Introducing the luna

BANE'S POV

"I cant wait until you meet the pack." "The pack?" She questioned my choice of wording.

"Um yeah. Out here, pack means...friends or group."

"What are you? Part of a gang?" She toyed.

"Shut up." "Dinner's ready." My mom smiled.

She placed our hot meals on the table and we immediately dug in without any hesitation.

"Tomorrow we can hit up the mall and then head over to Bane's house."

"Sounds like a plan." She smiled.

A mall run with two of my good friends was all I needed. Shopping for clothes and reminiscing about all the things we used to enjoy in philly was great.

"I will never, I mean NEVER, get waxed again." Renee complained. "Yeah.. I know."

We all decided it will be fun to get a bikini wax. Bad idea. It hurt like hell. We pulled up to the pack house and I noticed that Jess looked completely amused by the large establishment.

"Are you guys rich?" She whispered.

"Not really." Renee smirked.

Renee parked the car and we all jumped out and ran up to the house pathway. All except Jess.

Her eyes remand glued to the house, admiring its modern texture and its huge stature. Is she going to do this everytime? She has a lot to get used too.

"Come on, come on." I tugged her arm into the front door.

RENEE'S POV.

Greeting after greeting. So many people welcoming me to town with open arms.

Damn these people are so nice. Im glad Aniyah has made good friends to watch her ass when I couldn't.

I stood in the living room, admiring the fine decor. I wouldn't expect a house full of young adults to look so clean. I alone can make a mess of a room but a house full of them should create a tornado.

"Fancy huh?" I turned to see Niyah's friend, Zeiden.

"Very." I laughed. "Almost too fancy." "What did you expect? To find a junky house?"

"Uh yeah."

"Understandable." He laughed. "Come on, Ill show you the entertainment room." He motioned for me to follow him.

I followed him across the hall into another large room.

"Now this is more like it."

The room had a large entertainment center with a large television and game systems, video games, and controllers all over the floor.

A typical man dean.

"I would say so too." Bane flopped down on the couch.

I took a seat on the other couch right before Bane tossed me the remote control.

"Ladies choice." He smiled. "Thanks."

"Is this mutt harassing you sweetie?" A women's voice called from the doorway.

"Um mutt?" I questioned her insulting choice of word.

"Ignore the grouch please. She will go away sooner or later." Zeiden rolled his eyes. "Just...pretend she is not here."

"Worthless." She rolled her eyes at him then focused on me. "Hi, Im Maya."

"Renee."

"Nice to meet you."

Wow. One minute she looked as though she was going to blow a fuse looking at him but seemed ten times nicer to me. Talk about '0 to 100' real quick.

"Please dont entertain the pest. They would only linger." Bane said.

"Fuck you." She screamed at him. "Aw is the princess bitch mad?"

"I will kick your-"

"Is there a bathroom I can use?" I cut in. The way they were going head to head was kind of overwhelming. Seemed like a fight I didn't want to get in the middle of.

"Up the stairs, second door on the left." Maya voiced with her eyes still trained on Zeiden.

"Thanks."

I nearly ran out of that soon-to-be boxing ring and walked up the spiral staircase and into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and sighed.

"What am I doing here?" I turned on the faucets and splashed a little water onto my face. I couldn't stop thinking about my mother. God I miss her.

Why did I agree to come here? Am I really ready to be around a bunch of people?

I took in a few deep breaths, calming myself from shedding anymore tears, at least in public. Ive been okay during the day, but crying myself to sleep every night. When will the pain stop? When will it go away?

I had to gather my composure. I couldn't hide in here for the rest of night. Or maybe I could. No, I couldn't.

Making sure I was okay, I swung open the door and proceeded out as I fixed my clothing. Unaware of my surroundings, I accidentally bumped into something.

"Shit." I spat, looking up to catch a glimpse of what I hit. More like who.

"Sorry." I apologized. "Didn't see you."

I didn't meet this guy yet. His glassy, bright hazel eyes watched me intensively. Motionless to everything around him but me. It was getting a little disturbing since all he had on was some shorts and some sneakers. He looked a little...disturbed.

Yeah he's crazy. Good thing he's cute. Wait, why are all of these guys hot? And cut? Should that be right?

"Im Renee." I decided to break the staring contest. I extended my hand to him but he didn't budge to shake it.

Um okay. Asshole I see.

"Well....nice to meet you." I rolled my eyes and walked down the hall. I turned to look at him one last time, only to seeing him standing there, his eyes almost...dark as he watched me.

I should tell Renee that he may be a creep or something.

"Where's Renee?" I questioned Bane.

"Where's dinner?" Bane flopped down at the dining room table, completely avoiding my question.

"And why do we have to eat at the table...together?" he frowned.

"Because its never used so it makes it feel like we have it for nothing." I placed the last of the utensils on to the table. "Now wheres Jess?"

"Here l'am." She called as she walked in. "Did you get lost?" I toyed.

"Just ran into some complication." She laughed.

"Oh?" "Yeah, some guy was standing by the- never mind." She shook her head and flagged away the thought.

Soon Maya walked in, carrying a few dishes of food. She placed them on the table and took a open seat.

"Dinner!" I called.

Members flooded in one by one and found their way to a seat. I could see the temptation for the food in their eyes.

Lastly, Bane and Steven walked in. Bane smiled at me and I did.
