian and I broke up, he won't come looking for me, just give up already," Zeno told him.
Bison shook his head, "It doesn't matter. Take this as my way of giving you both closure; I know you seek it. I'm not promising that any of you will leave this place alive, but I'm kind enough to let you day your last goodbyes," he chuckled.
Zeno was angry, he hated that man so much. "Why are you doing all this, Bison? Is it going to be worth it in the end? Why not just let everyone be and mind your own damn business," He suggested angrily.
"I wish I could. To answer your question, yes, it's going to be very worth it in the end, I'm sure by now you've figured that I'm the bad guy. You see, that secret pen, it's my evidence that's in there. That foolish man has been using it to control me and my business for so long, I need to destroy it, so yes, it'd going to be very worth it, my dear boy," Bison informed.
Zeno slowly nodded, "I knew it," He muttered.
"Mmm, it's unfortunate I had to kill your parents, and you're lucky you took your Grandma to a hospital that is protected by Orion's men..." He chuckled, "I would have killed her a very long time ago too," He smirked at Zeno.
Zeno felt a slow simmering rage building within him, he stared at Bison's face for a very long time, his eyes conveying his emotions, "Then, I hope you're a man of your word, make sure I don't get out of here alive, I promise, I'll send you right where you sent my parents," He was breathing heavily with anger.
Bison was still smirking, "Trust me, I will. However, if your parents never recorded me in that room, they would have still been alive body. My condition is live a boomerang effect, it backfired on me. In case you don't know my job, I harvest organs, sell them, and make a filthy amount of money, that's what I plan to do with you, you're young, and your organs will fetch me quite a sum, I might recover what your parents made me lose," He sighed in satisfaction.
"Bastard," Zeno cursed.
A young man suddenly walked into the room, bowing to Bison. "Boss, Mr. Orion's men have been sighted around the area; they seem to be planning an attack," The man informed.
"Let them, we'll be ready when they are," He waved his hands dismissively.
The young man bowed and walked away.
Bison smiled at Zeno, "You see? I told you that life makes people foolish. Sebastian thinks abusing my territory at night would give him a headstart in the morning, too bad, he's going to meet his doom if he fails to cooperate with me,"
"So...my house, Mr. Orion was never there, right? You made that up too," Zeno asked.
Bison shook his head, "That wasn't a lie, he was indeed in your house. However he wasn't the one who did that to your house, it was all me, my boy, I went to do a little search for the pen, but your stupid parents had given it to your boyfriend's father. He was just there to check for damages; he's such a good man that he immediately has people repairing the place for you; too bad you're never going to live there again," Bisom stood and dragged the chair back to where he got it from.
"You're parents worked for Mr. Orion, just like I told you. I never thought my actions would backfire, I had used one of Mr. Orion's secrete warehouses to harvest a few organs in the hope of recording the bodies and telling the world that he was the one who did it, unfortunately, your nosy parents worked in his security department, they saw the footage, instead of minding their business, they sent it to him, so I had to kill them, I hate it when people mind my business,"
He turned back to Zeno, "He's been keeping you away from me, Zeno, he knows what I'll do to you if I found you, he kept you with his son to protect you, but here you are, right where you're supposed to be," He picked up a bat from the table at the corner of the room, walking back to Zeno with malicious purpose.
"You think you're going to get what you want?" Zeno scoffed.
Bison nodded, "I'm already halfway there, you idiot," He raised his head and hit Zeno's head with the bat, knocking him out.
Zeno fell to the floor with a thud, feeling his consciousness fade away at a slow but steady speed.
