Don't interfere in it

RENEE'S POV
Have you ever been so fucking pissed off at some information that you've just received that you wasn't sure who to punch in the face first? The person who did it or the knowing messenger?

"He wants to reject her?" I asked through greeted teeth. I didn't want to yell and catch the attention of any wandering ears.

"Yes." "Why?" I questioned. "I- Im not sure."
"When did he realize this?" "I dont know. He said he picked up her scent and when he saw her, he knew it was her. He knew he couldn't be with her." "Okay."

"Okay?"
"Yeah. Im going to kill him." I turned to storm out of the office but was tugged back. "You can not make a scene Niyah. This is HIS choice." He demanded. "Fine." I groaned. "But I want to speak to him. Privately. And I promise, I will not kill him."

"Renee?"
"Okay okay. I wont nag it."

Today, Renee decided to stay at my mother's house instead of coming along with me. I completely understood that she wanted some alone time so I agreed with her. Also, her staying home would be a easy way for me to catch Bane.

Without her scent lingering around, it would be harder for him to know if I was around on the account that Im shielded by Bane's scent.

It was almost time for a patrol switch so I knew everyone would be moving around. I stood at the end of the hall by the staircase, waiting.
Bingo! Immediately, Brent and Bane turned the corner and was heading straight for me, completely oblivious to the monster lurking.

Me.
Eyes immediately caught on to me. Suddenly, Brent turned around and began heading in the opposite direction.
Oh no you dont. I began walking toward him. Well more like pacing, fast. Hey, call me a woman on a mission.

"Bane...-" I was cut off by Jason picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.

"Renee, what are you doing?"
"My room. NOW!!" He growled out.

He carried me into his room and tossed me down onto the bed. He looked annoyed, even a little pissed. "He's getting away." I pouted.
"DID I NOT TELL YOU TO LEAVE IT?" He roared.

The deep base in his voice filled the room. His Alpha tone. So demanding and weakening as his wolf obviously took control of the situation. Shivers crawled up my spine. Is this a strange time to be turned on by it?

"YOU CAN NOT INTERFERE." He reminded me. I lowered my head. Not in fear but in shame that I was completely turned on by his hidden monster. His wolf.

Silence quickly fell, leaving me wondering what caused the abrupt silence.
I looked up at him. His eyes black as night as he watched me. He knew what I wanted right now. He couldn't hide his temptation neither since his erection was pressing against his jeans.

He stalked toward me slowly. His eyes flickering between black and his normal green eyes. He was fighting it. He was fighting for control of it.

Is it bad that I wanted him to lose this fight? I wanted him to lose. I wanted his wolf to surface once more, freeing him so he can do as he please with me.

I leaned back across the bed. No need to remove my clothing since I knew he could do it within seconds for me. The air around me was heating up. My body anticipating him and his monster. His eyes flickered once more, right before landing on its natural color.

Green. "No." He said in a stern voice.
No no?
"I told you before that I will not let it happen again."

"Its okay. Im a big girl." I pleaded. "I said no." He turned and walked out of the room. "Ughh." I flopped back and stared up at the ceiling.
"This is going to be hard."

"Oh." I gasped accidentally out loud, catching the attention of everyone from the table. "Bane...-"
"Renee, can I speak to you for a moment?" Jason placed his hand on my arm, cutting me off in mid-sentence.

"Huh?"
"In the hall...now." He pleaded.

"Yeah, yeah."

I stood to my feet and followed Jason down the hall and up the steps to his office.

"Bane! I think Renee and-"
"Yeah yeah. Renee is Bane's mate." He cut in as he shut his office door. However he didn't look as enthusiastic as I did. Is he not proud that one of his most important fighters and friend's has found his love?

"Why do you not look okay about it?" I questioned.

He sighed in frustration as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. Whats wrong? Something seemed to be nipping at him. Does this has anything to do with that look he gave Brent when they walked in?

"Bane?"
"Renee." He sighed. "Bane is.. He's rejecting her as his mate."
I sat in the back seat, staring up at the ceiling of the car.

I needed this.

A girls night out where there was no more worry nor thought. A night where I can forget all of the pain. A night where reality of my suck ass life would disappear or be erased as if it doesn't exist. Only for a moment though.

"Where are we going?" I questioned Renee. "A small lounge called Spirits."

"Sounds...interesting." Grana said.
"Sounds creepy." I murmured, sparking a flood of chuckles.

"But its fun, and chill." Renee reassured.
"Cool."

Within a few minutes, we reached the lounge. It seemed small on the outside but that all changed once we've reached the inside.
A large area. A dance floor in the middle, and long bar occupying the left wall and red leather-covered booths and chairs positioned on the right side.

"A booth?" Renee pointed to a empty spot. We walked through the small crowd and took a seat at a vacant booth.
What can I get you ladies?" A handsome waiter asked.
