Secrets

**Kael**

I entered the mansion where I lived with my mother well past noon. I always avoided arriving at this hour ever since I realized that she was very sad. But on that day, it was difficult to avoid.
Despite everything, I was calm. I managed to talk to Ryan and asked him to have breakfast with my mother. That way, she would feel more at ease and not so lonely.
There had been hours of consecutive sex after Sarah returned from that birthday party, and I felt exhausted now, having slept very few hours. Still, I wanted to know how my mother was feeling today and have a little conversation, taking the opportunity to rest as well.
“Hello, Mom.” I greeted her when I found her in the garden, working on one of her many unfinished paintings.
“Hi, Kael.” She responded, not paying much attention to me.
“I thought Ryan would be keeping you company,” I said, sitting on a garden bench as close to her as possible.
“He left a few minutes ago.” She said, continuing to brush the canvas. “I could be upset with you, son, as I've made it clear that I don't need a babysitter.”
“But you're not, because you really like Ryan and you're happy when he comes to visit,” I added as I had heard that same complaint enough times to have it memorized.
“But you shouldn't have sent him over today.”
Mary turned the stool, facing me and looking at me closely in a way I hadn't seen her do in a long time.
“I'm feeling well, Kael.” She said, seeming very sincere. “You shouldn't worry about another relapse, because it won't happen, believe me.”
I pondered her words for a moment, as well as the way she said it, and I concluded that she seemed different from the woman I had closely observed over the past two years.
“What changed?” I got straight to the heart of the matter.
“I've come to realize that running away from reality won't bring the people I love back. It's as simple as that.”
“And who are these people?”
She spoke of people, in plural, and that immediately caught my attention because as far as I knew, the only person who had shaken my mother in such a crucial way was Patrick, and that was when he was still alive.
I wasn't understanding her anymore, and I needed to understand.
“I need time to sort things out here.” She pointed to her head. “And then I'll tell you everything.”
“So, there's more to this story than I know?” That was a new fact.
“Yes,” My mother confirmed. “But you'll know soon.”
I couldn't wait any longer. I needed to quickly uncover all the secrets that were being kept. While my mother shifted the topic and talked about plants, I sent a message to Ryan demanding the hiring of the best private investigator available in the market.
I have to admit, my mother seemed much better since she talked to Rachel. Now, I suspect that their conversation didn't just revolve around Patrick. Something tells me there's more to this story than just a simple apology from his daughter, and my mother is hiding it from me.

**Sarah**

Today will be my last night with Kael, and I was feeling very nervous, just like the first time I saw him on the yacht two months ago. He had promised a surprise, and I was eager to find out what it was. So, when a beautifully wrapped package arrived with my name on it, I was overjoyed, as I imagined it could only be a gift from him. I was right.
Upon opening the first luxurious box, I found a long turquoise blue dress, made of silk with lace details on the bust. It was simply perfect. The back of the dress also had lace, making the design very sensual. I held it up in front of my body and realized it would look perfect on me.
As I heard my phone notify me of a new message, I knew it was from Kael.

Kael: Be ready by 8 PM.
Kael: I hope to find you dressed especially for me.

A wave of happiness swept over me. All of this held special meaning, especially considering we had spent the entire morning in bed together. Normally, he would leave early, but this time, something had changed. I could feel it.
With curiosity, I inspected the other boxes and came across a pair of elegant black high-heeled shoes, accompanied by an equally stunning clutch bag. There was still a third box that I opened with growing anticipation, and I wasn't disappointed. Inside, there was an extremely seductive set of golden lingerie that made me blush just looking at it.
I would dare say the two pieces had an evident symbolism, as they barely covered my body. They were delicately transparent and minimal in fabric. The panties had only a thin strip at the back, while the bra seemed more like an adornment on my ample breasts, which would be completely exposed. To complete the set, there was also a garter belt accompanied by thigh-high stockings, following the same golden tone. I wondered if I would have the courage to wear such sensual lingerie.
However, when the night finally arrived, I found myself getting ready to meet Kael, wearing that very provocative lingerie. To my surprise, a new message from him arrived, leaving me astonished once again.

Kael: I'll be waiting for you on the rooftop of the building in fifteen minutes.

I looked at the clock and saw that there were exactly fifteen minutes left until eight in the evening, our agreed-upon time. I quickly finished getting ready, full of anticipation. Kael was waiting for me on the rooftop, aboard a helicopter, and an immense smile spread across my face uncontrollably.
"You look stunning," he commented as he approached me.
"Thank you," my gratitude was genuine.
Kael pulled me into a passionate kiss, reigniting the flame of the moments we had shared that same morning.
"Ready?" he asked, pulling away slightly.
"Where are we going?" My curiosity grew as we entered the aircraft, which was already prepared for takeoff with the pilot ready.
