Full of anger
RENEE'S POV
He revealed anger; his transformation at such a young age was still cursed with rage. Rage that still controlled his emotions.
Snarls and growls rumbled from the surrounding trees as my pack began to grow impatient with the ill-tempered vampire. It was obvious that they were getting tired of his threatening behavior and aggressive tones.
However I saw pass that anger.
After calming them, assuring them that it was nothing I could not handle, I turned my attention back to our three guests.
"Bane, this is ridiculous. We offered you nothing but our help." Star confirmed. "But you go and do this?"
As usual, Star was gentle when she spoke. She was always so prone to keeping the peace between the groups however at this moment, peace had transitioned into anger. Now, allies were standing on two different sides as they questioned one another.
"We trusted you."
"You never trusted me!" With feeble control over what lived inside of me, I snapped.
"I gave you my hand." He spoke.
"You barely even gave me your damn name." I reminded him. There was no trust. Just secrets I sought to bring to the light.
"You do this? Knowing you need me. Knowing you need my help."
His help? Fraudulent accusations. He was wrong; completely oblivious to what I really knew. He was not my helping hand. I was his.
"No. You need me!"
When said out loud, it really became a reality. My instincts? Now itching to reveal what I really thought of him and his so-called help. Reveal what I really knew, or what I really thought I knew of him. What I thought I knew of all of them.
"You kill an alliance all because you do not get what you want?"
He began to move; his slow pacing began to grab the attention of the onlookers who did not trust him.
"Because you believe I'm hiding a secret? I have explained this to you. I have told you. My hidden identity is what keeps our plans, our movements, private. It is what allows me to sneak through territories without being recognized."
He offered me the same explanation; the same story I just could not believe even if I wanted to.
"But you kill your only hand just for a face?" He spoke with disgust; almost as if he was disappointed in me. "How are you Alpha?"
"Do not insult me!" I stepped closer.
Protective, Ky stepped forward as well.
"Do not question my loyalty and I will not question your capability of protecting your family." He spat.
My capability of protecting my family. I looked at them; confusion ripping through me as I looked into Ky's eyes for longer than needed.
He was so full anger. He was so full of not only rage, but fear as well. He was afraid.
And I knew why.
"No." I spoke; my voice strayed away from that hostile tone. "You don't question my capability of protecting my family."
My instincts told me that what I thought was actually true.
"You question my capability of protecting your family."
Silence struck. Movement stopped as everyone looked on in wonder. Others had no idea what I meant but I was sure he knew. I was sure all three of them knew.
"We share the same person don't we?"
There was no response from them.
"What?" Bane intervened. "The hell is going on?"
"We are not searching for Terra and their friend." I confirmed as I looked at their stoned postures. "Only her"
My pack began to wonder; they wanted to know exactly what I meant by such a statement.
"Tell them."
By the immense silence, I knew they would never be the ones to say.
"What is your name?"
I requested his name. His real name to be exact.
There was an aching silence; a moment that left everyone looking on in confusion and disbelief. A look I could not help but express myself when my accusations were being confirmed as true.
He raised a hand; his black gloves pulled at the hood of his coat until it was pulled back from his head, revealing his face to the onlookers.
His features were slightly different yet he was still similar to the pictures I had seen him in. His once smiling face I was so used to coming across was now stoned with a neutral, emotionless look.
His change, his transformation had done him well; preserving his age to a standstill.
"My name is Chris Gold." He announced aloud; not only to me but the others who wondered who he really was.
Who are you? Some would question. Me? I knew.
"Your real name?"
"My name is Christopher Ross."
He finally revealed...
My black paws struck the earth beneath me as I let my inner beast take complete control of me. I had released the wolf side of my being and restrained the human side for the first time in months. My wolf loved it, and herself a little as well. My speed was unmatched by my fellow pack members who fell behind me and my grace was undeniable to anyone watching. My gorgeous black wolf was a symbol of power, pride, and feminine elegance that was unmatched in this world because I was the only one of my kind.
Werewolves have roamed the world for centuries, living among or isolated from humans. But our world is easily hidden when science contradicts our very existence. Our world, something of folklore, was no myth, merely well-disguised and highly unbelievable. So werewolves aren't truly all that rare. Or not as rare as some would like to believe.
So why am I one of a kind if I live in a world of witches and fairies- the wonderful and the weird?
Because I am a female alpha.
Alphas are meant to be males; it's simply the nature of things. They are tough, cold leaders with minds of strategy and bodies of steel. Since the first lycanthrope was created by the Moon Goddess alphas were these incredible beasts of battle and they were mated to compassionate, but hardy females who could assist with running a pack.
When I was born everyone thought it was a twisted joke.
