Insane Outburst
**Sarah**
I was leaving the building that housed Nessyxcar's headquarters when I heard someone call my name, and I realized the voice was coming from a luxurious car parked across the street. I hesitated to approach, but upon closer inspection, I recognized Lorenzo, which left me both curious and apprehensive, wondering if something had happened with my sister for him to be waiting for me after work.
"Hi!" I greeted him with enthusiasm, feeling a certain anticipation about speaking with him now. We hadn't seen each other since we parted at the Montreal airport, as he and Rachel had taken a flight to Italy, while I, along with Hillary, had come to London.
"Hi, Sarah," he responded to my greeting with the same excitement, but I noticed he seemed a bit nervous. "I'd like to have a chat with you. Can you get in? I'll drop you off at Hillary's apartment."
I didn't think twice before accepting Lorenzo's invitation to get into the car, an Aston Martin in black, which, for some reason, I thought suited its owner perfectly.
"Is something wrong?" I asked before even sitting down in the seat next to Lorenzo.
He seemed to ponder for a moment before answering, which only added to my apprehension. "Everything's okay, but at the same time, it's not okay," he said, sounding quite confused.
"Can you be clearer?" I asked with a smile, which he returned immediately. Lorenzo is a very handsome man, charming, and incredibly charismatic, and his smile is truly contagious.
"I know I shouldn't be telling you this, Sarah, but I've missed you," his declaration had the power to wipe the smile off my face instantly, as I knew it was completely wrong for him to miss me when he was my sister's boyfriend.
"Lorenzo..." I began to say, but he interrupted with a gesture, taking over the conversation.
"I know this is completely wrong, but I can't keep suppressing what I'm feeling, ever since the moment we met at the hotel, Sarah."
I couldn't prevent my heart from rejoicing at knowing someone had such strong feelings for me, especially when I was feeling so needy and alone.
"I think it's better if we end this conversation here, Lorenzo."
Although I was also feeling wrong and strange things for my sister's boyfriend, I couldn't disrupt Rachel's life in this way.
“Listen... let me speak!" He protested. "On that day, not knowing for sure if it was Rachel or you, it was you who stirred strange feelings in me, and that says a lot about my true feelings, Sarah. I don't know what happened, but the Rachel I met at the club is very different from the Rachel I'm dating now."
I tried to say something, but I didn't want to sink deeper into more lies and opted for silence. I was nervous and worried about all the confusion that Rachel and I had unwittingly stirred up with Enrico and Lorenzo.
"I'm going to end my relationship with Rachel."
"Don't do that!" I almost shouted, shocked to hear what he was saying. "She loves you. Rachel truly loves you, Lorenzo."
"It doesn't matter being with Rachel if the person who truly touches me is you, Sarah."
I might have contested his decision, but at that moment, Lorenzo cupped my face and pulled me into a kiss that, though completely unexpected, was wholeheartedly reciprocated by me from the very first moment.
His lips were soft and tender, so different from Kael's, which were always demanding and seemed to devour me with just a kiss.
But I enjoyed the gentleness with which he kissed me, as well as the way he touched me, as if I were porcelain, easily breakable, and I didn't break away from the kiss, just savoring the moment and completely forgetting all the reasons why I shouldn't be doing this.
However, a deep, masculine voice accompanied by a tap on the window of Lorenzo's car made me open my eyes and quickly pull away from Lorenzo.
I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I realized it was none other than Enrico Bianchi, casually standing beside Lorenzo's car. Upon closer inspection of Enrico, I wondered how he could look so genuinely satisfied to have caught me and his biggest rival kissing inside a car.
However, I already had a feeling deep down that Enrico hadn't bought the story that I was the twin he met at the club in Seattle and had a night of passion with. His reaction to seeing me with Lorenzo only further fueled my suspicion that he had some hidden motive for securing a position within his own team, which led me to deduce that he wanted me around.
As if my life hadn't been crazy enough already, even worse than when I went to Kael's yacht to give him my virginity, I had to get caught in the act. The situation would only have been worse if it had been Rachel catching us instead of Bianchi.
"No need to tell Rachel anything, Enrico," I said, even though I knew that would never remain a secret.
"But your sister can't keep being deceived like this," Enrico insisted, with a cynical smile on his face. "Someone needs to tell her about you two cheating on her."
"I'll tell her myself," Lorenzo cut through his arrogant grin, staring at his rival with hatred in his eyes. "She'll know, but it'll be from me, not from anyone else."
It was clear that Enrico didn't expect this reaction from Lorenzo, but he seemed to settle for that information, and the two of them remained locked in a gaze, evaluating each other as if sizing up the enemy.
I felt uneasy being caught in the midst of that foolish and indecisive dispute about whether to get out of the car and take the subway home or ask Lorenzo for a ride. The decision was ultimately made when Lorenzo started the car and drove away without uttering another word to Enrico, something I truly appreciated him doing.
"Sorry about that," he apologized, looking somewhat embarrassed, much like how I was feeling.
"The blame is mine too," I had to admit, after all, I was participating in the kiss we shared and even enjoying the taste of his lips. And now everything is extremely complicated.
