Chapter 244

"Hold on," Andre got out of bed, bending over to pick their discarded shorts.

He caught up with Cross, who was already heading to the bathroom and hugged him from behind, "I never said I'm answering the door." He placed his jaw on Cross's shoulder, kissing his neck.

Cross shrugged, "It's fine, I need to shower anyway." He said and took the shorts from Andre, "You're invited to join me." He said and walked into the bathroom, leaving the door open.

Andre quickly walked over to the bed and picked up his phone, calling the intruder behind the door.

"Hello, morning, Tony. Yes, in awake, I'll see you in a few minutes," He answered and ended the call, hurrying inside the bathroom like an excited teenager about to make out with his first boyfriend.

After showering, they dressed for the day and decided to go look for something to eat at the beach bar.

"What?" Cross questioned as Andre subtly moved away from him the moment they stepped out of the building.

Andre shook his head, "Nothing. What did I do?" He asked, fixing his hands in his pockets.

Cross narrowed his eyes as the sun shone down on them, "Nothing." He replied, walking quietly by Andre's side.

He had wanted to hold Andre's hand but he was subtly reminded that they weren't quite there yet. He'll be patient, he was getting there. If he could get Andre to admit that he wanted him, then he'd definitely make him love him.

He had all the time to wait.

"Morning, Andre. Morning, young boss," Poke greeted them as they walked into the bar.

"Good morning, Pole. You look fine this morning," Andre said, touching Pole's new haircut.

Pole shrugged, "I always look fine, Andre. Don't tell me you're falling for me -"

"If he falls for you then I'll marry a duckling..." Cross interrupted, eyeing Andre darkly as he lowered himself into a chair.

"Um, what does it mean?" Pole whispered to Andre.

"It means that you're so ugly that even an ugly duckling is a better option than you," Andre whispered back.

Pole suddenly frowned at Cross, "You..." he paused and smirked.

"You know what? I don't have that luxury of time as you do. I'd rather spend my morning telling Andre how Leon spent his night in the bar with me, begging me to convince Andre to accept his pursuit," Pokecsaud, smiling secretly as he watched the rafevabd jealousy build in Cross's eyes.

"What do you mean?" Andre asked, pulling Pole away from Cross, nearing the bar.

"What? Why are you pulling me away from him, It's not like you're -"

"I am," Abdre cut him off.

"I am involved with Cross, Pole. And from what you just did, I'm sure you already figured that out. Are you trying to cause problems for us?" He asked with a raised brow.

Pole smirked, "No. I'm just trying to teach him a little lesson so he stops messing with me, or any other person." He shrugged.

Andre sighed, "Come on, don't play like that. You know he dies to mean it." He said.

"Huh? Calling me ugly? Have you seen me? Why the fuck will he joke with that, nah, I don't roll with that shit. He calls me ugly, I hurt his fucking feelings. Dumbass young boss," Pole rolled his eyes.

Andre smiled, "You're really ugly, on the inside," he chuckled.

Pole laughed, "So... it's official?" He questioned.

"Unofficial. I'm trying to figure out if I Dud the right thing. Do you think the boss will kill me for fucking his cousin," Andre asked seriously.

Pole tapped his finger on his chin as he thought, "It's not like he's not fucking someone else's cousin, he'd understand." He tapped Andre's shoulder.

Andre furrowed his brows, "I'm being serious." He said to Pole.

Pole nodded, "Okay, fine, don't take my word for it... You know how unpredictable Boss can be. He may or may not kill you the moment his eyes set on you." He scratched the side of his head.

"Cody was right, you're the worst person to go to for advice," Andre facepalmed.

Pole scoffed.

"So, about Leon, we're you serious?" Andre asked, turning serious.

He wanted to know if Leon had resorted to announcing to people about his stupid pursuit of him.

He couldn't even start to imagine himself with Leon, with any other person who want Cross. He dated to glance at Cross and looked away immediately when he saw glares Cross was throwing at them.

He smiled to himself, Cross was a handful but he had his ways around him. He was becoming more of a cute little bear to him than the wild, scary bear he was portraying himself to be.

"You're fucking lost," Poke snapped his fingers in front Andre, shaking his head at him.

Andre cleared his throat, "What did you say?" He asked.

Pole sighed, "I said, Leon seems quite serious about you. He didn't want to let me retire for the night, always kept asking me what to do to make someone realise he had feelings for them." He said.

Andre scoffed, "Just ignore him. He'll go away when he gets tired." He told him.

"Hi, guys. Why's Cross looking at you both like he wants to kill either of you?" Cody sauntered over, looking vibrant with his telli shorts and white shirt.

Andre glanced at Cross, holding his gaze for a few seconds before he sighed and turned to Cody. "Good to see you looking happy and colourful." He smiled at Cody.

"Yeah, I'm happy for myself, too. So, about Cross, who crossed him?" He chuckled, "What a name." He muttered.

"I know right? Why will his mama name him Cross? Does she mean a crucifix Cross? A crosswalk? Crossing someone?" Pole asked, chuckling.

Cody smiled brightly at Pole, "Who knows? We also want to hear from your mama because, what the fuck did she mean? Pole? North Pole, South Pole, flagpole, utility pole, magnetic poles, electric poles or something else entirely? I've been dying to ask." He smirked.

Andre laughed, nodding his head, "Now I'm curious, too." He fist-bumped Cody.

Pole frowned, "I see what you did there, Cody, I see you. Don't forget we once had feelings for each other," he reminded.

Cody shook his head, "You, Pole. It was all you feeling the feelings, I told you I loved someone else," His eyes dimmed as he replied to Pole, Ida's face flashing in his mind's eye.

"Tough," Pole muttered.

"Here he comes," Cody whispered.

Before Andre could look up, he heard Cross's voice by his side.

"Two bottles, please," Cross said, but he wasn't speaking to any of the guys.

Andre frowned and turned to Cross, trying to understand what he was doing.

"Excuse me," He said to his friends and shifted toward Cross.

"Hey," Andre said in a low voice as he shook his head at the bartender.

"You can't be drinking this early, we're out to eat, not drink," Andre reasoned.

Cross's face remained stoic, "So you finally have time for me? I just wanted to keep myself company." He replied.

Andre sighed, "I'm sorry." He touched Cross's hand briefly.

"Then, I'm hungry... or I'll drink," Cross said and walked back to his chair.

"You indulge him too much. Don't be a simp," Pole mentioned.

"It's called love, Pole. But I understand, you'll never understand." Cody scoffed at Pole.

"Chill, man. It's not that deep," Andre said, feeling awkward.

Love?

"Hmm, it's not that deep. But I'm sure you go that deep when you..." Cody paused, raising his brow at Andre.

"He's out for violence this morning," Pole murmured.

"I'll ring Royal to bring a meal over, I'm starving as well," Cody said and walked away.

Andre sighed, "Get used to him, Cody's usually more outspoken than this. He's just getting started." He said and walked away, heading to Cross's table.

But, Andre never made it to the table.

"Hey, handsome, good morning. Can I have a word with you?" Leon majestically blocked Andre's path.

"Morning, Leon. You -"

"Excuse me," Cross suddenly slid past Leon, holding Andre's hand, "We were just about to eat, Leon. Join us if you want to. Come on Andre," He said and pulled Andre away with him.

Leon narrowed his eyes at them, observing something he might have overlooked about Cross.

"That's not what I asked you to do, Mr. Leon," Pole said, grabbing Leon's hand to turn him around.

"You asked me to create an opportunity to get a private time with him. That's what I'm doing," Leon replied.

Pole sighed, "Not immediately you see the man, Leon. Give him some breathing space first."

"Okay, Master. I understand," Leon touched Pole's cheek and winked at him before turning to walk toward Andre's table.

Cross had invited him to join for breakfast, he couldn't refuse Sebastian's declared cousin.

Pole stood there frowning, he wiped Leon's touch with his sleeve and hurried over to the table. He could sense trouble brewing and he hoped it wouldn't escalate as usual.
