Belong together

RENEE'S POV
My back pressed firmly against the wall, I closed my wry eyes in hopes that this was all dream or hallucination. Opening them back up, I realized this was all very real.

Two pairs of eyes watched me in anticipation of my next move. What can I do? Where can I go? The only reasonable exit was being blocked by this...monster.
Truthfully, I probably wouldn't take that exit, even if I was given the opportunity to do so. The house was probably full of unidentified creatures lurking in the halls.

Maybe the window? Hell I can afford to break a limb or two.
A conversation between Renee and Bane was continuing on but all I could hear were mumbles and slurs. Sort of the sound Charlie brown's parents made when they spoke.

A aching pain shot up my spine when I backed up against the wall when eyes suddenly switched to me again.
I should have kept my ass in Philadelphia.

Suddenly my bedroom was now a hot box full of disbelief and fear. Nobody knew how deep down I wanted to kick Bane's ass but I had to admit, a since of relief seemed escape me. Was it good that she finally knew? That she wasn't left in the dark anymore.

"Renee?" She backed away from my reaching hand.
I could sense her fear, her confusion, her uncertainty. The same emotions I had encountered when I first found out.
"Bane!"

"Im sorry but she asked for this." "She didn't ask to be scared."
"She will be okay. Now she know the secret. "
"That you're animals?" Renee's shaky voice came into play. Bane looked toward Renee, unaffected by her choice of word.

"Animals, beasts, monsters, predators, demons, shape shifters, or what we prefer, werewolves. "
"Were-werwolves." She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around herself, her mind desperately trying to cope with this. "This is a joke."
"Yeah you wish." Bane huffed.

"Renee-" I tried to console her.
"This is a damn joke!" She ran her shaky hands through her wild hair.
"Joke, really?!" Bane snapped. "Does it look like I walk around with contacts and plastic teeth. Is this Halloween or something?"

"Bane-" It felt as though I could barely get a sentence out.
"She asked for this secret Luna." Bane lowered his head. "Luna?" Jess questioned. "Is this some type of pet name or what they call their humans."

"No." I took a seat on to the bed. "They refer their leader, or leaders, Alpha and Luna." "So you, the Luna, and Bane an Alpha? So he's a ..?" Her eyes grew wider. "Whose not one of ... them?"
"Hey, watch it." Bane didn't accept the emphasis on the word 'them'.

"Including you? Two." I commented.
"Oh my god." She snapped. "Am I going to be killed for knowing this?" "No, No, No."
"Relax, its not that serious." Bane was not helping much at all. "You asked for the secret."

My patience growing thin with Brent and his unsympathetic remarks, I turned to him. "Since we are sharing the big secrets, tell her the other secret, your secret."
By the sour look on his face, I knew he knew what I was referring too. If we are revealing secrets, why not put all the cards on the table now. Including why she is so important here. Why is she important to him.

"Theres more?" Renee asked. "I prefer not to." Bane mumbled.
"I prefer not to know." "You might want to." I turned to look at Bane again. "It involves you."
"ME?!" Renee yelped. "Oh lord."

"She doesn't need to know anything." Bane stated.

"Im going to get killed here." Renee began pacing back and forth in the corner of the bedroom. "Renee. They couldnt kill you if they wanted too." I smiled. "You're too deep in this."
"Too deep?" What the fuck? How? Am I like part of this gang now?"

"Somewhat." "What-what is it?" "Nothing." Bane quickly interrupted. "Nothing? Are you sure Bane?" I taunted.
The bedroom door opened up and Keira walked in and signaled Bane to leave.
"Thanks." He mumbled.
"No. Bane stay. Tell." "Tell what?" Keira asked.
"His secret." I wanted all the cards to be put on the table.

"What secret. What more could there be besides the fact you-you all are-are monsters?" Renee shivered.
"She knows?" Keira asked.
"Yup." "Thank you. I was tired of hiding this shit." She rolled her eyes.

"WHATS THE SECRET?!" Renee blurted out. Tired and annoyed with the conversation that was getting nowhere, Keira turned to Renee.
"You belong to him."

Well I wanted the secret to come out but not like that. Leaving the room in complete silence, Bane scowled at Keira and Renee stood in the corner, obviously confused.

"Um I dont belong to anyone." Renee's fiery attitude came into play. "Renee didn't want to believe it neither when we told her that she belong to Bane."

"What?" She snapped. "They are together because they like each other."
"At first, that wasn't the case." Keira spoke. "They got together because of that little bond that was kicking their asses."

"Doesn't make sense."
"Have you not noticed the weirdness between you two?" Renee asked.
"What? No. Not..really."

"Have you ever thought 'hey, why does this dude hate me? He doesn't even know me that much.'"
Looking toward Bane, she began to mentally question the things Keira was saying. Realization of all finally beginning to sink into her mind.

"I just thought he was a dick." Bane growled at her, forcing Renee to step deeper into the corner. He turned to Keira.
"SHUT..UP." He blurted.
"This has gone on too long." Renee responded.

"What is going on?" Renee moved a little closer, curiosity probably nipping at her.
"You two belong together. You are his mate. You two have a bond! You two are meant to be together."

"Thats stupid."
"You know what, Im done with this conversation that seem to be getting nowhere. Besides, this is not the time. Bane, Jason needs you in his office.. now."

Eager to get away from this conversation, Bane walked out.
Renee, wide eyed and confused, looked to me for some sort of words. I guess I have some explaining to do.
