Chapter Ninety-six
The private room was a dream, tiny dangling bulbs hung from the ceiling, giving it the appearance of a surreal sun. The walls of the room were mirrored which only highlighted the hundreds of little chandeliers that took up all of the space on the ceiling.
Lukas pulled out her seat for her and helped her take off her coat before she sat down, only then did he go to the other side of the table which was made out of gilded gold. Although it was dark outside, it didn’t touch the interior of this room which seemed timeless from the lighting.
They were served efficiently and for the first time after they got out of their car, they were alone. Claire couldn’t help her little smile at the pissed-off expression that Lukas wore, she was pretty sure she knew exactly why he looked so murderous.
And she wasn’t wrong because shortly after, Lukas beckoned her to sit on him. Claire didn’t hesitate, hopping out of her seat in record time. The lights in their room were dimmed sufficiently, which was a relief because, with the lights previously mimicking sunlight at high noon, it was a little difficult to feel the ambient mood for a dinner date.
Claire should probably not be as relaxed as she was especially with her fiance’s growing frustration every time they were interrupted by a waiter or chef but she was. She loved to see just how much Lukas wanted her, it didn’t even bother her that the werewolves that came in found her sitting right on him.
Half an hour in, Lukas had reached his breaking point, his hold around her waist tightened subtly, his handsome fair mere inches from her. “Are you full, baby?”
The pet name made Claire beam, even if she hadn’t been full, that was enough to convince her but she was, there was only so much she could eat from the feast they kept bringing to their table.
“I am, ready to leave?” She asked in turn, expecting Lukas to let her down so that she could retrieve her coat and they could leave.
So it caught her off guard when Lukas rose to his feet easily with her in his arms, she threw her hands around his neck with a soft sound of surprise. She recovered quickly though, not so much as flinching when a waiter walked in after a hurried knock to find Lukas grabbing her coat and making for the door.
“Y-Your Highness… ar-are you leaving?” The waiter panicked, he had merely come in to check in on their special guests and find out if they had any requests only to find them already leaving.
This was terrible, they had hoped to be able to keep them in the restaurant for at least an hour more because of how much patronage it was bringing to the restaurant. The amount of money that would be made in that space of time might triple an entire month’s earnings.
“Put the charge on my tab,” Lukas said without breaking his stride, sweeping out of the room with his mate in his arms to the excited surprise of everyone that had come to get a look at them.
The paparazzi ate this up, taking far too many pictures for the simple scene. Lukas got into the backseat with Claire who was still in a bright mood to contrast Lukas’ dark one.
The driver only drove far enough to lose the paparazzi before Lukas asked them to stop, they were in a quiet but brightly lit street and Claire sat up curiously to see what was happening.
She was seated in between Lukas’ legs, her back up against his powerful torso and she could feel exactly what had him in such a foul mood resting hotly against her lower back. She expected that they would be driven straight to the mansion and Lukas would take her while she was still in her leather miniskirt and high boots.
The driver was asked to head to the mansion all by himself while Claire was helped into the passenger seat by Lukas who didn't miss any chance to touch her. Claire crossed her legs and leaned in Lukas' direction with hearts in her eyes as he got in the driver's seat and took over driving.
"Where are we going?" She asked, cupping her face with a palm.
Lukas' dark mood broke when he glanced at her, a devilish smirk on his handsome face. "Scared, little human?"
Claire was far from scared, Lukas exuded danger like an expensive cologne and she was helplessly drawn to him. "I could never be," She murmured, her eyes fixed on him.
*'Not anymore'* was added to her reply in her head. Before she and Lukas got their shit together, she would have been terrified out of her mind if he suddenly kicked out the driver and started taking her off to a place she wasn't told.
"We're going someplace where we can be alone," He answered her question honestly.
Claire smiled softly, never taking her eyes off him even once. "I'd like that."
Lukas' response to that was a softly muttered curse as he stepped on the gas.
Claire understood his impatience because she felt the same, although she remained calm, there was heat running underneath her skin. She was primed and ready for him, and she really couldn't wait for them to get to their destination.
She couldn't say exactly where they were headed, the fact that she didn't take her eyes off Lukas even once during the entire drive didn't help very much.
They got to their destination in a short time and only when Lukas killed the engine did she look out the dashboard to the most impressive sight she had ever seen.
Lukas had driven up a cliff of sorts that overlooked the city, she could see the twinkling lights from the high-rise buildings and the residential areas, she could even see the distinctive mansion from here.
She turned to Lukas with a bewildered expression, "It's so beautiful," she said breathlessly.
Lukas leaned across the divide and cupped her face, his entire attention fixed on her. "Not as beautiful as you are…"
Claire quickly forgot about the sight of the bright lights of the city, finding herself drawing in Lukas' eyes instead. She doubted it was possible but she could almost swear that the dark depths of his eyes reflected the city lights making them look like stars in his midnight blue eyes.
When he leaned forward to claim her lips, she met him halfway, keeping their lips fused together even when he practically lifted her onto him.
Claire’s leather skirt hiked up higher to give her enough mobility to straddle Lukas. She could feel the steering wheel against her butt and perhaps the driver's seat was a little bit too cramped for a make-up session but she was too far gone to care.
Lukas' fingers dug into the bare skin of her waist, his hands slipping lower to cup her ass and even lower to tightly grip her bare thighs.
Claire broke off the kiss to catch her breath, her hands scrambling to undo the buttons of Lukas' shirt, she needed to feel his heated skin with her hands, nothing in-between them.
Lukas seized the chance to seek out her mating mark, and he found it with pinpoint accuracy in the dim lighting of the car.
Claire cried out his name when he sucked on the sensitive bundle of nerves. It was suddenly not enough, they both still had too much clothes on, she needed to be closer to Lukas, she needed his hands on every inch of her skin, she needed… she needed…
Claire couldn't say for sure how they got there but in a few minutes, she was seated on the hood of the car with Lukas in between her parted legs. He had pulled down her tube top so he could palm her breasts, warming them from the slight evening breeze.
It was exhilarating, the sensations were too much, which meant that they were just right. She felt Lukas reluctantly pull away from her stiffened nipple which he had previously been sucking on to pull down her lace panties. Claire moaned when the cool breeze hit her wet nipple, a full body shiver going through her.
Her moan morphed into a soft cry of pleasure when Lukas found her wet heat, his fingers delving into her soft velvety walls to prepare her for his length.
Her leather skirt was bunched up at her waist, her tube top joining the outfit so that her perky breasts were out in the night air. Her lace panties hung off one heeled boot as Lukas pulled her to the very edge of the hood so that he could push into her.
Claire held onto his powerful shoulders with her legs wrapped around his waist as her body welcomed him, pleasure sparks behind her eyelids as bright as the city lights behind them. The realization that it was just them out here hit her and she might have cried out Lukas' name louder than she should.
Especially when she had her upper body on the slowly cooling car hood while Lukas slammed into her from behind. Claire got what she needed and a lot more, the cool air delicious against her heated skin, right where they were joined.
