So possessive

RENEE'S POV_

I waited. I waited some more. I glanced back toward the gym doors, waiting for Renee to finally emerge. My feet kicked up on the dash, I pulled out my phone to shoot Brent a text.

\-We need to talk later. Immediately I received a message in return.
\-What did I do? My eyes rolled at his assumption that he was in some sort of trouble.
\-Nothing!

The passenger door swung open. I quickly stuffed my phone into my pocket right before Renee sat down. Are you okay? Where the hell is your bag?" I asked when I saw the balled up clothing in her arms.

She shook her head with no verbal response in return. I started up the car, glancing one last time into her direction before I pulled out of the parking lot...
Renee's personality had become questionable. Before, she was depressed, stressed and also miserable. They were a few emotions I could not blame her for feeling on the account of her current situation.

Now, something was strange about her. Her sadness, her depression, had become something different. Something almost fearful. Something I could not help but question myself.

She had become much more secretive, much more determined to keep things private. Her refusal for help had become outrageous. It was as she thought she could take on the supernatural world herself.

\-Where are you?
I sent Bane another text message when I did not find him in the home.
Meet me at the mouth of the woods. I don't have time for ur BS. just bring your ass on.
I tossed my phone on to the bed before I walked out of the bedroom to make my way downstairs and out of the house.

Cool air twisted around me as I made my way to the mouth of the woods. The sun was low; the darkness had nearly taken over the woods itself. I looked around, curious as to where Bane could be. I didn't want to play his games. I had some things to discuss with him.

"Bane", I yelped over the whistling wind. "If you don't bring your ass on."
I huffed; almost ready to turn away before a werewolf came trotting out of the woods into my direction. It was rare that I came in contact with his wolf. So vibrant. So large. So beautiful.

I refused to use the word adorable no matter how many times it came to mind. I had come to terms with the fact that he hated being described using such feminine terms.
"Nice for you to join." I grinned as I watched him circle me. "Do you mind joining me in human form?"

He huffed, rubbing his muzzle against my shoulder before he nudged me toward the woods.
I walked, admiring the four legged wolf that took off in front of me. Long legs and smooth strides, he ran off, leaving me completely alone in the middle of nowhere.

I stopped and stood there, listening as the wind screeched passed my ears. It felt good, a gentle breeze that nipped at my hoodie and leggings. I waited, wondering when he would return right before a pair of arms slithered around my waist.

"And what did you want to talk about?" He asked. His soft and gentle voice teased my ear as he squeezed me closer toward his chest.
I could tell by the sensual voice and the lump that pressed against my back side that he was hoping this conversation would lead to something much more entertaining.

Too bad I was not here for that. "It's about Renee." I brushed him away." "Aarrhh." He groaned out, turning away from me. "This again."
"She seems weird."

"You both are weird at times so what is the problem?" Brent sat down, his back pressed against a tree's thick trunk.
"No. I mean she is acting....wild." I wasn't sure how to describe her without alerting Bane. The last thing I wanted to tell him was how she had a bag full of gear used to extinguish a vampire.

"Wild?" His hand ran down his twisted face. "You girls' emotions switch up so fast."
"Would you listen?" I nudged him with my foot. "I'm trying but I'm not even sure what you mean."

It was difficult to even explain to him how strange she was acting without concerning him too much. I knew anything that I report on her would require him to alert Bane.
"I'm not sure what to do." I nibbled on the far corner of my inner cheek as numerous thoughts swarmed me.

"I know what you can do." He lifted his finger as if a light bulb had emerged above his head.
"No, our issue." He groaned as he stood up. "Do you remember last time you tried to avoid the issue?"

"No." I didn't really want to discuss the endless night.
"Let me refresh your memory." He went to speak, despite my plea for him to forget the subject. "Well let's just say you were very...very...very sore."

"Hopefully our walk back would make you forget." I turned to leave. He pulled me back.

"Ah no. How about.." His lips brushed against my chin.

"We skip the house and stay here?"

"What? No. You wolves are always out. What if one come prancing on by?" I whispered.
"No." He hugged me closer. "I will keep them at bay."

"It's weird." And also seemed to be quite interesting.

"I promise you will love it." He kissed and nipped as his fingers pulled at my waistband.

"You're not listening." I commented, my eyes fluttering close, my body weakening under his touch.
"I'm listening." It was obvious that he wasn't. His focus, his concern, was us putting out a fuming fire that was building up between us.

"No." I wanted to fight against the need, the want, the craving.

"I know you feel it. You can't control it."

I exhaled that hitched breath, wondering how anyone could control that sexual tension that would arise so suddenly between them and a werewolf. Sexually driven creatures. Dominating. Possessive and so loving. Protective.
