Chapter 253
Jeremiah lay on Jasper's bed, his heart pounding softly.
He was yet to understand what Jasper wanted that night. They were yet to speak, and Jasper was still speaking to Sebastian on the phone out on the balcony.
He wasn't concerned with what they were discussing. He just wanted the call to end so that Jasper could come back in.
After a few minutes, Jeremiah sighed and turned on his side. It seemed like Sebastian had something important that night, the call was still ongoing.
He hugged a pillow to himself and closed his eyes, sleep slowly taking over him.
He didn't know how long later, but in his hazy, sleepy state, he felt the familiar arm wrapping his waist and the warmth of someone pressing behind him.
He leaned into that warmth, needing to feel every inch of the person behind him.
"I missed you, too," Jasper's soft voice spoke behind Jeremiah.
Jeremiah stilled, closing his eyes tightly to savour the warmth that washed over him from Jasper's words.
"You're awake, right?" Jasper asked tenderly.
Jeremiah gulped quietly, replying with a soft hum.
Jasper sighed and pulled Jeremiah even closer against him, stuffing his nose in his neck.
"I missed you, too, Jerry," he repeated against Jeremiah's neck.
Jeremiah slightly shivered as Jasper's warm breath fanned his sensitive neck, sending warm tingles down his spine.
He couldn't believe it. The man he had stalked for weeks was right behind him, holding him, and telling him he missed him.
What else was a miracle if not this?
He had already concluded that Jasper was never looking his way again; the way Jasper treated him so coldly made all hope leave his heart.
However, it seemed like all hope wasn't lost.
"I do owe you an apology," Jasper said, reaching up to hold Jeremiah's hand that was holding the pillow.
Jeremiah breathed slowly, "You don't, Jasper. I do," he said and gently turned to face Jasper.
Their eyes softened the moment they locked gazes.
Jeremiah roamed his eyes around Jasper's face, he couldn't believe he was finally back in Jasper's arms.
"God, I missed you," Jeremiah chuckled, fixing his face in Jasper's neck.
Jasper hugged him tighter, placing his lips on his hair.
"I shouldn't have let you go in the first place," Jasper murmured.
"I deserved your coldness, I said some mean things," he said, looking up at Jasper's face.
"Just so you know... our time together wasn't boring, far from it... I was just being an idiot for no reason," Jeremiah explained, frowning slightly.
Jasper caressed Jeremiah's face with his fingers, "I said some harsh things, too, when I shouldn't have. I made it all worse. I'm sorry." He smiled sadly.
Jeremiah shook his head, "I'm sorry, too. I -"
"Enough with the apologies. I love you," Jasper cut Jeremiah off with his unexpected confession, his eyes gazing deep into Jeremiah's.
Jeremiah forgot how to breathe for a few seconds; then, his breath turned hot and low, a slow shudder travelling down his spine.
He slowly opened his lips, breathing softly through his mouth.
Jasper's confession had rendered him speechless, and temporarily frozen.
"You do?" Jeremiah asked in a whisper.
Instead of answering, Jasper leaned in and kissed Jeremiah's lips. A gentle unhurried kiss that told Jeremiah that he had all the time to do other things, but for now, he wanted to kiss his sweet lips.
Jeremiah's eyes fluttered shut, his toes gently curling as Jasper's warm lips moulded perfectly against his, an assuring kiss he didn't know he needed.
Jasper gently pulled his face away, tracing his thumb along Jeremiah's lower lip.
"Yes, Jerry. I have, for quite a long time," He said, smiling.
"You meanie, why did you act so cold? I felt so guilty... and alone," He narrowed his eyes at Jasper.
"Lonely? You have a twin," Jasper reminded.
Jeremiah rolled his eyes, "Kill me already. I wish I didn't, he's a pain in the ass." He muttered.
Jasper smiled, "He might be a pain in the ass but he does care about you." He said.
Jeremiah sighed, "Yeah, and he's annoying, too." He chuckled.
"Talking about being a pain in the ass... I'm the only one who can be that pain, and your pleasure, too," Jasper's voice turned husky, his eyes dimmed with arousal.
Jeremiah drew in a slow breath, sucking his lower lip, "When you put it that way, Jas… I couldn't have agreed more," Jeremiah whispered, his voice a low, gravelly sound. He reached up, his hand finding the back of Jasper's neck, his fingers tangling in the hair there. This wasn't just about the physical; it was about the easy trust between them, the shared history that allowed them to move from teasing to this intimate, charged moment so seamlessly. Jeremiah pulled Jasper closer, his eyes locking with his, "So, are you going to prove it?" he challenged, a soft smile playing on his lips, his voice still trembling with a want that was no longer a secret
He released his lower lip and let out a shaky sigh as Jasper's hand came up to cup his jaw. Jasper’s thumb traced the line of his cheekbone, a slow, deliberate touch that sent a shiver down his spine. Jeremiah's eyes fluttered shut, his head tilting back slightly as he instinctively leaned into the heat of Jasper's hand.
"Do you love me?" Jasper questioned in a low tone.
Jeremiah’s eyes fluttered open, focusing on Jasper, "What?" He asked, blinking slowly.
Jasper shrugged, "You never said it in return." He replied.
"Gosh, Jasper..." he cupped Jasper's face, "Don't be like this, you know I love you. I wouldn't have stalked you like a lunatic if I didn’t," Jeremiah smirked.
Jasper's lips lifted in the corner, "I kinda enjoyed that." He said.
"You devil, you let me suffer," Jeremiah's hand slid under Jasper's shirt, pinching his stomach.
"Ouch... I enjoyed the attention, but I suffered, too. I wish you would walk up to me instead of hiding. I wanted to meet you, but I doubted whether you'd let me. I have your twin to thank you for tonight. He gave me the push I needed," Jasper took Jeremiah's hand that was wandering inside his shirt and lowered it between his legs.
"You don't have to stall, I know this is what you want," his husky whisper feathering Jeremiah's lips.
Jeremiah flushed, but he still slid his hand under Jasper's waistband, sliding lower to the waiting length.
"I do want it," Jeremiah smirked as he wrapped his hand around Jasper's member, the warm thickness sending raw hunger searing through him.
Jasper released a shaky sigh, he'd missed that touch for quite a while.
He placed his hand behind Jeremiah's neck and lay his forehead on Jeremiah's, "If you want it, it's yours... ride me, my cowboy." He whispered and claimed Jeremiah’s lips in a hungry kiss.
